GREAT job on the Navigator Mary! :teeth: Is anyone planing on bringing their fish extenders? If you don't know what a fish extender is, it is a thing you hang on the fish by your room door to put messages and and little trinkets for fellow Diser's in. We used them on the DVC member cruise and they worked well :) I don't remember where we got them fron though. I know a lady was selling them on E-Bay! Mary, do you remember who it was?

Mike :earsboy:
I'll be bringing mine :thumbsup2 (holding arms out as wide as they can go). I saw a fish THIS big underwater.......

WOWIE! That is some set up!! What exactly happened when the compressor catastrophically destroyed itself? Was there an explosion? Did you have to follow the "in case of fire" arrows??

Close. It made a VERY loud bang and locked up, tripping the 100 amp breaker that was powering it. Basically, it broke literally everything inside the pump. And I have no idea why that is on the wall, that room was used for something else in the past, just like I don't know what the framework of green i-beams are for either, they're just there, not holding anything up. :crazy2:

You missed a spot!!! :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

And that's after I scrubbed the wall down with first an industrial degreaser then Pine Sol. Whatever that is on the wall, it isn't coming off. Thankfully the nice big tan cabinet of the new one will be right square in front of that. :) Kind of wish I had more time to clean the room up better and give it a fresh coat of paint.

Does this mean you have updated your cell with internet access??

Have fun!!

Morning all. BOy I feel like a dummy, I don't know any of the games you all were talking about! You all were busy last night after I went to bed. We are getting ready to move Ashley's room around and get it ready to move out the old furniture and move in the new furniture. (Yuck) Oh well, maybe I can get her to get rid of some stuff.

Have a great Sunday!

If you figure out how to do that, could you please let me know. I have two of the biggest pack rats on the face of this earth!

Well, just do what the guy who lived across the street from us did. He painted his living room but painted AROUND everything. Then he moved out and a new single mom with a premie moved in. And there was the room. Painted tan except where the entertainment center, couch, recliner and bookcase had been. In all of those places it was bright contractor paint white!

Poor thing...had a new premie. Mom herself had almost died before/during birth (she was in a coma for a week then they took the baby C-section) She came out of the coma a couple weeks later. In the meantime her parents had moved her into this new house.

Course, this poor painting neighbor was also the one who hung a ceiling fan in the living room right into the ceiling....not into any joists or whatever. So the thing fell about 8 months after this new mom moved in.

Oh the neighbor stories we could tell!!!!

We played Haunted Mansion Clue last night. That's a fun game. Anyone else have it? Too bad it's too big and bulky to pack. :(

I'm with you there, Pam!! I've heard of *some* of the games, but have no idea how to play. :confused3 Maybe you and I can play "Go Fish" - I think I remember that one!! :lmao:

Good morning, all. Been one heck of a morning here so far. Poor Erin seems to have caught that NASTY stomache bug that's been going around, and... well, let's just say I'm REALLY glad she seems to be feeling better. Ugh...

Reading last night's posts about the DHs that are, well, different than us social beings were like looking in a mirror. Jim got a really funny look on his face yesterday when I told him about finding this group, like, "Oh, geez, what is she doing now?" And when I showed him the fish extender, he totally didn't get it. (But it did think the write on board is a good idea - progress!). But I know once we get there, he'll be fine and get into it.

Erin, on the other hand, wants to know if I've found her any friends yet. What a cutie...

So enjoy your Sundays, all! I'm off to do MORE laundry!

Did OM send him a poltergeist??

Do you play by the mean rules? My sister taught my parents, my parents taught us. Not until years later did we READ the rules where you can't have more than one of the same color in a grouping....

for example, you could not have:

2 2 2 2 2

In the official rules you could not have that 2nd red "2," you'd have to start a new group.

???????????????????

COOL, an unexpected TOP with one of my favorite games and also kikiKaren, my sister, and my parents who didn't teach me the rules!! :lmao:

That wasn't me. Jim's package is still sitting by my front door waiting to be mailed tomorrow morning! :) :) :) :)

Happy Sunday All! :sunny: That is the only sun we are seeing Texas. It is still raining cats and dogs....Speaking of Dogs..

DD and I saw The Shaggy Dog movie yesterday. It is a cute light comedy. However, DD is into asking LOTS of questions. Sometimes, I just cant figure out the best way to answer. So here is an example of our conversation in the car on the way home from the movie.

DD: Why do dogs smell each others bums?
Me: That is kind of how they say introduce them selfs to each other, like a handshake
Followed by long back/forth on forms of communication other than speaking.

DD: Why did Shaggy bite the Dad's hand? (for those unfamiliar, this is how the Dad gets transformed.)
Me: He wanted the Dad to help him with the other animals in the lab
DD: What were they doing with the animals in the lab?
Me: (how to you explain performing cruel experiments) They were trying to figure out how to make a medicine so people could live longer.
DD: Medicine helps people get better. So why did Shaggy need the Dads help?
Me: (Gulp, the center of ethical question debated by many...how to explain it). Well they were mistreating the animals. They were breaking the law.

Ooh look, there is the ice cream store (quick distraction - I know chicken, but this parenting stuff is hard)

So much for light comedy.:confused3

Whew, that was a long one, sorry about that. Will try to make up for it with a few quicky posts:)
