No doubt about it, Virigil is a nice guy. But than again, wait until he asks you to ship him some furniture. :lmao: (I'll let Stacey tell the story).

Good point. Or wait until he talks you into buying an iPod, and within a year you end up with FOUR!!! Thx, Virgil!

i dont know if i told you all or not but my work hours have changed for the past 4 years i ahve worked 7am to 4pm and this past weeek i have been forced to chagne my hours to 10a to 7pm.....for good :-( i am not adjusting well and my internal clock is all screwed up but i just wanted to let you all know why i havent been around as much plus i have been trying to exercise

Amanda, sorry to hear about your new schedule. I work 7-4 and can't imagine having to switch to 10-7. What's it doing to your family life??? It would totally screw mine up as the girls go to school for 7:20 a.m., we have dinner at 6:00 p.m. and they are going to bed by 8:00 p.m.

That, Dear Maria, is the power of this thread. I've seen things like this happen repeatedly.

I learned that pretty early on. OHMinnie came through for me with the Mickey back's for my pins, Amanda bought goodies for my girls on her Sept. cruise & so many of you sent me cards & goodies after my surgery. I feel the love... :grouphug: :lovestruc

Good morning Cruisers!

We sail in 16 weeks!

Woo Hoo - another week closer to cruising! We are now at Sweet Sixteen!

And it had BETTER not be raining as hard as it is today... I think the Disney Magic could pull right up to my front door this morning! (Now wouldn't THAT be convenient... no lugging wine and such...)

Thank you, again, Virgil. Just wanted to let you know that I really appreciate it and I will tell everyone where and who got me my shirt.

GO STEELERS!!!!

And I must make a confession... I told Virgil I would send him something... and didn't do it!!!! Virgil... someone stole my copy off my desk, but I just found out where there are some more... so on Monday, I WILL send it to you, a month late. :guilty: (Wish I could make this 'guilty' smiley bigger...)

Good morning all.

I'm sooo excited we're at the sweet sixteen mark. It won't be long now. Wait til I tell the kids. Time to pull off another link on our vacation chain. It has gotten considerably smaller since we started it. I think it was at something like 54 weeks. It used to go around 3/4 of the woodwork around the window. Now, it's just a string of rings hanging from a bookshelf.

Weather is OK today. Weatherman says rain this afternoon. Earlier in the week it was supposed to snow tomorrow, but that is off the forecast. Darn!! Nothing like watching the Superbowl with friends, fireplace going and snowing outside. Life doesn't get any better.

Gotta go now. Little man has basketball at 11:30 and a lot of cooking to do.

Which reminds ME....Stacey, I SWEAR your package will go out early next week. Sorry! ;)
p.s. Virgil, any luck on copying Harry?

OK, this morning when I was up at 3:00am and reading your recipes there was NO WAY I was getting out my chili recipe. But, now that I'm functioning, here goes:

1 pkg cut/sliced mushrooms
2 to 2 1/2 lbs. of 85% or better ground beef
3 cans of "Hunts" "roasted garlic spaghetti sauce 26.5 oz cans
3 tbls of minced garlic
2 cans of red/pink kidney beans - drained from all the juices
1 pkg of "Old El Paso" chili seasoning mix
1 tbls of pepper
2 tbls of onion powder or sliced onions

cook the ground beef well and then drain any fat.

In a crock pot(or slow cooker, haha), mix the ground beef, mushrooms, chili seasoning, onion powder, pepper, kidney beans and garlic with 2 1/2 cans of the spaghetti sauce. Simmer on low for at least 2-3 hours. Stir every half hour. You might need to add the other half of the sauce if it gets to thick. Enjoy!!!

My DH loves this chili. Got the recipe from a neighbor.

GO STEELERS!!!

Mushrooms in chili. Don't think I've ever had it that way. The recipe sounds yummy though!!

You could nix the mushrooms. I don't put too much. Like you said, some people don't like them. Come to think of it, last time I didn't put them in.

This always happens. I gotta go but I'm having a hard time pulling away from these boards.

Everyone have a good Saturday.
