Stacey,

I remember hearing on the news recently that your area hadn't had any precip in 130 days!!!

The only times I've been to AZ, temps were something like 106 - or maybe that was the "feels like"?!!!

Enjoy those big flakes - sure are pretty, aren't they? :goodvibes

I've never seen my kids jump out of bed so fast....I went to their doors and told them it was snowing, and ZOOM....they both blew past me.

Coming down hard and fast right now....starting to stick. Cool.

Get your camera!!!

Cool! A TOP with Stacey, her kids and big, fat snowflakes!!!!

It's SNOWING! If it would stick to the ground, I'd take a picture, but so far, it melts as soon as it hits. :earseek:
You can have 'all' of that snow, Stacey. We sure don't want it here. We had thunderstorms pass through around 5:00 this morning here. It's in the 60's :hippie: today and will be in the 70's tomorrow before dropping back to the 40's. Spring is just around the corner, and the cruise won't be far behind  :Pinkbounc .

Y'all want a license plate list - here's Texas' list - I never knew it was soooo long...$65 bucks for one of these...Couldn't find the personalized fees...

I was hoping that all of the nice weather today would keep people out of the library so that I could DIS at work all day. DH came home from work sick yesterday. I'm just waiting for it to hit me since DS had it last week. :sad2:

Stacey - what part of AZ are you in? I hope for your sake that it sticks. Personally, I love when it snows. But right now, I'm looking forward to Spring and getting outside without a coat on. That's one of the bad things about winter...you need all that clothing. Not like Spring/Summer when you could just walk right out of the house with no gloves, hats, scarfs, coat. This is the first year for us with the central A/C, too. Can't wait to use it. People say that once you have it, you don't go outside as much. Hmmm. We'll see.

Take a picture of the snow. You sure do get some extremes where you are. Floods, drought, heat and snow.

Monica,

I think you might be the winner!!! That's quite a list :earseek:

That "$65" goes to the various organizations??? Do you see many of them around? In Georgia, our Organization plates are only $25 additional for the organizations, which seems puny in comparison to Texas, but they are big sellers. We supported Wildlife and Dog/Cat Sterilization, hoping that's where our $$$ would go. :confused3

Stacey, you need to post some pictures of the snow. We don't you and it better not be a photoshop.

We definitely do get some extremes. Wow. My face got sunburned yesterday, and today there is snow on the ground. Wow.
I don't like that Nebraska snow, but I sure do like Arizona snow. I guess because I know in an hour it will be gone!
I can't tell for sure how much we ended up with, there is still a little falling....but maybe only an inch...
The "dog who hates rain and storms" LOVES this! He's totally fascinated. And the kids had a snowball fight. They've never seen snow. Wow.

Wow is a good word for today.

Cave Creek is north of Phoenix's northern most border by about 16 miles...just north of Scottsdale. So it's not like we're in the mountains of Flagstaff, where they DO get a lot of snow.

I told the kids if they wanted to "sled" in it, to grab some garbage can lids, but they looked at me like I was nuts.

I took a bunch of pictures....will pick one or two to post.

Matt update...he completed his creative board breaks. One was blindfolded. Pretty neat.

No, it's broken down - I think the organization only gets $10-15/per plate...

$35 is the regular registration fee - and $30 is the specialty plate fee...

The ones I see the most of is the Columbia Space Shuttle, Literacy, and University Plates. Plus the Dog/Cat ones...

There's a form for an orginization to apply for a special plate - do you think I could apply - With John's student loans, we're certainly non-profit :lmao:

Sandi, you should know by now, there's no such thing as sick days for moms...

Garbage Bags work in a pinch too - or, at least that's what we used in college when the cafeteria starting policing their missing trays... :lmao:
