Now you're talking!!!

Cordless tools with lots of torque!!! :woohoo:
Good thing DH isn't signed on. He'd extoll the virtues of his new framing nailer. I have to admit it has sped up the progress of getting the new closet framed in during our den remodel. Of course, it's not the cordless variety.

I know we had this discussion on the 10 day thread and I think we talked about it here as well. We are now the proud owners of a new washer/dryer set. Went with the Whirlpool Duet. Since our current washer & dryer came with the house (and were already used then) 16 years ago it was about time. Should be delivered on Saturday!

party: Congratulations!!! party:

It's the little things in life that make me happy, too. You're going to love them. Sad when at this point in our lives, washers/dryers make us happy, but ya gotta grab it when you can get it. Just think of how exciting the laundry will be now. Yeah, right!!!! :teeth:

They are the best!! We've got a couple of the DeWalt finish, battery powered/cordless nailers and the are AWESOME!! Easy to put up casing and base without having to drag the hose around or listen to the compressor!!

Christmas is coming....... :rolleyes1

Oh, my DH has one and it's the compressor type. He loves it and so do I. It does speed up a job. And with all the new molding/baseboard going up around here, it's great. It freaks the bird out now when the compressor goes on. Come to think of it, me too!!!

Good morning everyone. It's sunny here in NY today. Temps only supposed to go up to around 55 though. Yesterday it snowed, rained and was sunny. We got the whole gamit of weather conditions. Except the twister/hurricane type, thank goodness. The boys both had practices and it was COLD. I pulled the little guy out early. Way too cold to be out there. Crazy coach. I know, I know, one of those mothers but it was below 40 degrees out there.

Anyway...we are NOT living up to our mantra of blabbermouths. Where the heck is everyone? It does make it easier for us East Coasters to catch up in the morning though. Guess I better get going. Got lots of laundry to do. Very exciting!!!!

YEA!! So glad to hear someone else is supporting our "BAMA BOY"!! We have had other local guys to be on idol (BO and Reuben) but Taylor is my favorite!! I remember the finals, with Bo, was our day at CC last May....I could not vote! I still think that was my fault :rotfl2: Let me think...CC  or AI...NO CONTEST!!!

GO TAYLOR :woohoo: GO TAYLOR :woohoo:

Shiann

I missed the end of AI last night and had to find out this morning who was voted off. It was obvious from the groups which group was the bottom 3. We all love Taylor (and Katherine, and Chris).

I wouldn't mind just going to Chankannaab on our own, but don't know what shape it will be in.

That's what I'm thinking... its a quick taxi ride over, but I don't want to bother going if its not in good shape. I've been there before, which is why I want to go back... but I can't even imagine that the great little bar there is still standing, let alone the trails and the snorkelling areas.

I'm sure this will be my only TOP pirate: of the day... lots to do!!

Hi all!

Work has been CRAZY for me this week. Thank goodness my parents are in town to help with the girls & getting dinner ready. It's spring break here & a co-worker took the week off ... right in the middle of proxy season! Our company does a website that allows shareholders to proxy vote. Yesterday I got here at 7 AM & didn't get home until 6:00 PM last night. I hope today is better!

He's got enough compressor hose that the compressor stays in the garage, so it's not so bad. He's had the finish nailer for awhile, now, and with the chop saw with the laser guide, he's all set to finish the den...after I mud and sand the drywall, and after I paint, and after I lay the tile, and after I nag him to re-frame the doors (Menards had 4-panel oak doors in stock and on sale, but in 28-inch instead of the 24-inch that we needed, but will save us a few hundred dollars to enlarge the rough openings rather than special order).

I thought it was obvious, too, until I watched the end. What a surprise for me!

And that's why I'm glad that I don't work in computer programming any longer. I miss the paycheck, but not the stress. Give me my stress-free library job any day.

Thanks Mary for the reminder about the shirts. Right now we have received confirmed orders of 91 shirts and 23 bags. There are a couple of people who notified maria originally that they wanted shirts and we haven't received those yet, so maybe they changed their minds. One more order is in the mail and waiting to receive it.

If you are still thinking about it, try to get the order in by tomorrow. Thanks to maria for compiling the spreadsheet.

I only know one of the remaining..........

I faxed my order in pretty late last night. I met some gals at the movie and brought the form so I could go by Kinko's afterwards and fax it. I presume you received it! We saw Failure to Launch. It was cute.
