I think that so when he carries her on his shoulders the people can say: Look, there's Tom with a Suri on top!!

And since Tom is in a fringe group of humans that is totally over the edge whacky, does that make him have a Suri with the fringe on the bottom???

Get it? Tom would be UNDER Suri...
Nevermind....

DH came through the minor surgery just fine today. Dr. got out the piece of metal. No worries now about the airport metal detectors. He'll be back to work on Friday.

Good News!

Too funny. We were just reminising the other day about kids' books. When KT was really young we used to skip every other page of Red Fish, Blue Fish, One Fish, Two Fish because it was SOOOOOOO blasted long. I remember the day KT picked it up by herself and started to "read" it after hearing it a million times. SHe was like "HEY, I've never seen THIS page.....or THIS page.....or THIS page!!!" :lmao: :lmao:
LOL :rotfl2: The next thing you'll hear is how she can't trust you now, since you lied to her when she was younger..... :rotfl2:

yeah yeah....we just got that on saturday night and sunday morning....when she admitted that she's been skeptical of the existance of the Easter bunny (and Santa, and the tooth fairy, etc) for a couple of years now. she's been gathering evidence and was going to present it after Christmas this year.....when she told us she was planning on telling Santa ONE thing, but tell us she told Santa a DIFFERENT thing....and then she'd see what she got on Christmas morning.

And yet, she doesn't have any interest in becoming a lawyer. :confused3 We even told her she can ARGUE and get PAID for it!!! :lmao:

The newest edition of Pediascribe is up!! As before, any comments or suggestions are appreciated! (if you want to PM them to me, that's fine)

I ought to make ohiomickey come here and tout his own website instead of making me do it for him!!! :lmao:

Great news on the surgery, Sandi!!

oops, my bad, I spelled your name Sandy last time!! sorry!

Sandi - glad to hear that Larry's surgery went well!

By the way, Angie, how have you been doing? Are you totally pain-free and back to normal?

I'm still getting back to normal but feel like I'm almost there. I'm still wearing the corset when I'm out & about. I have an appt. with the surgeon in mid-May. I let him tell me how I'm really doing.

I called the toll free # last night & was told that it was mailed from Charlotte (I think) yesterday. So we should receive it in the next few days.

That would be a great idea, if I had some recollection where the paperwork is. My kitchen is such a mess right now... And no, not from cooking!

He knows about this trip; that is why we had tubes taken out now,so that ears will be healed for trip! But I will def. mention to him.She hasn't had any problems since she had her tonsils taken out last year, so we feel like she is growing out of this. Where's the smilie for crossed fingers! :genie: (make a wish?)

Prayers and PD for you and your DD. Hope all works out the way you want it. I'll keep my fingers and toes crossed.

:tink: pixiedust: for everyone.

Our dog - I prefer to call him my baby ended up on Easter Sunday in insulin shock. He was diagnosed in early Feb with diabetes. Go figure, until then I had not heard of a dog with diabetes. Thanks to Sue and her wisdom, Cody spent Easter in an emergency pet hospital till Monday morning. Sue strongly suggested that Cody go with us to visit a sister in PA for the day. Had Cody not been with us, the outlook would have much different. He was really ill. We picked him up on Monday in PA and took him to his vet. He seems to be stable right now.

The moral of the story...... if Sue suggests something, I am running with it.

The good news is that Cody has lost 23 lbs - a 1/4 of his body weight. He was 125 lbs. now 102. He is in great shape for a yellow lab.

I hope everyone is having a good day.

Not only is this how I feel but also how I look....

Poor Cody! I'm glad he's doing better. When Jim was a kid, his Lab Chipper had diabetes. His father would do his own shots and then give Chipper his. Family bonding...

Our own black Lab, Uno, is almost 14. Thankfully his weight's never been an issue (we've always been careful about it), and he now weighs around 70 pounds. But he has the canine version of MS, and it's getting harder for him to get around. My heart breaks at the thought that we may soon have to make an incredibly hard decision...

Give Cody a big, wet one from his cousin, Uno!

I have a question for all of you really computer savy people. I would like to make a few door signs, but don't know where to start. I have seen some great ideas, but when I save the image and try to reuse it, it becomes really distorted. What do I need to do?? I have photoshop but don't really know much about using it. When you are copying the image, does the file need to be copied a certain way???

PhotoShop isn't a good one for that kind of desktop publishing. It's meant more for photo work.

Do you have Microsoft Publisher? That works pretty well and is easy to use.

What are you using that distorts your files?

Speaking of dogs....Liz was.....here's my dog who thinks he's a cat:

th_CatDog.jpg

Sitting on the end table in the living room. I thought only cats climbed on the furniture. But then, all our other dogs were big, outdoor dogs...so what do I know??

This is my first time using quotes.. hope it comes out right.

Stacey, this photo is so darling. At first I really thought it was a cat.
