I was an absolute insomniac when I was a kid, but I finally outgrew it. I've lost my knack for staying up late without good reason... most nights, by 10:30 or so I've had it... that really only applies at home though... when I'm on the road for work, or on vacation, I'll stay up til God-knows-when, as long as there's something good going on.

Ha, am I good, or what? Yes, I've also noticed that I tend to go to bed earlier as I get older. And I've reverted to naps some days. It's so nice that my office is close to my bed.

In other news yesterday, Kevin and Jim - Sam has now signed us up for Nitrox classes.....I am not sure if there is a pool dive as well, - sunburn still very tender, so the prospoect of pulling on gear is not appealing....

Time for coffee and to catch up on yesterday's posts....
Great, that will help with his dive profile as well as the surface interval time.

Is he advanced open water certified?

Time to brave the frigid winter weather - temps are supposed to be in the 40's (ok - maybe 52) but that means I must find the sweater today.

Take care...... insert Turkey smilie here.....

Wow....that's chilly. We hit 82° yesterday, but it is supposed to be cooler today....maybe only 76°. I thought Florida was supposed to be a warm place?! ;) ;)

Mary...I loved that poem...will have to print it out and take it with us tomorrow, the guys will get a laugh out of it.
Stop it with the BIGGER! I saw a story on TV about a 600+ pound woman the other night.....makes me feel like Twiggy. Perspective, that's all it is!

Diana....I go to Amazon for "research" too! It really does help.

I haven't been to Costco in ages, the crowds are awful no matter when we go.

Have a full day at work, and then it's my turn to drive the girls to the gym again. Going to hit Target while they are practicing, because, like Sue....I won't go back until next week some time. No BLACK FRIDAY for me!

Got the gifts all boxed up for out of state shipping last night....yet another line I refuse to stand in.
In fact, there are only a couple of lines that I DO tolerate...barely....lines for attractions at WDW and DL....and lines to get on and off a cruise ship!! :sunny:

TTYL Have a GREAT day!!! Maybe I'll check in with the Treo from work!

Ok, I'm off. Leaving for Cleveland in the snow...Yuck.
Leaving sick Mike behind. :(
I'd stay home except great-nephew is supposed to come (and he is moving to Alabama soon so I won't see him for awhile) and we must get pictures of the kids with the REAL Santa at my parent's mall. If not for those two things, I'd stay home in a heart beat. :(

I hated naps as a kid (didn't we all), but perfected the 'art of napping' in college... General Hospital ended at 4, and dinner wasn't til 5:30... perfect 90 minute nap every day. I wish I could get those now! (Maybe I need to move MY bed closer to my office... its 20 miles from here...) As much as I LOVE watching racing on Sundays, I miss everything from about lap 30 to lap 180 almost every week.

Speaking of naps ... I just got up from one! I know I shouldn't be napping but I didn't sleep well last night. I hope I can sleep tonight. I'm sure I will. I'm in the category of people that LOVES to nap.

I'm probably late ... but safe travels to all of you who are traveling. As you all know, we're staying put. My mom & dad are still here. I have a turkey ordered from Popeye's. It just has to be put in the oven for 2 hours tomorrow. My parents are making rice dressing (think dirty rice) with oysters ... YUMMY!!! They'll also make green beans & sweet potatoes - not together, of course. I guess I'm going to have to watch my dad making the rice dressing so that SOME day I'll know how to make it.

Hope everyone has a great TURKEY DAY!!! And I hope everyone has at least one thing to be thankful for. I know I have a lot.

What a zoo it was at work today! It's like everyone just realized tomorrow is a holiday....

Yep... just made my annual cranberry-orange-raisin bread stuffing, pumpkin pie, and brownies. Ray will do the rest tomorrow, and the guys will deep fry the turkey. We've only got the 4 of us, plus Ray's dad, and a family friend. Some years our house is like the UN... everyone from everywhere... this year its just a few of us turkeys...

Safe travels to anyone who hasn't gotten where they're going yet! Angie- don't try to do to much tomorrow! Hope Jim & Sharon are having a wonderful anniversary trip!

Sounds good, Kiki....

I'll do my cooking and baking tomorrow. We'll head over to Phil's at about 1:00, so I should have plenty of time. We're taking Bill (our employee and the guy who watched the kids while we cruised) with us, he doesn't have any family here.
Ruthie didn't sound too thrilled when I called to tell her, but she'll get over it. I wasn't going to leave him to sit home alone all day.

I am working on Friday. My choice. Still not done with my invoices, it was just too crazy busy today. I'd have to go out that day anyway, to get my tire fixed.

Jordan is going to Palm Springs this weekend with Amber. Lucky girl....wish I were, such a pretty place.

Happy Turkey Day from Mickey too!

Kiki, that stuffing sounds delicious! I don't know what kind of stuffing we are eating tomorrow, we are only responsible for yams and cranberry jello mold.

Have a great Thanksgiving dear friends!

Good morning cruisers!

Well said Mary - thank you. Good morning all....Last night I worked too late for a Holiday Eve, so today I must get busy with house preparation and cooking for the big day!

Doesn't the DisBoard look nice, all decorated for Christmas holidays.

Well, let me see what you all were up to since yesterday morning.

Later.... :wave2:

HAVE A GREAT THANKSGIVING DAY.

'Twas the night of Thanksgiving, but I just couldn't sleep. I tried counting backwards, I tried counting sheep.

The turkey beckoned -- the dark meat and white, but I fought the temptation with all of my might.

Tossing and turning with anticipation, the thought of a snack became infatuation.

So, I raced to the kitchen, flung open the door and gazed at the fridge, full of goodies galore.

I gobbled up turkey and buttered potatoes, pickles and carrots, beans and tomatoes.

I felt myself swelling so plump and so round, till all of a sudden, I rose off the ground.

I crashed through the ceiling, floating into the sky with a mouthful of pudding and a handful of pie.

But, I managed to yell as I soared past the trees "Happy eating to all - Pass the cranberries, please!"

May your stuffing be tasty, May your turkey be plump; May your potatoes 'n gravy have nary a lump;

May your yams be delicious, May your pies take the prize; May your Thanksgiving dinner stay off of your thighs!

Happy Thanksgiving!

Great poem and bumping it up to the Thanksgiving Page.

Do they have a countdown clock till turkey? We are planning to eat at 4:00...(ish)...
