Hey John! My wife has been gently "nudging" me towards posting. I realize that between my wife, my son, and my daughter that I have been "indoctrinated" and that my freedom is gone and that no one is truly safe from this!

Now the real trick is going to be finding a computer to post on. I know earlier Mike walked from room to room looking for an empty computer and there were none. 4 ppl, 3 computers....you do the math.

Same here amanda. Went in to work extra yesterday for 8 hours and wound up working 16. Who would have thought there would be 16 kids in the hosp the first week of May.

Attention techno-men!


I'm thinking of buying myself a present for Diana's birthday.

I'm tired of lugging the SeaLife camera and all its gear.

I have a couple of choices.

My "old" digital camera is a Pentax 330GS. Although they aren't easy to get a hold of anymore, I can get an underwater housing for it, for around $200.

OR....

I could spend closer to $300 and get Pentax's new Optio W10....first fully underwater digital camera w/o the need for housing.

I did read one review, though, that said the prints from it seem too "pixilated". Does that mean I'd see tiny dots on all my pictures?


I'm worried that the underwater housing they have for my older Pentax might not be the exact one....and then I'd be outta luck...like Virgil in line for the tender.

My opinion would be to buy the housing, except that camera is only a 3mp. That is not a bad thing and it would probably suit you fine. The W10 is only rated to about 5' for thirty minutes. It might be alright for snorkeling, but I'd still be a little leary.

Why not get a housing the Canon?? Isn't that the S1-IS?

Thanks! Wish she would tell me things like that! I am very lucky to have my very own Disney Cruise Director here at home. She takes all of the worry out of the planning. I think we have had at least a thousand phone conversations .......hmm.....maybe two thousand ..... about the cruise so far. I really am looking forward to getting away for a while and enjoying a lot of R&R and meeting everyone.

You basically wear this weighted dive helmet and can walk around the bottom on a guided tour. It's for people who arn't comfortable yet with full diving.

As for the haircut, Erin's decided she wants to let it grow. I don't think it will look good past her shoulders (it's baby fine, like mine, but straight), but agreed to let her grow it through the summer. She did get a cut this past weekend though, to trim up the ends. The woman who did it cut the bangs a bit too short, but that just means they'll be perfect by the time we go away!
