Hi everyone, .........................................I guess I still haven't introduced us.........we're from Arizona. This will be our 3rd Disney Cruise. We were on the Magic back in '99 before there even was a Wonder. We were on a West Coast Cruise last summer with a great group of DIS'rs! :thumbsup2 My DH is Alan (official documents say John :) ), Shane is 16, and Bryce will turn 14 May 30th (Costa Maya day if I recollect properly). Mary was kind enough to add us the website a few days ago. What a cool idea :cool1:

Bye for now.
Sherry

Welcome Sherr - we are going to have a great cruise....

Spent tis morning in the garden - trying t get the weeds under control./////

Weeds = 3
Irene = 0

oh well......

Then off for a bite to eat....We did not stay at the Pub last night --too many people, not all Irish....I think the rat (on the lady's shoulder did it)

Anyway - Guiness stwe for dinner (bishop granted dispenseation for St. Ptty's Day) and half and halfs.....and Darbie O'Gill for watching...

Time for a nap now.....gardening can be hot....

Later... maybe - off to Tally tomorrow morning at 6:00 am - not taking 'puter...cause it is heavy.

Hedgie will meet her freind the parrot and we will take the sailboat out the northwest coast --- oh yes, a business meeting.... :rotfl2:

Thanks for the warm welcome! I've been looking for something like this, with people who will be on the same cruise. Last year, we went with some friends, which was fun, but this time, it'll be fun to meet new people! What's the URL for the website? I'd love to check it out! Nevermind... Just found it. Thanks!!!

Welcom, Samantha and family. My DS,10, is getting more excited as time goes by. This will be our 2nd cruise.

Hi all in my welcoming I realized I really haven't introduced myself to the new people.

My name is Mary and I'm married to Mark (aka MarkRG). We are DINKS who live in the Chicago area. We do have Bear (for his story click on his picture in the gallery). This will be our 8th Disney cruise. We've done:

3 night cruise on the Magic - October '99

7 night Eastern on the Magic - May '01

4 night on the Wonder - May '02

4 night DVC Cruise on the Wonder - February '03

7 night Western on the Magic - May '03

10 night Holiday cruise on the Magic - December '04

4 night DVC cruise on the Wonder - September '03

We started doing the buttons and DIS meets on the February '03 cruise and have done them for every cruise since then except the May '03 cruise (someone was already handling it). We love meeting new people and really enjoy cruising with fellow DISers.

I've been cruising since the mid 70's on lines that don't exist any more like Sitmar and Emerald Seas. I've also done a Royal Caribbean cruise. Mark has only sailed on DCL.

Last October Mark and I were both asked to become moderators here on the DCL forums. We were honored and both accepted the positions.

So I guess that is us in a nutshell.

Welcome to all the new cruisers. Can't way to meet everyone on board!

Welcome Sherry and family. Glad to see there are a couple of more boys for this cruise.

Greetings to everyone.

It is a chilly, windy but sunny day here in Maryland. I have been outside doing yardwork, now I am getting ready to tackle some laundry.

We've decided not to get DH a tux (buy or rent), but to just take his suit for formal/semi-formal nights; more to spend on other things that way :drinking1 . Also we went ahead and got DS a navy blazer today and will hope that he won't grow much in the next 10 weeks. I'm waiting until the last minute to buy him dress shoes, though.

I really should be doing laundry or vacuuming or dusting or something other that sitting here.

I might as well take a TOP!
I still can't believe it's only 10 weeks until we cruise. But DS brought home his report card yesterday. That means only 9 more weeks of school...

Yowza... This board moves FAST! I took a few hours to get Erin to take a nap (OK, you caught me, I took one too!), and came back to almost 3 pages of posts. Can't imagine what it'll be like when I'm at WORK for 9 hours a day!

Thanks for all the new welcomes. It's great to be here. I can feel myself getting more and more excited!

Gotta get Erin out of the shower. We're taking my parents out for dinner tonight - happy 67th birthday to my Dad!!!

I guess that is one of the reasons we haven't told the kids

NO nagging and yapping about it

And thank you to everyone else, too.....I'm excited now!

Didn't get much sleep last night. I reminded myself of the WDW commercial with the two little kids...Mom comes in and tells them to go to bed, and the little boy says "But we're too excited to sleep"!!!

And then the dog woke me up at 4:30....but I'm glad he did...needed a potty break. (HE did)
Stacy you have subliminaly planted DLR in my mind because i had a dream last night that we were there, and we rode DLR version of Big Thunder Mtn and it was AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!It was a great dream thanks!

Cruise News Deadline!

Well I was going to scrapbook today but I started thinking about the mini-navigator and what I wanted to do with it this year. One suggestion from the last time was to have the listing in both alpha order and numeric. To do that I'd have to go to a bigger sheet. Well since I was going to a bigger sheet I thought I would make the navigator bigger and better too. Here is the mock up of the front and back cover.

http://monorailgreen.info/May06/Navigator.jpg

The plan is to print this out on 11 x 17 and fold in half so it is the same size as the DCL navigator (so no longer really a mini):rotfl:

Here's where the deadline comes in. The plan is to have these printed and inserted into envelopes with the buttons and mini magnets. We will then ship these all down to Jim like we did on the 10 day cruise. That means production needs to be finished at least one week ahead of time. So the offical cut-off to be included in the navigator and for buttons will be Sunday May 7th.

Please is you are lurking and just thinking about this act now. Every cruise we have people who lurk and then pop in at the last minute and want to be included and get upset when they can't be. I don't want to leave anyone out but we have to have enough time to produce, coordinate, and ship these.

So for the next 7 weeks I will include this reminder with the weekly countdown.

Thanks to everyone who has already given their information. You need do nothing.
