Amanda -- you might try eating at captain jacks at DTD. They are on the dining plan and I ate there twice on my last trip. The lobster was great and the clam chowder was some of the best I have had. They don't take adr's there.

Thanks but remember...me no likey seafood that why me no drivey to JBs! :lmao: Well I do like crab legs..but thats it

I got very productive this morning as long as I stayed off the DIS. Getting my laundry done, cleaned kitchen and mopped floors, cleaned living room, family room, only room I haven't attacked yet is my room.

Need to run out to Kohl's today. See ya'll later

The only request I would make at OKW is to not be near the main road. There are some in the back that can get a bit noisy. There are buildings we like, but I don't know if they even take those kind of requests anymore. I do usually ask for a quiet building.

Thanks Diana! Where has Kevin Been keeping you?? I was just lookiong at your ebay store! Those red strappy shoes are so pretty! I am amazed that Alicia does not raid your supply b4 you can get it onto ebay

Loved both of those as well. I'm listening to Suzanne's Diary from audible now. WOw....to HEAR it is amazing....the way the reader says "Nicholas...." in such a loving, adoring way just melts my heart.
Hmm, I might have to find that.

Ahhhh music to my ears......that sounds lovely and worth the investment to DVC in of itself!

Be warned, Amanda. Most DVC purchases are made after a stay at OKW!

Just popping in here and there. Now I'm the one who can't keep up with the thread!

We have never regretted it. We bought in when the price was still low at BWV (with rebate, cost was $58 per point), then we added on at Beach Club on the cruise in 2002 ($70 per point). since the kids are getting older, we are looking at selling our BCV and have been told we can get between 95-100 per point and it will probably sell within a few days. I don't really want to sell, but I have my son's college to think about and a car for him this summer. Decisions, Decisions

I think we would sell OKW before BCV. I love it over there, and the points are premium. If you need to rent points, everyone wants BCV. But yeah, I was thinking we should sell our extra 150 point OKW contract when Alicia needs a car. Problem is, I keep using the points!

If I did that they'd say "well, better leave your kids at home then!!!!" :lmao:

There ya go, Pam, why not rent your point out each year. That way if you DO want to go, you can skip a year of renting them out, but otherwise you can make $$$$ yearly instead of just once. :confused3

We've never regretted it either. We bought in 2001. And then added on three times (actually, added on twice before the ink was even dry on the first contract!!!) Wished we had gotten in on it when it was $58 a point, but we weren't in the financial position to do so (and luckily didn't know DVC existed at that point!)

OM, that's us! Bought in 2001, added on BCV, added on BCV again right before it sold out. Then went on the cruise in 2002, decided we needed MORE points, and bought another OKW contract resale. That one is a different use year and confuses me, so it will probably be the first to go. I do love our DVC.

Oh, she does. The rule is, if I then find it on her floor, I get to sell it.

Almost caught up...

I had gallbladder surgery in April of 2001. I woke up in the Recovery room to Mike crunching numbers with the DVC point charts on his lap. He said "oh, you're awake, I think we need 206 more points." I think I grunted, then I heard him on the phone calling our guide. At least that's how I remember it, and, actually, it's NOT that far from the truth!!! :)

I am watching Mythbusters right now and they are inverstigating the other uses of vodka. To help take off bandaids, eases itch of poison oak. What ever happened to just drinking it. Drink enough and those things won't hurt, right? :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:
