A rare late-night (I guess it's early morning)TOP for me. Thanks for the set-up, Stacey.

Congratulations Mark and Virgil for those milestone posts. DH has been sick the last couple of days and woke up shivering really bad. He had the electric mattress pad turned up to high and was covered to his eyeballs, while I had no covers and was roasting. I got up to fix him some hot tea and get Tylenol (and cool off). Now I've been wide awake for over an hour. It's still 60 degrees outside. We had some really strong storms pass through last night, so had the computers shut down. What an inopportune time; had to miss all of the milestones.

I guess this is a good time to boost my post count. I could probably get an 'all Sandi' page if I was really chatty, but somehow that seems really selfish not to share.

Just watching the little guy in my siggie is making me tired. Perhaps that's a sign it's time for me to go back to bed.

I have to go grocery shopping. I should head out to Wal-Mart. I bet it's not too busy right now. But on the otherhand, I wonder what kind of people show up at 4 am to do their shopping :confused3 :scratchin . I'd better not shop when I'm this tired, though. I might end up with a shopping cart full of chocolate.

I'm really impressed with all of the talented kids. Makes me feel like DS is so ORDINARY. Well, I guess he is, but that's OK with us. I don't think I could be one of you brave souls that run, run, run. We're content with our boring lives.

Well, I believe it's time for me to head back upstairs to the spare bedroom to get some more needed sleep. :faint: . All of those smilies to chose from and not one sleepy-time one.

Good morning cruisers!

Happy Sunday!

Stacey(and anyone else..) I'm finally looking at replacing my venerable Nokia 5100 phone. That's one of the older ones that is only a phone, no messaging, no camera, nada.

I know you have the Treo, but I was waiting for what I heard to be more than rumour, and it finally is. http://www.palm.com/us/products/smartphones/treo700w/?cid=crt_treo700launch

Mary and I have older PocketPC devices, neither do any kind of wireless or have a really internet capable browser.

I have a question or two that's irelevant of what OS it has.

1) How does it handle accessing the internet? Wifi, or thru Verison or Both? And if thru Verison, how do they charge for it?
2) How easy it is to read and use the keypad on the bottom?
3) How good is the phone part for quality and battery life?

I'm alternatively looking at this, as it has a 640x200 screen on the flip and a 3/4 keyboard, but I don't think it's out yet. http://www.nokiausa.com/phones/9500/ It also doesn't list what service provider's going to carry it or what OS it has. But my current PDA is 640x200 and a 3/4 keyboard so I have a small leaning towards this one.

That Trio sure looks nice. I think you better get one before Virgil does. I'm sure it won't be long be he has his.

Yesterday I received a lap top from our NY office. I'm looking at Verizon for the wireless. I'm hearing they are the best for local and national coverage.

We were amazed last night driving to dinner and the kids had the lap top in the back playing games. There were so many unsecured networks to sign up on. They were all home networks that people had not secured. Scary!

I am thinking I should go to bed soon. I am awfully tired. Keep thinking I might find some new interesting cruise fact if I stay on here long enough. Trying to get all the laundry done tonight since I won't be around too much again tomorrow. The beach towels from the pool take forever to dry.

Cruise facts here? I don't think so. Remember, we are all fluff!:rotfl:

Big day here. I made it through my son's first prom and he is home safe. Yeah.

Congratulations. I have two years to worry before that happens. He just had a military ball and that was not to bad.

Congrats to Lisa and Ashley!!!

Great JOBS!!!!!

Lauren had a dance recital Friday night - called "Choreography Showcase" where the Senior company choreographs the dances - she was in a total of six.... A couple were really cute.... My favorite - was one called - "It's hip to be square"...... I'm going to try and get the video up on my site (once my site is up), it was hilarious.... I managed to survive - even though I had to leave work early on Friday because I was sick - first time in I can't remember how long that I did that.....

Hope everybody has a great Sunday..... Back to work in the ER....

Sorry to interrupt if you were in the middle of something, will catch up in a second.

But..I talked to Vicki tonight (Garry's wife..:) ) and she said that you would have to be the same blood type as Garry to donate for him, unless you are O- (negative) which is a universal blood type. She also didn't think the blood banks would let us "earmark" blood for a specific individual.
But.....they thought that was just about the nicest thing that they had heard in a long time, and if anyone is so inclined, they would be delighted if we donated in Garry's honor.

I am a Universal Donor (0 negative) and I will donate in *GaRry's honor*. pixiedust:

WishI could. I'm a B-. If anyone is eligible to give blood even if they are not gaRry's blood type, consider it. gaRry isn't the only one out there needing blood. You could be saving lives of ppl you don't know. I'm kicking myself for taking a 15 yr hiatus for stupid reasons. And now am disappointed I can only do it one more time before they defer me for a year. :( Having worked in the surgical ICU at Children's Hospital, I definitely saw lots of blood products been needed, given, and changing babies' outcomes. :)

unexpected TOP with gaRry, Vicki, Stacey and blood donors and recipients everywhere!

Wow, Pam! That is a lot of swimming for Ashley. I used to swim mostly fly, and some back...very little breast (only when forced) and a little freestyle. I loved butterfly, I think, because it wasn't one that most were good at. Good for her! The best sport to be in, in my opinion.

Yeah, you definitely don't hear of a lot of injuries in swimming. Like these aerial skiiers who have had knee surgeries left and right and you just scratch your head and wonder why they still do it!

We were supposed to just get rain today, but since we are in what they call a "higher elevation" we got the snow instead. Which is great for us, it soaks into the ground much better than rain does...but it's almost all melted already. But the mountains all around us are covered with it, and very beautiful. Too hard to get a good shot of those, darn it.
Stacy, all I want to say is "Thank you VERY much"!!!

You sent the snow this way! Got up to get the paper this morning and its still coming down!! We could use the moisture as well!!  :woohoo:

I just added a few more pictures that I took of the mountains out back.

My camera is a Canon PowerShot Pro1. I love it. There are a lot of cameras that are much more sophisticated, but I had enough trouble learning how to use this one.
I would really love to take photography classes some day.
I think you do very well too! A lot of photography is about the composition of the shot. Telling a story with a picture. Stacey does very well with that. The technical stuff you can learn, but an eye for composition is hard to learn....
