Congrats to Courtney and Lisa! So Sharon, when is Lisa moving up another level? I see some National travel in your future.

The family left early this morning for the dance workshop. Kevin is working there today, checking wrist tags or maybe selling merchandise. He sacrificed himself to pay for the workshop this time.

Just stopping in to say hello. My dd is getting ready for her dance competition and I have a few spare moments to go online. She is in a jazz company dance team and competes four times a year. Last competition her group got Platimum first place! Hope she does well again.

There sure has been a lot of talk about taxes going on. I'm working on my part of the taxes right now.

Sharon is a CPA. Guess who does our? Not Sharon.

We pay a CPA to do our taxes.

That's because I am not a Tax Accountant. I am a Corporate Accountant. I haven't done taxes, other than to supply data, at work or home in years. Once Jim purchased an Insurance Agency as a Sub S, I decided it would be a lot easier to just have someone who stays current on the taxes law to it for us. (That's my story and I 'm sticking to it!!!!)

Anyone here have an email address at monsanto.com?

For the past 3 or 4 days I have been getting emails with bad attachments and they're all originating from oscar.monsanto.com. They're harmless to me as I use an email program that only views in plain text, but could mess up someone else's machine.

It's purposely obscuring who the sender is.

Don't have it, but thank you for the warning. I'm trying to be a whole lot more careful now....and hoping that the new programs installed will warn me.

There have only been a very few times that I could say, "You guys were quiet last night."

Sharon will give you the gymnastics update from last night. They got in at 11:30PM and all I know is that she took First Overall again. I was asleep when she was trying to talk to me.

Time for coffee and the newspaper before they all wake up.

Yes - Lisa had her "personal best" meet this year with an all around score of 37.1 (YEA!!!). She placed 1st on the bars and vault, 2nd on the floor and 3rd on the beam. A lot of the girls from her gym and their Moms were there to see the "'Big Girls" compete (Levels 8,9. & 10) (They tended to be Level 4 & 5's). They brought signs and everything. Since Lisa has had to compete by herself much of this year, this was a nice surprise for her. I am glad she did well.

However, the first words after the meet to me weren't "Did you see how well I did?", they were "I scored well enough to earn Dad a bottle of Banfi!!". Jim is loved by his DD.

Good Morning! We had Courtney's Dance Competition last night and they did AWESOME!!! They do a great large group jazz line number to"Conga" and totally blew away all the other groups in that Category. They won Extreme Platinum (highest award possible) for their dance number, 1st Place in their category and 1st Place Highest Score in their age group (they lump ballet, lyrical, tap, jazz and hip hop into one group). The girls were so excited - screaming, jumping up and down and Courtney was picked to go up and receive one of the awards. The girls on her team (12 of them) take turns going up. THey are a great bunch of girls and have lots of fun while working so hard (they do about 6 hours a week at the studio each). Well - that's my proud mommy moment for the day! Gotta go make a nice pancake breakfast for my little dancer!

VERY cool! Way to go, Courtney!!

Jordan's cheer took first place yesterday in the group division and 2nd place in the 5-man (or woman)....which Jordan is part of the 5 man....and also the group. Regional competition.


CONGRATS TO ALL OF OUR TALENTED KIDS.....dancers, cheer, gymnastics, swimmers, singers, musicians, actors and actresses!!!! What a great group.

Well, she is changing gyms at the conclusion of this season and there will be inter-county travel 5 nights a week in her future. If states go well next weekend, she will go to Huntsville, AL to Regionals (girls from 7 Southern States). Next year as a Level 9 she would have the opportunity to go on from Regionals to the East / West Championships. Then, if and when she becomes a Level 10, it goes up to the National Championships. I will keep you posted as she progresses.

Happy Sunday everyone. Our very long day ended about midnight last night. THe jazz competition was great. Got to hear some great bands. We don't know how Dale's group did, but they sounded incredible. One of the pieces they played was "When you wish upon a star" I started getting tears in my eyes. I know, way to weepy of a mom. They really did well and I can't wait to hear how it comes out.

The Bat Mitzfah party last night was excellent. We had a really good time and I got to see some good friends that had moved away, but came back for the party. One of the girls and her mother flew in from the Netherlands, and our other really good friend drove in from Albuquerque. It was the first time all of our girls had been together in about 1 1/2 years. This group has known each other since 1st grade, some since kindergarten. It was so fun to see them all dressed up last night and having fun.

Congrats to Courtney, Lisa and Jordan on a job well done!!

I brought my Mom's camera card home and printed 130 pictures for her. They've been spread out, drying, on the dining room table. Do any of us use the dining room to eat??? Guess I could clear those off for starters.
