Yeah, we need a Cotillion report! Jim, when you get up in the morning, take care of that, OK?

Hi dzneprincess,

I just found this thread and saw that you are sailing on the first double dip. John and I and the girls (Rachel & Tessa) are sailing on 6/24/06. Too bad we aren't on the same sailnig again. We really enjoyed your company in October 2003. I can't believe so much time has passed by aready! Hope you and all of your family are well.

Have a great cruise!

Depends on the insulation. Most fiberglass batts will stay in place for their lifetime. Cellulose tends to compact and will lose some heat holding capacity as it compacts. The biggest problem most homes have is air infiltration. Under wall plates, around doors and windows and at other penetrations in the "skin" of the home. If there is access to the attic, then an addition of 6"-8" of insulation will help. Don't forget to seal around the doors, windows and other holes....

Thx. I think we're pretty good, crack wise...
we got all new super duper argon containing, heat mirror windows a few years ago and that REALLY made a difference in the warmth factor of the house. Also a new front door (we used to stand there and FEEL the wind coming through the cracks) Now it's just the upstairs and it's gotten worse over the years. I think we have the cellulose stuff.

Will call someone. Found a good guy on Angie's list. Seems well liked and honest.

THX!

This sound suspiciously like "creme washing" to me. After all, it can't be brain washing with a cone head.......

He's not licking him. Mowana is sound asleep!

A quiz.....

When patients sign up to be seen they write their complaint on a sheet of paper that says "Why are you here today?"

Recently, these were the sign in complaints.....

1. D.Tocks

2. Pysco

It's been that kind of day........

WooWoo!!!!
Go Steelers!!!
I'm sooo excited and tired. That game drained me. By the time halftime came, I was losing my voice and totally spent. Wasn't the most exciting game, but hey, a win is a win. I'm soooo happy for Bill Cowher. He deserves this one. Now we got one for the finger. Oh yea.....

OK, I really gotta go to bed now. I can't even keep my head up straight. Cleaned up downstairs and now it's time for bed....

Can you hop on a plane and come fix our furnace??? We just had a guy here a month or so ago.....and now something else isn't working. I voted LAST time to just buy a new one.....:sad2:

WOW a T.O.P. with HH !!!
That might be the best course of action. As we all know....... things wear out when they get old!! :sad2:

HH! Are you ignoring my request? It's COLD in here! :cold: :cold:
No!! Having to wade through all the posts, eating dinner and watching the game, it took awhile. I suggest some very active snuggling for the time being. :thumbsup2

Nice!! But it will cost me that from here to NY..... :rotfl2:

I still would like to think about a Dry Tortugas Live-a-board!!

That sounds good too. I assume you have all the boats' web sites marked so it is just a matte of trying to fit it into the schedule.

Here is a short Cotillion report. I did not break rule number 1.....Don't embarrass Lisa. I did not do that so it was a huge success.

And I did not punch out the little kid that asked her to dance. Another big success.

It was a fine time. It is fun to see all the kids dressed up and acting so proper. We learned a few basic steps so when we go to the ball we won't hurt anyone. We had cookies and punch and all the dads were watching the clock.

She said I was a little loud when I yelled "are you ready for some football" in the parking lot, but hey we were in the parking lot.

Good morning cruisers!

We replaced all windows with those in the first 2 years after we moved in. The first thing that I noticed was the quiet. I knew if they were blocking the noise they were also blocking the airflow. But anything was better than having a snowbank on the inside of the windows on the west side of the house. DH was putting up drywall over lath in what's going to be our 'mud room'. We had some insulation that settled over the window and another place in the wall. We got some cans of the foam stuff to fill in. One of us read the label on the cans and one of us didn't. One of us (not me) overfilled behind the lath above the window. It looked like it was alive as it oozed out of the crack and plopped down the wall to the window sill like an army of wall walkers. What a mess for him to clean up.

Yep! :rotfl2: You gotta be careful with that stuff. It's very handy, but worse than roofing cement if you get it on you (and you will) :confused3
