Julia,

Thank goodness there was an adult to help Adam. I'm glad to hear he's OK. I believe he just learned one of those "life lessons". We don't make rules to be mean; we do it to keep our children safe from harm. pixiedust:

Things like that make my blood run cold, glad there is a good ending.

Sue

Yes mine ran cold until I saw them calmly discussing it and he is so lucky he was there with a parent as his hinny would be really sore now if he wasn't!!
He did learn the lesson that accidents happen so easy which is what I always tell him.
He is so skinny that even after a warm shower he was still freezing!!

This is also my DS that fell off our boat trying to get the noodle out the water when he was 3 yrs, he had his life jacket on but a friend and I both went in after him, me fully clothed and when DH laughed at me I said they claim the jackets work but who can trust they do!!!

Yes he did and Ike the dad said that the first thing he said was 'my parents are going to kill me'!!! He also said London his daughter was right there and started screaming!!

All I can say is thank goodness he is okay - it hasn't really sunk in yet but sure I will be a wreck later!!!

Thanks, hope this weather starts warming up, now that it is spring we are having winter!!! :confused3

Just a week ago I was complaining about turning the air conditioning on - now, the house is shut but, the heat is on...It didn't even hit 60 today...

Julia, give the little guy a big hug to get him warm, then tell him if he ever does that again YOU will kill him! Kids!

Glad he's OK.

We had some light snow today for the second time in a week. No snow all winter, well maybe once, and now that it's spring...it's snowing! That's NM for you.

Thanks for the tip. September will be wonderful. But, we cannot leave the house, the pets, the work, the Mother during the height of hurricane season, we need to be here to prepare, to wait in long lines, to have no air, to see our house and landscaping destroyed. Oh well....

So are you predicting a busy hurricane season this year?

Thanks for all the good thoughts for Adam. He has gone to bed after eating a good dinner and dessert, lots of hugs too.

I think she was using it as a "letting her out early for good behavior" kinda thing. So she didn't have to finish up that two weeks. :)

Am I right, Samantha?

SOMEONE has been DIS-ing on my computer!!!!

Are you helping her post count?

Lisa is taking movies to the office tomorrow because she has most of her work done. She is going so she can have lunch with us at Pats which is on the water.

Today we took the grill and cooked tuna, shrimp, and mussels at the office. Lisa took the blender and made drinks. :thumbsup2

You got it! :thumbsup2 Now I have to go repeat over and over: "I will behave and play well with others... I will behave and play well with others... I will behave and play well with others... I will behave and play well with others... "

I use to work for a major corporation where the whole culture was that way. The only thing that matter was the stock price, what did you do for us today. The top producers lasted only 4 years. If you did not make the numbers you were gone, no questions asked.

I left about a year ago and I never looked back. It feels great being out of that environment, especially when I was drinking frozen drinks made by my daughter at my desk today. I hope our home office does not DIS.

So this evening DS came to ask me if he could go to our neighbor and I said okay, then DD came to ask and she went, she came home saying they were not there and where was Adam.
He went to friends down in the cul-de-sac and about 1/2 hour later I sent her to go get him and she went out the door and a couple of minutes later came in saying he had fallen in the river!!
I ran out the garage and there was DH with the friends dad from down the road, they were playing by the river - the Chatahoochee is far down from there house and Adam slipped and fell in. Luckily he was not hurt and they managed to get him out he was just soaked from head to toe and freezing!!
He is so lucky there was a parent there as he knows not to go to the river without a parent or I would kill him!!!!

I'm just impressed you did the right thing....posted about it. DIS makes everything better!! :lmao:

We hope not, they just seem to be getting worse, did you see the cyclone that hit Australia???

Yes, I saw that this morning. It does not look like must money damage as it hit small towns. That is good news for us in the US since it will affect reinsurance. :thumbsup2

For 9 hours of work we will buy you lunch. Will you work for that? If so, you got the job!
