Beer Beer Beer (Charlie Mopps) ()

A long time ago, way back in history,
When all they had to drink was nothing but cups of tea,
Along came a man by the name of Charlie Mopps,
And he invented a wonderful drink and he made it out of hops (hops hops hops hops, etc)

Chorus:
He might have been an Admiral, a Sultan or a King
And to his praises we shall always sing.
Look what he has done for us: he's filled our hearts with cheer.
God bless Charlie Mopps, the man who invented beer beer beer tiddily beer beer beer

When beer was first invented it was very very dear,
Fancy paying a chaser for a glorious glass of beer,
People of the day were foolish so they say,
They used to chew the hops and throw the beer away.

A bushel of hops, a barrel of malt, you stir it around with a stick
The sort of lubrication to make your engine tick
40 pints of wallop a day will keep away the quacks
It's only fourpence ha'penny a pint and a shilling and tuppence in tax

Chorus:
He might have been an Admiral, a Sultan or a King
And to his praises we shall always sing.
Look what he has done for us: he's filled our hearts with cheer.
God bless Charlie Mopps, the man who invented beer beer beer tiddily beer beer beer

Here in [substitute your own locale/town] we drink beer a lot.
Down at [substitute your pub] on a Saturday night, the pace gets rather hot.
We'll drink a pint, or sometimes two, it's cool and fresh and clear:
God bless Charlie Mopps, the man who invented beer.

The purest bar, the fanciest pub, this hole in the wall as well
One thing you can be sure of, it's Charlie's beer they sell
So come on all you lucky lads, eleven o'clock she stops
Quiet for five short seconds to remember Charlie Mopps... 1, 2, 3, 4, 5

Chorus:
He might have been an Admiral, a Sultan or a King
And to his praises we shall always sing.
Look what he has done for us: he's filled our hearts with cheer.
God bless Charlie Mopps, the man who invented beer beer beer tiddily beer beer beer

You can talk about inventors of today being up to date,
Our animated pictures and our photographs so great,
But the greatest inventor of them all, to me is plain and clear,
It's Charlie Mopps the man who invented beer.

The day that Charlie died he came to Heaven's gate,
He said to old St Peter now tell me how I rate,
Saint Peter looked at him and said, "now who the Hell are you",
He said I'm Charlie Mopps, Saint Peter said straight through.

Chorus:
He might have been an Admiral,a Sultan or a King
And to his praises we shall always sing.
Look what he has done for us: he's filled our hearts with cheer.
God bless Charlie Mopps, the man who invented beer beer beer tiddily beer beer beer

We'll all miss Charlie Mopps!

Everybody's Got something to Hide, Except for Me and My Monkey:

By the Beatles

Come on come on
Come on is such a joy
Come on is such a joy
Come on take it easy
Come on take it easy
Take it easy take it easy
Everybody's got something to hide except for me and my monkey.

The deeper you go the higher you fly
The higher you fly the deeper you go
So come on come on
Come on is such a joy
Come on is such a joy
Come on make it easy
Come on make it easy.

Take it easy take it easy
Everybody's got something to hide except for me and my monkey.

Your inside is out and your outside is in
Your outside is in and your inside is out
So come on come on
Come on is such a joy
Come on is such a joy
Come on make it easy
Come on make it easy
Make it easy make it easy
Everybody's got something to hide except for me and my monkey.

Hi all. NAP from Nashville here. Anyone know what movies will be playing in Walt Disney Theater on the 5/27 cruise? My DS really enjoys that part of the trip.

We were hoping for Pirates of the Caribbean 2!
Somewhere I read you can call an 800 # to find out what is playing onboard about a week before you sail....don't know where I filed that info.
If you really want to know, you can post to the main board and you'll get the answer.

NAP, my son told me there was a pm from you.

We are Red Sox fans too! I used to be fanatical--wanted to be an accountant with them until I took an accounting class in high school....nothing against accountants (both of my parents majored in it), I just couldn't see myself "talking" to ledgers all day long!

In Nashville we visited the Parthenon, the Hermitage, the TN state museum, original Grand ol' Oprey, and Carrabbas! Yum!!

We also drove down to Shiloh. What can I say? We're an Army family so we always try to hit the battlefields.

Have a great St. Patrick's Day everyone!

HAPPY ST. PATRICKS DAY!!!

Even though my maiden name is McCawley - we're "Mac" not "Mic" but with McDonald and Kerr on my mother's side - I can still proudly claim St. Patrick's Day - although - I guess to be correct I'd be wearing orange for Protestant...

Here's my St. Patricks kareoke contribution...

Danny Boy

Oh Danny boy, the pipes, the pipes are calling
From glen to glen, and down the mountain side
The summer's gone, and all the flowers are dying
'Tis you, 'tis you must go and I must bide.
But come ye back when summer's in the meadow
Or when the valley's hushed and white with snow
'Tis I'll be here in sunshine or in shadow
Oh Danny boy, oh Danny boy, I love you so.

And if you come, when all the flowers are dying
And I am dead, as dead I well may be
You'll come and find the place where I am lying
And kneel and say an "Ave" there for me.

And I shall hear, tho' soft you tread above me
And all my dreams will warm and sweeter be
If you'll not fail to tell me that you love me
I'll simply sleep in peace until you come to me.

I'll simply sleep in peace until you come to me.

Then for the 2nd theme.... ;) (it's obvious, I know but I couldn't resist...)

Theme from the Monkees

Here we come, walkin’
Down the street.
We get the funniest looks from
Ev’ry one we meet.
Hey, hey, we’re the monkees
And people say we monkey around.
But we’re too busy singing
To put anybody down.

We go wherever we want to,
Do what we like to do
We don’t have time to get restless,
There’s always something new.
Hey, hey, we’re the monkees
And people say we monkey around.
But we’re too busy singing
To put anybody down.

We’re just tryin’ to be friendly,
Come and watch us sing and play,
We’re the young gneration,
And we’ve got something to say.

Any time, or anywhere,
Just look over your shoulder
Guess who’ll be standing there

Hey, hey, we’re the monkees
And people say we monkey around.
But we’re too busy singing
To put anybody down.

(break)

Hey, hey, we’re the monkees
And people say we monkey around.
But we’re too busy singing
To put anybody down.

We’re just tryin’ to be friendly,
Come and watch us sing and play,
We’re the young gneration,
And we’ve got something to say.

Hey, hey, we’re the monkees
Hey, hey, we’re the monkees
[repeat and fade]

Extra verse:

Hey, hey, we’re the monkees,
You never know where we’ll be found.
So you’d better get ready,
We may be comin’ to your town.

My maiden name is Driscoll....it was O'Driscoll back in the old country....County Cork. There's even a castle back there, The O'Driscoll castle. Except they have a couple extra letters in the name...O'Driscghellgh (not that, really, but close)

I was going to say that Strawberry Hill brought back memories of high school & college but it was Tickled Pink, not Strawberry Hill.

I've been checking the U.S. Passport website to see if our passports are being processed. Bruce's status finally showed up today & says that we should have it back by 04/15/2006. :) I don't know the girls SSNs so I can't check on theirs. Mine doesn't show up yet. :( But, mine was a mail-in renewal & undoubtably went to a different processing facility.

How do you post pictures?

Just so you know, under my posting rules it states that I MAY NOT post attachments...why not?

Does anyone know?

Thank you for any help!

The phone number to call for the movies can be found in the DIS DCL FAQ.

You all do read the FAQ don't you? :rotfl: BTW - the link is in my signature as well.

If you post a picture, it must be on the web somewhere first. Some folks use Photo Bucket Then just click on the little mountain icon above the posting window and insert the url for the pictures location. The boards won't let you make attachments directly from you computer for security reasons, I think.
