It's competition season so many weekends are on the road. This weekend we are home. Next weekend we are in Tampa.

They put in extra hours at the gym to make sure everything is ready for competition. If she is not competing, she is at the gym practicing.

I guess it is not worst than normal.

Good Morning All....


Long day yesterday - traveled around the lake again.

I completed my workseet for Diving with Nitrox --- tomorrow is the actual class.

And, the dryer is fixed...so no more hanging clothes on the line, unless I want to. The rapair man apparently scared the wits out of the cat, so he is now a basket case - crying and crying....(yawn...not good for sleep!)

And what have you all been up too?

If you pray... can I ask that you just send a little general prayer our way? Don't want to get into a long drawn out story to explain but let's just suffice it to say that we're having some issues with my two oldest and their disabilities and yes... that's part of my moodiness lately (all over the place- stressed out worrying one minute, okay the next, not sleeping well, etc.) and we could just use a little boost of prayer please.
Another appt with son today... and conference with his principal tomorrow... hope (and pray) both go well. This is me right now >

Irene, did you get housing for that camera? Are you going to be a fish rear end picture taker too?

Well, it looks like they are starting to get some rock shrimp in May, maybe JB's has a supplier. Hoping~

Boy, I'm behind today. I was going to say something else, but I forget.

The camera is someone's 35 year ole baby - and in mint condition. It is a camera and housing all in one - designed for underwater use. I have the mount for the sport view and it is a beautiful and clear lense that sows actually what the viewfinder shows....and a light meter... and a strobe....and a 20 mm lense....and the book....and (not sure what all else yet).

I will need to learn to operate an all manual camera...Mine is semi - it can be manual and I can cheat and use the built in light meter.....

Real Cruise Question...


I need a hotel for Wednesday night close to the port. Anyone done Priceline before?

Our flight arrives at 10:30. We are staying at the Ron Jon Resort on Thursday, so we'll leave for there early. I wanted to make sure that we could see the Wonder take off on Thursday, that's why we came in on Wed. night.

I've asked on the main board, but no takers...I knew this group could help me out... IT'S AWESOME BABY! (In my best Dickie V. voice.)

Try googleing hotels and Cocoa Beach.

There is Hyatt, Best Western, Raddisson, and Days Inn, I think....

Edited to say - "nevermind"... you are looking for hotels near the Airport - try looking for some just east of Orlando off of I-4 - then you can get the car, luggage and drive out of the traffic the night before, so you can have a relaxing drive the next day.....

Hello Everyone! I "lurk" the thread pretty often. WOW...I have a hard time keeping up with everyone! You are a busy bunch! Any way...We (DHtb, Ds 10, Dd 13 (14 at cruise) and ME!) will be cruising with you in May!

Is there a teen group that is "chating"?..Did I just overlook it? My daughter is a bit bashful and I would like for her to meet others before we leave.

One other little item...why would DCL substitute Nassau for coz...rather than Grand Cayman? You guys have all the answers!

JB's is only about 20 miles from the port, as the crow flys or manatees swim.

However, by road it is about 60 minutes.

Well, I'm not Kikipug, but last time we drove up (and down) it was about an hour....

WE used the RADDISON a few times. NOT BAD also they have it where you can leave your car there for the cruise NO EXTRA COST or 2 years ago they did
THE rental car service is not at the radision anymore moved south more

Welcome Shiann! We'll be driving through Montgomery tonight & again on Mon. It definitely has "spread" over the last few years. I'm amazed how much the area around Auburn has built up too. But, that's my take on it from what I can see from the interstate.

It will be me, DH, DD-3.5, and DD-almost 6.
