I have a question for all of you really computer savy people. I would like to make a few door signs, but don't know where to start. I have seen some great ideas, but when I save the image and try to reuse it, it becomes really distorted. What do I need to do?? I have photoshop but don't really know much about using it. When you are copying the image, does the file need to be copied a certain way???

Do what I do -- keep cklicking unti something works :teeth:

Seriously, the prgram will walk you through it......as to size, adding letters, some (like mine) offer crop options for hearts and stars...

was up most of the night unable to sleep. there isnt a whole lot that goes on here in the middle of the night. Thank goodness this is a no work week. or else I would be in big trouble.

Saturday is Matt's 16th birthday and he gets to spend the morning in Titusville flying a helicopter. It's not skydiving, but at least I don't have to jump out of a plane.

In today's paper I found the next perfect event for Matt's birthday, and also a pre-cruise test. Saturday is the Pie Festival at Celebration and they have

· The Never-Ending Pie Buffet, featuring award winning pies, ice cream, toppings and beverages Featuring pies from Bakers Square, Bonert's Slice of Pie, Edwards, Harlan Bakeries, Kenny's Key Lime, Mrs. Smith's Bakeries, Sara Lee Bakery, Village Inn Restaurants and Wick's Pies

Matt and Lisa are already primed and ready to go. This is going to be Matt's birthday dinner. PIE! No birthday cake for us. Taking him to the Never-Ending Pie Buffet. :rotfl2:

:flower1: Good morning cruisers! :flower1:

Happy Thursday!

On the door sign subject - you can use just about any program that will let you import pictures. I use Microsoft Picture It for most of mine but have also used my American Greetings Card program and also Microsoft Word. It all depends on how fancy you want to be with them.

Speaking of door signs - I better start working on ours or we won't have any. :rotfl2:

Did Mr. Scuba grab it?

Nope! I got an early morning top shared with Jim!

That would be a great idea, if I had some recollection where the paperwork is. My kitchen is such a mess right now... And no, not from cooking!

You don't need the paperwork, just her social security #. You can actually try checking the status online first. Here's the website.

http://travel.state.gov/passport/get/status/status_2567.html

If you're not satisfied with that status that the website gives you, then call the toll free # that is displayed. They'll be able to give you more up-to-date info.

My application was the only one that actually showed when it was actually mailed. The rest of them only showed the estimated date that we'd receive them. We did get all of them within a few days of that.

Hope that helps.

We're just a bit too far, but, if we were in driving distance my dd8, Maggie, would just love to help with the horses! Our backyard is just a bit too small and I think the homeowners association might have something to say... :lmao:

Today I get the pleasure of going Sharon and Lisa on their treck to Orlando for gymnastics. I'll watch Lisa for a little while at the gym and then Sharon and I get to enjoy dinner out.

Look for me on the steps of Orlando City Hall around 3:45 for a press conference for http://www.rideforsurvival.com/ ... don't take the jeep... as much as we need the rain, we DON'T need it at 3:45...

And, YES, 3:30AM IS too early to say good morning to ANYONE!!!!

What happens when you try to make the graphic bigger. I have tried increasing the graphic size in several different programs (word, printmaster, photoshop) and the graphic becomes real fuzzy looking.

That's the main problem. If you have a graphic which is small you really can't make it bigger without distorting it. It is much better and much easier to go with a very large graphic and make it smaller.

I then to use larger graphics that I know are high quality and then add the small ones in for effect.

Or you could start with a blank page and use lots of the small images to build a border or pattern.

Good morning everyone -

It's a b-u-tiful day here in NY. Yesterday was a keeper, too. Temps should be close to 80 today. Already got my shorts and t-shirt on. Lovin' it. In 5 weeks, we will be boarding the plane heading for FL. I can't believe it's only 5 more weeks.

Gotta get moving on my door signs, too. I just bought a program for scrapbooking. Do you think that will work? I'm going to try it out.

Off to enjoy this day. Vacuuming and dusting, of course.
