Guess what! We have a 50/50 chance of SNOW today! It would only be our second snowstorm this winter. We're actually hoping for it, we've had a dry, dry winter. Of course, it's supposed to hit at the same time I will be shuttling DD to dance today, so that's not good.

Stacey, try to have a quiet, calm day today, OK? Let the kids sleep all day, maybe that will keep them out of trouble. Are you involved in the arrangements for your MIL? I'm sure you're busy.

It seems like some of us liked the idea of red and black bags with yellow stitching. You know, Mickey colors.

That was my vote but wasn't sure if it was official.

Hope you get some of the white stuff ... snow that is.

I'm here. Already talked to Megan this morning. She's pretty stiff and sore, she needed Pete to help her to the potty and such. They gave her crutches, but they're hard to use in a small apartment.
They were calling the insurance company today to make their report and then going to get things out of her car and get a rental.
At least, that's what I TOLD them they were doing!

No...Jay & I aren't handling his Mom's funeral. Jay's brother is. They hadn't made any arrangements ahead of time, so we're hoping he's making some progress.

Me Three!

I agree with the red/black to keep it in Mickey colors!

Ok, still no time to catch up! I just realized that my energy sentry is off today so I'm catching up on laundry!!! YIPPIE!!!! Here I thought I'd be saving it all until next weekend!

I will give you another detail of my trip though....
Twice Charmed....They showed it on a sea day. My dad and Mike wanted to go to the Navigator series with the Staff Captain (Cpt. Thord is coming on, Cpt. Tom was our captain but he'll be leaving soon) Anyway, they went that way. KT had NO intention of seeing Twice Charmed---she has held a grudge against Cinderella since a bad incident at the castle breakfast many years ago. Nick wanted to stay in the lab. So my mom and I went to the show at the 2:00 matinee.

All I can say is BRING BACK HERCULES! Honestly, it was NOT a good show for me. I never have to see it again (hey, cool....that frees up an evening on our May cruise!) The story line was alright. The characters were a bit annoying (some sleezy, cheesy time travelling magician complete with his own flashing marquee really annoyed me) One of the evil step sisters was the person who always played one of the Pain/Panic creatures from Hercules so everytime I saw her I imagined Pain/Panic. For some reason they had a lot of techical difficulties....some of the accent lights did not light (making the stage and scenery look bad) The microphones kept going in and out (most of Prince Charming's lines were lost during the first 1/2 of ths show) And the music wasn't catchy or, honestly, even understandable. When the whole group sang it was so loud and there were so many different parts, that you couldn't isolate even one part to follow the lyrics....just a lot of high pitched noise, IMHO. Then there were irritating things like being able to see the raggedy Cinderella go down into the stage (the smoke that was supposed to hide that stopped early and you saw Cindy's shoulders and head descend) Plus there was a time when the raggedy Cindy was replaced with a different raggedy Cindy (so the first one could change costumes, apparently) and it was completely obvious when it happened. Then there was the time when the shoe was dropped and the sound effect of breaking glass did not match the timing of the shoe hitting the ground.

All around it was very disappointing--plus I'm still missing Hercules, so that didn't help. Heard the Navigator series with the Staff Captain was REALLY good and lots of questions were answered. Did you know that they flush all grey water, the liquid part of the black water, and food waste into the ocean? All according to Coast Guard regulations they kept saying!

I'm surprised they haven't ironed out all the problems that they've had with Twice Charmed! We were I think only the second cruise to see it (must have been on the Mexican Riviera??) and they were having a lot of trouble with it then.

As for the grey water....I guess that means I won't fulfill my life-long dream of water skiing behind the ship! ;)

And.....YEA!! Does that mean we'll have Capt Thord for May?? He's my favorite. Unless they hire Capt Mogic away from Norwegian! The very thought gave me my "Pink" back!

Fishies LOVE that stuff!! :crazy2:

Stacey, his name was Captain Mogic? Sounds like a natural for the Magic to me! Maybe we should start a petition!

I'm sure we will see the new show anyway, but that's disappointing to hear. I am glad they are trying to add new shows occasionally. But I thought that Hercules didn't have it's old spark, anyway, when we saw it on the 10 day. They had a new cast, and they weren't doing all the improv stuff that made it so much fun.

Dunno....don't they do 4 month contracts? Which puts him off the ship mid-may.

I'm already bummed.....We had the BEST serving team EVER (in 7 cruises) Now, we've had good servers, and good assistant servers, but one always outshined the other....not this time....The team of Joyce and Denis were PHENOMENAL!! Denis leaves mid-April, returns mid-June. Joyce, the nerve of her, leaves MAY 27!!!

Capt. Mogic on the Magic? Hmmmm. I like the sound of that!!

Yep...Capt Mogic...and that's what I thought, he'd be PERECT!

Denis? Is it this Denis?

Nope. Not my Denis. Mine was from Romania. We were taking our wine to the table every night in glasses (which, btw, our room steward was supposed to supply us with daily but only did it once) Anyway, after Denis had a discussion with my dad about my dad's homemade wine, he told him that if we brought the wine to the table already uncorked, he would pour it for us and not charge us the $15 corkage fee! It was a lot easier to carry one bottle instead of 4 full glasses of wine to dinner! My dad even gave Denis a bottle of his homemade Wildberry Shiraz and the next day Denis told him it was gone already!!! So now my dad has promised Denis that we'd bring more back for him on the 5/27 cruise and we'd give it to John (the head server) to keep for Denis until he returned! Hmmm....maybe I should charge a delivery and handling fee!!

I'm so proud of you.

No you just need to get your own caraffe!! :rotfl:

Jim - since they are on early seating and you are late this time can't they just borrow yours? :rotfl2:

Phew... its taking wayyyy too long to catch up these days... I have been off the DIS for 24 hours, and it takes about that long to catch up now!

Stacey - Please add my condolences to those already received. Thankfully, this didn't drag on longer than it needed to. It's never easy, but watching helplessly for a long time is even worse. Glad to hear that Megan's injuries aren't serious. (Though I am sure they are still painful.)

Pam - Prayers and PD that Charley is back on his feet and everything works out to be over-exagerated from Dr. Gloom & Doom.

I totally agree with Jim's sentiment that I'll take my boring, uneventful life.

Went to a benefit concert at HardRock Live last night, so I missed 24 altogether. Didn't tape or Tivo it... I'll just have to figure it out as I go tonight... if I can stay awake that long. I taught a 5 hour class this morning that turned into a 7 hour class thanks to a scheduling nightmare... after being out til well past 1AM, it was a rough morning to be in the next county by 8AM. (on a morning that the kids got to sleep in!!!) I am soooo ready for a nap!!!

I am starting to wonder how many 24 episodes they are going to 'double up' on... chances are, they won't show a season finale on Memorial Day, so we should be all set in terms of the cruise. It's only 19 weeks away, however, there are generally some 2-hour episodes during sweeps and such.

All this talk of dining reservations and excursions makes me want to leave NOW!!!!!!!! I think we should shock the heck out of DCL, all get onto ONE dining rotation at ONE seating, and request a table of 92. That's about how many of us are on Mary & Mark's site... One long table, 92 chairs, with the winner of the day's "Pot Stirrer's Award" at the head of the table! :rotfl2:

Time to catch up on what I missed by being out of the office all day. One thing I missed was the coat of primer being applied to the walls in the hallway... unfortunately the stench lasts a whole lot longer... guess I should have stayed out ALL day!!!!

Go do a little light reading and catch of from last night's episodes. I missed Desparate Housewives and had to go read up on that one.

Ang

Oh yeah... like THAT'S 'light reading'!!!!!!!! Arrrggghh!! I think I might be better off this season just reading the recaps every week- I am stressed out enough in my life right now- maybe 24 isn't what I should be watching...

Time to catch up on DH and GA while I'm at it... but their recaps are one sentence long, not an entire page...

Trying to figure out how to program the VCR. Some stupid basketball coach agreed to Monday 6:30-7:30 basketball practice time. :teeth: Wait...that's me...By the time the kids get picked up and I get home, I'll miss the 7:00 episode. That is, unless I can figure out how to work this VCR...
