Hey all -- what a long day. Been gone most of the day. We went out for family bruch this morning, then Ashley had music lesson at 12:30, Dale had all-region orchestra practice across town, so DH took him. Ashley and I then went to see She's the Man w/Amanda Bynes. Cute movie. Hurt my back while I was out and now it is hard to move. Came home and watched Texas fall apart during OT to LSU. Great game Angie - congrats to all LSU fans. I guess it was too much to hope that Texas could have national champions in three sports (current baseball and football champs). ANyway, then had to drive 45 minutes to Las Cruces to go visit MIL and didn't get home till 9.

I am pooped and I didn't get all my housework done. I have to start thinking of packing tomorrow for trip to Orlando on Friday. Ashley has her confirmation trip on Friday and will get back Sunday, so I have to get her stuff put together before I leave too.

Oh well tomorrow is another day right??

:flower1: Good morning cruisers! :flower1:

Happy Sunday!

Sue - yes sorry I don't think I did post. Thank you again. I don't think Mark has gotten around to scanning them and I think in the meantime they might have gotten newer ones. We'll have to check into that. If nothing else they help us research questions.

I had to break the news on the next 10 Night Christmas cruise thread that we aren't going....I hate that. We have some good friends on that cruise that were on the 1st 10 night with our crazy group.
There's just no way I could take the kids out of school for a week, and it will probably be finals time.

Still, it's hard when you enjoy the people who are going, and like to chat with them.:guilty:

AND WHO SAYS YOU HAVE TO BRING DA KIDS ????????

WELL JUST DA BIGG KID :lmao: :rotfl2: :cool1: :rotfl:

Jay's rude to them when he answers the phone, too. I try to at least be pleasant because they way kids are these days, if you're nasty, they'll take it out on your kid.
Don't worry too much about the phone calls (when they call earlier, anyway!)...if you listen to them, they don't talk much. It's actually kind of cute.

If it was my son it would be cute but with it being my daughter it is so NOT cute!!!!

WAY TO GO GATORS!!!!!!!!!!!!

Whoa! There's another GATOR fan here? Yeah! We lived in Gainesville for two years while Jim got his Master's degree there. There's a gator flag waving outside our house, I may as well not exist during college football season (he even makes an annual pilgrimage to Gainesville for a game), and one of Erin's first outfits was a little Gator cheerleader outfit. And I know tonight he'll be screaming at the television as they battle Villanova.

Ah, fun times ahead!

I didn't make a list, but did take pictures of the newest labels to join our wine cooler. The pics can be see here. If anyone wants the details on a bottle, just let me know . Each of these was under $20, and were either rated above 90 or HIGHLY recommended by the owner of the store Jim goes to.

Does this help?[/color]

What really helps is for him to open the wines, try them, and to post his comments.

I'll see what I can do. Jim's more of a recreational wine drinker (except when he gets with his other wino friends, and they can dissect wines with the best of them), and rarely takes notes when he opens a bottle. I can say, though, that he's never been disappointed in the recommendations from this guy, but I'll sit on Jim to take notes as he opens the bottles, and I can post those as well.

I can tell you about last night's adventures, though. We went to one of favorite restaurants, called Water and Wine. Enjoyed two bottles of EXCELLENT California Cab. The first (which we've had before) was Arns (1997 - Napa), and is probably one of the finest Cabs I've ever tasted. The second, which was recommended by our waiter, was Downing Family (2001 - Napa). Also fantastic. These definitely did NOT fall into the under $20 category, but for a special occasion, I'd HIGHLY recommend them!

I'm off to take some Advil. Always a sign of a good evening!

Well, that's nice rationalization, but we all know the real reason is that you know you'd have too much to catch up on here if you were gone for 10 days!!!! ;) ;) :lmao: :lmao:

There is one in this house too. Nick LOVES the Gator's. He may even want to go to school there.

Why?

Because he likes the mascot.

Always a good reason to choose a school.....based on what their mascot is!! :)

Of course, he is an OSU fan, but he'll root for the Gators in *other* games.

He also rooted for Japan in the Olympics because he LOVES the dog "shiba inu" which originated in Japan!

Last night after the Air Force Museum day (and seeing military craft after military craft) they decided to pull out the old aircraft carrier and all of the planes and play war. Nick WANTED to be Japan....

It was like "uh...son, you ARE going to lose, you know that?" :lmao: :lmao:

WELL when theres a call for my DD I just answer the phone with a DRILL INSTRUCTOR VOICE then I ALLWAYS HAVE THEM REPEAT WHAT THEY SAY

:lmao: :rotfl2: :cool1: :cool1: :thumbsup2 :rotfl:

I LUV MY KIDS

I posted this on the 10 night Christmas/holiday thread. Would appreciate your input also.

'I have been looking at WDW resort prices for our pre cruise stay. I think we are going with the value resort, $600 less for 3 nights and 2 day park hopper than the cabins in Ft Wilderness. Mom and I want to do dinner, CP and Illuminations one night and MVMCP another. Also I hope I can get reservations for the Hoop De Do so we won't be in our room (or cabin) much at all. Any really big plusses or minuses for the value resorts?'

I've heard of folks picking horses to win or show in races based on their looks. Why wouldn't it work???? :rotfl2: It's as good as anything else......
