Hello Fellow Cruisers!

We just booked the "Double Dip" cruise and will be joining you on May 27th.

Our crew includes myself (Bruce), DW (Sandy), DD13 (Amanda), DD11 (Jennifer), and MIL (Evelyn). This will be MIL’s first cruise ever, but the rest of us have been on 5 other DCL cruises, all on the Magic with the last one being the repo cruise to LA last May.

This is a very active group, and you seem to have very interesting conversations. However, I don’t think the eight weeks before the cruise is going to be enough time to read all 34,000+ posts and to catch-up on the happenings. Can someone post a quick review of any DIS Meets or events being planned?

Amanda has already found the teen thread and is making friends there. She is excited about her first cruise as an official teen and having “The Stack” as a hang-out.

My hope is to make this a true vacation and leave work at home, but there is the possibility of me needing to bring my laptop. Does anyone have the latest information on wireless availability and costs?

We’re looking forward to seeing the Big Screen at the Goofy Pool and meeting some new DIS friends, but mostly relaxing and enjoying the week on the Magic.

Officially WiFi is availble in the atrium, deck 9, The Promenade Lounge, and I think another place or two. Can't tell you how much other than it was minutes based, and not cheap. Unofficially, I've read the range is a little better than that and some cabins can get it, some can't. I've used mine on Deck 5 by the atrium where there are some nice chairs and tables to setup on with no problems, even has outlets.

Geez! That thing is HUGE! We lived in both Gainesville and Ft. Lauderdale for over 5 years and never saw a gator. Thank goodness!

Gosh, saw lots of Gators jogging around Lake Alice - almost stepped on one...and in Ft. L -- well, let's just say I have seem many, many, many....of course, this is west of town....inside the city, they tend to stay hidden, in parks and playgrounds....stealing a few stray cats.....or tourists...

I'm sitting here watching this bird go back and forth, back and forth like he was in jail (basically he is). It's hysterical! He goes from one perch to the next to the next up the side of the cage down to the bottom. He's crazy. Is this normal? It's only his 3rd day with us. I feel sorry for him.

Sorry I have been off-line Maria, but we are birders....I'll try to see your earlier posts, rather than asking what type is he? How large is his cage etc.

Birds will hop and jump from post to post when they want attention from you.....they are basically flock birds and if there is only one in a cage, they will want you to become their flock-mates.....

He may also be stressed if it is only his 3rd day, esp. if he (she) was with other birds....if he seems too stressed, try placing a light cover (sheet) over him.

Well -- there is no way I can catch up on all the posts you guys have made over the last few days. I am up to April 1 at this point.

While I was at AK yesterday, I reached into one of those drink carts to pull out two waters, and my shirt caught on the cart and ripped it. Well, they gave me the waters at no charge and then I got a voucher to get a free shirt in the park. Unfortunately, I had to get it in AK and I really didn't find anything that I really liked. Oh well, did get a new t-shirt.

I am off now, gotta run and go to a meeting and then will probably go to MGM later today. Will try to check in tonight when I get back to the room. DOn't have too much fun without me (haha)

I realized, too, with the gator in the front of the picture, that it was somewhat distorted, but still.....it's big enough for me. I wouldn't want it in my backyard!
