5/27/06 "Il pochi il fiero i blabbermouths" We *will* sail again Part 8

Now I'm REALLY behind on the board - there's 10 pages just from TODAY! So I'm off to catch up.

no-kidding. I went to bed last night and got up today with about 10 pages to read!!! Craziness. I don't even think I'll tell Mike b/c when I tell him things like that he shakes his head and says "I'd never be able to keep up with that."

Well, we spent the afternoon at the hair salon. Dale got his hair cut first, then she started my color, then cut Ashley's hair, then finished mine. Only 3 hours. Of course, Dale was antsy, thank goodness he took a book, plus I gave him some money to walk down the strip mall. I just hate running back and forth with gas prices the way they are.

We did the same thing Thursday night. We all go in as a family whether you need it or not. but....THREE HOURS??? WOW. All 4 of us are in and out of our place in less than an hour, and this last time it included highlights for me. We love our hairdresser though....it's like a social gathering for us. I've been going there for at least 9 yrs, and the whole family has been going for probably about 7!

Charley is working an extra shift tonight, so I took the kids to Cici's after the hair cuts. Now I don't have to worry about dinner

We like Cici's here. Cheap, fast, and relatively good. Especially if I can keep the kids from eating the cinnimon roll "pizza" and brownies FIRST!

I loved the Kay Scarpetta books for years, but the last few left me very disappointed. Bummer... I, too, am trying to decide what I'm taking on the cruise. My problem is, I keep getting books and then READING them!

I take books everytime and end up reading about a chapter of them. Those steamer chairs on deck 4 put me right to sleep. The chairs on my verandah put me right to sleep. The pool chairs put me right to sleep. Seeing a trend?

Actually....the chairs on the verandah are all new....they know recline back!!! Yeah, like I needed it any easier to fall asleep on the verandah!!

I take books with me too. with the good intention of reading, but fall asleep. Slept most of the way through the PC last year.

Stayed off the boards yesterday and woke up early this morning with almost 20 pages to read. I cant imagine what it would have been like if all the "blabbermouths" had been around.

Just been busy this week. I made very hard school schedules for the kids and then told them if they got them done they got 20 bonus points on their chore chart (which ended up putting them over the edge for the higher allowance and higher "tokens" to be used on fun stuff) They ended up backing their end dates up a LOT---hopefully most stuff will end up being finished pre-cruise!! Plus with the siding guys here there was a lot of distractions.

Let us know what you decide....I know how these animals become one of the family!One of the readons I have resisted getting a dog, is dealing with this very issue! We cant even get someone to keep our kids for a few hours, let alone an animal for a few days while we go on vacation ! So lucky you, that you at least have options!

When we had the Beast we kenneled her when we went away. No way I'd leave that dog alone in my house for endless hours!!! She was no worse for the wear except she always came back smelling like kennel. It was so fun to pick her up....bring her home.....put her straight in the tub.....NOT!

Do not miss that creature....at all!!

We are leaving on the 19th...we are checking in at OKW on the 20th. It will be the 1st time we have stayed there....does anyone have any tips as to what to request? or what not?

We love OKW!! Last time we stayed there we had the BEST room. Convenient to the pool, quiet, and....the very best thing.....we could see what busses were coming 10 minutes before they stopped at our stop.....so the person who was ready to go would be a lookout through the window and read the busses off as they went by. As soon as we heard that our bus passed we knew we had 10 minutes to get to the bus stop. We never truly waited for a bus!!

You'll probably be in a two bedroom. You are going to be overhwhelmed. It's GORGEOUS. Save your Madonna money to put down a down payment on DVC. You'll love it and never want to go back to any other way!! Oh yeah, and give them my name when you buy in!!!

LOVEd Suzanne's Diary for Nicholas as well as Sam's letters to Jennifer--didn't expect to, think it was were I was in life at those moments.

Loved both of those as well. I'm listening to Suzanne's Diary from audible now. WOw....to HEAR it is amazing....the way the reader says "Nicholas...." in such a loving, adoring way just melts my heart.

We have never regretted it. We bought in when the price was still low at BWV (with rebate, cost was $58 per point), then we added on at Beach Club on the cruise in 2002 ($70 per point). since the kids are getting older, we are looking at selling our BCV and have been told we can get between 95-100 per point and it will probably sell within a few days. I don't really want to sell, but I have my son's college to think about and a car for him this summer. Decisions, Decisions

We've never regretted it either. We bought in 2001. And then added on three times (actually, added on twice before the ink was even dry on the first contract!!!) Wished we had gotten in on it when it was $58 a point, but we weren't in the financial position to do so (and luckily didn't know DVC existed at that point!)

I have no idea. I'm from Ohio and have never been to Long Beach or Biloxi. I'm not sure kikiKaren knows either.

that is excatly how i feel. I guess the series is over for me.. The books seem to get worse. Wehn is the next Plum book due out? Did you ever read the Dead and Unwed series by Mary Janice Davidson that i tols you was sooooo funny?

I believe 12 Sharp is due out on June 20...
Haven't read the Dead and Unwed series. That's another one to add to my list.

You are SOOOOOOOO lucky. My ds doesn't give ANY warning. Well, he *might* look at you and say "I don't feel good" immediately followed by the puke. But most times it comes out of nowhere. The boy can even throw up in his sleep and NOT WAKE UP!!! We call that "Dream Puke" around here. I hope he finds a very patient wife (or maybe outgrows it by then!)
