I was just looking at my "Join Date". Four years. Wow. I wonder how rich I'd be if I had a nickel for every minute I've spent on the DIS in the last four years. Or a dollar for every time I got "the look".



I think the little dog is a bit peeved with me for being gone so much lately. Not to mention he hates it when it storms. He decided to not "go" outside. Cleaning up...back in a minute.

We interrupt this evening of posts to bring you an update on:


Lisa - Florida State Champion - 2nd place overall.

1st in Bars -
2nd - in Beam
2nd - in Vault
3rd - on floor

She is presently 4 in state for the all state team...Congrats Lisa.

We will have to wait until the remaining competitions to see if she makes the team.

(I sure hope I posted this correctly, if not Sharron will correct in about 3 hours.)

Actually, they did have some pink ones...which I thought was funny. But the ones that I got are official Spring Training caps. I confess, I was at the Cubs-Angels spring training game today. Until it got so windy I thought the Wicked Witch would show up. Had an offer to go down for free, in a suite, so I figured "Why not?"......was nice to take a break.

Are you within driving distance of Mesa? I have always wanted to make a spring training pilgrimage...Now, I have another reason to get out there...

Went to the rodeo tonight - BP had a suit in the sky boxes - up in the rafters of the Reliant Center - decided to forgo the fried twinkie, pizza on a stick, and the funnel cakes for the (free) in-suite food. Ribs, Sausage, and Jambalaya made it onto my plate...

Only stayed for 2 songs from tonight's entertainer after the rodeo - Pat Green - the acoustics weren't as good in the rafters...Besides, John has school tomorrow, so we didn't want to be out too late...

Hohokam is a nice little stadium for Spring Training. They had a full house today, I wasn't expecting that. But it was a nice diversion.

My grandma (Dad's mother) is buried in the cemetery just across the street, so I stopped and said hi to Grandma. It's a really pretty location.

Have to drive through quite a bit of Indian land to get there....no buildings, no trees, no plants...and then through the river bed. With the wind blowing the way it was, visibility was nil at some times.
