We've got 3 siding estimates scheduled for this week. We're going to have each one give us estimates to repair the storm damage and another to re-side the whole house. We also have our HVAC guy coming to check out our AC before we really need it. Our downstairs unit was acting up at the end of last year. Figured we'd better call before the busy season starts.

Bad mom award, here. I scheduled myself to work the Monday evening of DS's field trip after I told him I'd go. There were only 4 slots on the bus with the kids; the rest of the parents had to carpool. They're going to the St. Louis Zoo and Science Center. He brought home the carpool list, and I didn't see any parents that I wanted to spend 6 hours with in a car, plus we were just at the Science Center for his birthday last September. So I told him that I had to work and couldn't go. It's not like they don't have enough parents to tag along....

We have no problems dropping off our dogs at the kennel. It makes them appreciate us even more when we pick them up. They get baths there at least 2 times as just part of the service. The only thing that I worry about is our dalmation getting enough to eat. She will share a kennel with our cocker spaniel, who is the biggest pig in the world. We have to physically guard the dalmation's food dish to keep the cocker spaniel from eating it all when she's done with her own and until the dalmation decides to eat.

It's going to be another beautiful day here, 70's and sunny. We opened up our pop-up yesterday. DS wanted to sleep in it last night. I told him he could if he wanted to. He was thrilled until he learned that neither dh nor I would be joining him. 40's at night is still a little cool for me in the pop-up unless I'm actually camping away from home and don't have a choice.:cold:

Thought I heard stirrings from upstairs. It's probably ds. He's an early riser, too. I actually had him posting on the teen/tween board last night. He kept getting frustrated because the connection was so slow. It took about a minute for his replies to post.

We're still waiting to hear when the 'official' last day of school is. I'm thinking that the 23rd is going to be report card day. We don't fly out of Indy until 4:30 that day, so we should be OK.

Well, it was almost an all Sandi page, except for OHM couple of posts to spoil it :stir: .

but who gets the TOP????

some people now and then, what have I done to ya'll to deserve this treatment? I've got people renaming me Ohiomeanie and now Sandi's comment. Oh, I feel SO unloved!!!

It has been a chatty few this morning. Leave for a few hours and come back to 3-4 more pages to read.

Bathed the dog andtook her out. The other two are getting ready for church. It will be a beautiful day here again.

Good Morning All - Rained all day yesterday and now it is just gray outside, I swear I can see the grass growing!

I have always used a kennel for the dogs. My kennel had doggie day care so Jesse and Sam got dropped off in the am and I picked them up after work. The kennel was about 10 minutes from my office. I earned big time points with my boss on 9/11/01. I stayed at the office when everyone else went home. My Mom was with my sister and the dogs were close.

Hey, Rachel............we're staying there too! The 26th is the last day for teachers. So as soon as they let us go, usually around 1:00, we'll leave for the port. DH isn't working that day, so it will be his job to tie up all the loose ends and be ready. :thumbsup2

We were very lazy here today. No cleaning........just floating in the pool and mojitos. ;)

We did run to Walmart after dinner, for a "cruise run" (toothpaste, wrinkle reducer.....etc)

:teacher:

Fran, that's great to hear you'll be there too! BTW, I'm Laura - Rachel won't even be going with us on the cruise. Bad Mommy, I know; but we're putting her through college - a cruise would be cheaper!! :lmao:

Last day of school here is 5/24. We're planning to leave early, early the morning of 5/26, so if all goes well we'll be at the hotel mid-afternoon. :woohoo:
