Four movies you would watch over and over:

1. Return to Me
2. Shawshank Redemption
3. Sleepless in Seattle
4. Greasewebsites

I visit daily:

1. www.disboards.com
2. www.onlyolivia.com
3. www.ebay.com
4. www.

Ok, so far that's THREE for Shawshank. Wow. Gonna make me wanna watch it again. Last night we saw on the news where a moose had crashed through the front window of some guy's car and was stuck. There was his car (and a small one at that) with a 500 pound moose sticking his head out the front window flailing around. Imagine THAT 911 call!

Anyway, made me think of Tommy Boy which is another movie I could watch again and again! :)

Hmmm....I'm having to click on all of these websites I don't recognize....The onlyolivia one is interesting. Hadnt' thought about her in a long time. She has aged nicely. :) Looking up some of her newer stuff on iTunes.

Sandi - i was wondering how you guys were doing. Looks like you guys are getting hammered down there. Stay safe! At least with a Spring snow you know it won't be around too long.
My boss called and said that they've closed our little library for the day! I was not going to be able to make it in anyway. It's an 8 mile drive on country roads for us. Larry left for work; I haven't heard from him so guess he made it OK.

Seriously? (GA reference) Need to hear more about this!
I laugh every time I hear the word 'seriously' now. Until somebody pointed it out on the GA thread, I never really thought about how often they say it.

But yes, I taught Marketing and Advertising in NH. Some day I'll probably go back to it... just not right now. I got my Masters degree so that I could teach, but am having more fun (and making more $) than I would teaching, so for now, its on the back burner.

I WILL BE ON THE LIST
the doc did point out one thing I never thought about
while on the list if I'm still working and get INJURED ?????? I could miss a chance.
SO time to rethink a few things
Think, think, think... (as Pooh would say)... I'm sure you'll work it all out in your head... thanks for the update! We're praying and PD'ing for you!!!

To those of you who are snowed in... YUCK! There's nothing I hated more when I lived in the frozen tundra of New England than snow AFTER the first day of spring (which happened EVERY year.) We're looking at 86 today before the big 'cold front' moves in tomorrow, dropping us into the 70's.

The kids are off to the Y today... against their will. We left them home alone half the day yesterday... which made me realize WHY they don't stay home all day... Elizabeth thought she'd be HELPFUL and MOW THE LAWN :scared1: . She knows NOTHING about how to start or use the lawn mower... talk about an accident waiting to happen. I'm surprised that I didn't find the mower down the slope and in the pond when I got home. She asked the neighbor to show her how to start the mower... and he did... what was he thinking????

A new twist on the friendship quiz.........

Four movies you would watch over and over:

1. Shawshank Redemption

ANOTHER one! :)

We need to get DCL to show that in the Walt Disney Theater for our cruise!!! :)

With this 2nd snow day, the last day of school is set for May 23rd. That's the day we'll fly out! I think that is just report card day, though. DS was up at 6:15 even though there's no school. He's watching Ferris Bueller right now. I had a hard time coming up with my list of favorite movies; there's so many of them that I like. I almost included Shawshank...we don't own that one.

I've seen a couple of votes for Princess Bride. Another classic movie. The kids were REALLY into that about a year and a half ago. And they'd watch it in the van all the time.....that was after the wireless headphones broke so in order to watch it we had to play it over the car speakers. Over and over and over. When the movie finished, they just hit play again. :) So we got REALLY familiar with that one!! And yet, after all of that overload we still love it!

Same with us and Rocketman. DS would take that on long trips every time. I love that movie, but after listening to it 20 times, it gets old. We did buy it when it came out on DVD, though.

OK Kevin I'll splain...Hubby had his knee operated on (torn meniscus) 2 weeks ago and the last couple of nights he can't get comfortable and tosses and turns in bed and keeps me awake. That's all!!! He wishes it was something else.

But looking back at that post, I guess you could've taken that a different way. ;) Get your mind out of the gutter man!! :lmao:
Hope Augie gets to feeling better! Been there, done that! My surgery was done arthroscopicly and wasn't bad.

As I've gotten older (older, not OLD) I've liked things spicier and spicier. Must be my tastebuds going bad! :)

Thought you might be interested to know...... as you get older (not old!!), you'll find lots of other stuff "going bad" too!!! :rotfl2:

With a day off of work you'd think I'd be getting lots of stuff done around the house. But I think I'll have to watch some movies with DS... After the cruise, I'll be getting extra hours at the library. There are only 4 of us that work the desk; one is retiring, one is quiting to stay home with kids (2 babies under 2) and the third, the children's librarian, will be leaving the first of July, right in the middle of summer reading program. She's our minister's wife, so after eight years we'll be 'breaking in' a new minister at our church, too. Looks like I'll get to train 3 new people.

Hmmmm.....Maybe I'll have to look for some recipes that have green chiles in them. As I've gotten older (older, not OLD) I've liked things spicier and spicier. Must be my tastebuds going bad! :)

Think along the lines of enchiladas with yummy chopped roasted green chile instead of that tomato soup stuff we've had in other parts of the country. I'll get out my cookbook later and post a green chile sauce recipe, just in case anyone finds serrano or anaheim chile in their area.

Hello from chilly & rainy California! Wanted to check in and so far this is the earliest we've come back to the room. We're having fun, hitting the highlights but not racing around.
The cheerleaders placed first in semi-finals on Saturday and then third in the Nationals on Sunday! What a huge crowd.....and some of the CoEd varsity squads were astounding.
Hope everyone is good.....I haven't read all the pages yet.
Hang in there garRy!

By the way.... thanks to the hour and a half baggage check in line on Saturday, we missed our flight (something I'm good at) and had to wait 2 hours for the next one. Oh well, we got here!
Take care....TTFN

WOW- Congrads on the Cheer-wins! That is GREAT!!! :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:
