Good Morning All - I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving! Jeanne and I are counting our blessings, 2 of my 3 sisters were here, with their families, for dinner yesterday. Today we go to my other sister's house. Dinner was good and we had a fun time. Off to take care of my neighbors dog. Talk to you later.

TURKEY SANDWICH DAY!!!!!

I may like turkey sandwiches better than turkey and stuffing....

We had a wonderful dinner - Sam's turkey was grilled to moist perfection. :cloud9:

It was still cool - so we had a fire on the patio and then watched Finding Nemo. (Mother's choice of the DVD collection).

Perhaps we shall try a wee bit of shopping, if she feels up to it...

We won't be doing anything on the May cruise that will require an advanced certification (although both Matt and Alicia are advanced certified too).

..........

If you want to learn a bit more before the class, check out this link Take the class, it's not hard and when you get past the hardcore info, it's just gas you breath the same way you would air!! You just have to plan your dive, AND dive your plan!!

Now, back to the regularly scheduled program.......

Thanks for the heads up - class has been moved up to tonight - so the website will be kept for review.....As long as I don't have to memoraize the formula's - I'll do fine with tables.

I liked the little turkey, too. Makes me almost not want to eat any. That's ALMOST!

HAH - cute little guy - din't eat him, ate his older brother.

Anybody else watching the parade?? Just saw ::MickeyMo and ::MinnieMo !!!

We saw the parade and Mickey and Minnie - how did they get off the ship for a day??????

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

We had a little scary news last night. My youngest brother got a ride to El Paso from Phoenix and arrived last night. My oldest brother flew to Austin to be with my parents. Anyway at 9:30 last night they called and said my dad was in the hospital. Wasn't sure what was wrong, but dad knew he needed to get to a doctor. He has gotten really good at knowing when he needs to be checked out. They called this morning, that they are keeping him again tonight, ends up he has a bleeding ulcer. They did the encoscopy?? and I believe were able to carterize the ulcer. My brother said that right after they did that this morning, he was in a great deal of pain

My aunt had her surgery and although the surgery went well, they have determined that this cancer is much more aggressive then they had originally thought. THey are now giving her less than a year to survive.

Anyway, we are going to celebrate today and give thanks for everything we have.

Pam - prayers for your Dad and Aunt. I hope that you can keep their spirits up with an extra special Christmas - this year...

Thanks Virgil... Hopefully I can talk to him later this evening. He was in too much pain when my brother called earlier. Something about filling him up with nitrogen?? Not really sure

I am not Virgil, but I have heard that certain abdominal operations do fill the patient up with gas in order to provide better examination "room". I have also heard that these types of "gas pains" are very painful as the gas works it way out of your system. Perhaps once the MD explains why he is feeling what he is feeling, he willbe able to get a better handle on the pain....

I know you wish you were with him...

Good morning cruisers!

Hope everyone had a good turkey day. We spent the day with family and had a great time. I do think however that my FIL gave me his cold as I now have a very sore throat. Yuck!
No shopping for me. I'm staying home and cleaning house. We'll start decorating tomorrow.
Pam - continued prayers for you and your family. When it rains it pours.

Good morning all!

Pam, continued prayers for you & your family members!

I'm actually doing phone support for work from home today. Most of our customers are closed so it'll be a light day. I figured I'd volunteer and get for a full day of work when I'm not really doing anything.

We have lots of turkey leftovers. My dad put a whole breast in the freezer already. I guess we'll pick on the other parts today and maybe I'll turn whatever is left in to turkey & smoked sausage gumbo tomorrow.

We'll be watching the LSU/Arkansas game this afternoon. If LSU wins, they'll be headed to the SEC Championship game next weekend against UGA.

VERY clever!!

Sacrifice for the company!!

I'm going to work too!! I find I can get more done on "off days" like these than normal days. Phones don't ring as much.

A TOP pirate: to start the day!!

Your brother probably had an endoscopy where a special endoscope is placed through the mouth down into the stomach, the doctor can look at the stomach, find the ulcer, and cauterize the ulcer which stops the bleeding. Many times air is pushed through the scope to clear secreations which limit visualization, so that may contribute to pain as well as the ulcer itself which can be painful. Hope he is doing better now. Alex

I tried the same thing, volunteer for what should be a quiet day, but no such luck. It's busier than expected though not overwhelming. Hope everyone has a great black Friday. Alex

I'm laughing at all of us with our response to the "gas in the belly". Too funny. And not one of us is the REAL doctor.

Going in to the office now, too, for a "quiet day".

Whew. I'm home...and exhausted!! My neice, new dh and the baby made it up for Thanksgiving, so it was nice to see him. Of course dad is a real goofball (very immature) but at least the baby looks no worse for wear because of it...yet.

Snowed like crazy up there. Took me over 4 hours to make the 2 1/2 hour trip and one after another there were cars off the road and in ditches! Slow down, ppl!! Took me about 1 1/2 hours to shovel my dad's driveway....I kept thinking "at any minute he's going to get the tractor with the plow" but he never did!! Kids enjoyed playing out in the snow for hours. Good thing they did because we got hom an hour ago and all of our snow is GONE!

Wasn't planning on going out for Black Friday but saw in the Best Buy ad that 24 DVDs were going to be on sale ($20 instead of the normal $49-$57!) So I talked my brother into going in....picked him up at 4:30 am and we got to Best Buy at 4:50. Of course, the line was LOOOONNNGGGG (the ppl in the front had been there since 10pm the night before and had a tent!!) Of course, 24 wasn't the reason they were all going so I was able to snag all three seasons, plus an extra season 1 for a gift. Then to Toys R Us because Nick suddenly changed what he was going to ask Santa for!! So figured since he wasn't around, I'd pick up the new stuff. Santa has ALWAYS come through for them (they only ask for ONE thing a year, so I figure Santa can provide ONE thing!) :)

Now I'm home and exhausted b/c of getting up so early. Time to unpack and veg. :)

Hope everyone's Thanksgiving was wonderful!

Hi everyone. It sure has been crazy the last few days. I did get out this morning at 6:00 to do some shopping. I had planned on being out at 5, but we got callled at midnight last night that my dad had to go back in for an emergency procedure. He was still bleeding and had thrown up several times. His blood count got dangerously low and had to have 3 transfusions and the surgeon came back in to do another procedure. This one was a little more aggressive then the first. HOpefully that one has worked. he is still in ICU and is feeling better today. My brother who is there said it got pretty scary last night because they went "code blue" Not exactly how severe that is, only have heard of "Code Red". Anyway, they are checking his blood counts every two hours to make sure he is okay. I am flying down on Tuesday for business anyway, so at least I will be there then.

Hi, all! Hope y'all had a GREAT Thanksgiving! We sure did. Daughter Rachel is home from UGA (Go DAWGS!!! Sorry, Angie!!). She's been working on an important paper so my computer's been tied up!!

Scoopie arrived safely this afternoon! Tori will be excited to see him when she gets home Sunday!

Pam, prayers for your Dad and Aunt.

Pam.....wow, your Dad is really going through a mess! Poor guy! I'll keep my prayers going. Now, get some rest!

No Black Friday for me. Someone would have to pay me an awful lot of money to go out in those crowds.
You'd also have to pay me a LOT of money to drive in the snow, and shovel!! Actually, I did that last January at Mom's. I guess I'd do that for her.

Went in to the office, it was pretty quiet. We had a few people come in. But I got all my invoices done, and that's a huge relief.
Jay is rewarding us with dinner at our favorite Chinese restaurant. Yea!
Just us and Jared, Jordan is in Palm Springs with her friend Amber (the one that's always here).

Tomorrow I'll be lounging in the morning....then I'll toss the laundry in and finish up the Christmas cards.

Jared and I were watching footage of people being trampled as they tried to get into the stores this morning. I'm sorry, that's just insanity!
