Yeah, we have that too....Sea Safe or Safe Sea. I can never remember. That stuff is THICK. Goes on like Desitin. We only use it on the area under our bathing suits and only during baby jellyfish season. Apparently they are worse in the Spring (if I remember correctly)

We got it before the Mexican Riviera cruise, when I'd read that one of the ports was overwhelmed by jellyfish...we didn't have a problem. And we swam with quite a few of them in St John last month, no problem.

I also read an article not too long ago about a guy who's been a lifeguard in Californian his whole life...he said his favorite sunscreen was made by Neutragena.

And then, there's always the old standby that we used as lifeguards....Zinc Oxide. We all had white noses all summer long.

SIX WEEKS! Wow...the time has FLOWN by....for us, anyway!! Good luck at the doc's.

The secret to my shopping success?? The internet! Almost everything I got, except the baby toys, were online.
I got Jordan the cutest bear....dress in a cheerleader outfit in her school colors. And I bought iron-on letters for her high school. CSHS. Still need to iron them on before I can wrap it. That was from the site that the coaches use, Cheer Zone.
The best part about ordering online is that it arrives in boxes that I can use later to ship stuff to the out of town relatives. No more buying boxes, or haunting the grocery store back rooms!

Yes, the stuff is called Safe Sea and is used for the treatment of Sea Lice (slang name) the thimble jellyfish larvae.

Good Morning Irene - My ex has very fair skin and we never went near a beach in the 15 years we were married. Since we split up I have been beaching or at a pool ever since.

Sue

That's me, Sue. I've got the redhead skin, actually we all do. I have always been super careful with DD, it's getting harder now that she is a teen and I don't always know where she is. I have to count on Kevin to monitor her when they go diving, a scary thought. I can't imagine snorkeling all day! For me, it's a little snorkeling, then a lot of shade.

Amen. We've done more than 75% of our Christmas shopping onilne for the last several years. UPS is a daily thing around here this time of year. Besides, with the kids with me all the time, I don't get a lot of time to browse the stores and buy things without them around. Yesterday I did buy Nick and KT pj's for Christmas. KT knows, she was there. But I figured she wouldn't go blabbing the BIG NEWS to Nick that he's getting pjs!! :)

NICE, Love ya too!! :teeth:

All this talk of Christmas shopping is making me crazy!!!! I am usually almost done by now, but I haven't even started!!! (Well... we all know the 'big' gift is bought... but they need something to actually OPEN for Christmas!!!) I did just get 100 pesos to add to the 'treasure chest'... still trying to figure out how I'm going to pull the whole thing together. I ordered personalized T-shirts from Disneydirect, but they are giving me a hard time about the wording on them... and I'm not backing down- I'll cancel the order before I'll let my kids wear shirts that are grammatically incorrect just because their trademark includes "LINE" and not just Disney Cruise.

We had the same problem on the 10 day Xmas cruise.... Had to compromise to something like - Smaltz family Christmas vacation - Disney Cruise Line 2004... They would not budge with leaving out the Line...

Came home to try to get the kids' things wrapped before they get home. Once I get on a roll, I just can't stop.

Anyway, I saw the most amazing thing! I was coming down through the creek, and a bobcat ran across in front of me. It stopped just next to where I stopped the car. And it didn't run away. Now, I'm cursing myself for not having the camera, because it just laid there, making a noise...half "meow", half growl.
I asked it if it was a boy or a girl, and asked if it was the evil one who ate my baby birds...but of course it didn't answer.
Then...it got up and walked behind my car! I couldn't believe it. I looked to the other side to see where it was going and that's when I heard more cat noises. I happened to look up. There was a tree right next to the car....and in the tree were two baby bobcats!! So now I know it was a "she"...and why it didn't run away. Amazing. Something that is rarely seen....and me with no camera. Nuts.

I ordered t-shirts from DisneyDirect last year, too...and they called me because they needed to change the wording.....

Cool story!!!!

Same thing happened to me about 3 weeks ago on the way home from piano. Well...not bobcats....but a BALD EAGLE! I saw a "big bird" and as it got closer I noticed it's white tail and head. The thing was huge and getting bigger as it swooped lower. I stopped the car as we watched....and it swooped down about 20 feet in front of the car and picked up a live squirrel that was in the grass. Picked the thing up as it fought and then carried it away.

TOO COOL!! They are such majestic birds especially when not trapped in a cage in the zoo!

We have a 'resident' bald eagle that likes to fish in the pond behind our house... he is HUGE!!!! I have seen him twice so far, and the neighbor said he's a regular in our watering hole... if only he'd go after some of the little yip-yip dogs in our neighborhood!!!

I would LOVE to see that! We have Harris Hawks, and Turkey Buzzards...and lots of owls...but I don't think I have ever seen a bald eagle. I think if I did, I'd have to sing the National Anthem.

We have to go outside with the Grandpuppy, for fear one of those big birds WILL haul him off! But he isn't yappy...honest.

Well, I made it with 15 minutes to spare. Kids stuff all wrapped, and pictures for Christmas cards printed. Whew. I have a couple of small things to still wrap when they arrive...waiting for my last couple of online orders to come in.
Then on to the worst part, addressing the Christmas cards. One of these days I'm going to get really lazy, and print labels. But that would involve inputting everyone's address into the computer. Seems like that would take more time than just writing them...but I'd only have to do it once. Hmmm :scratchin

Okay....HELP! Maybe the guys can help with this one.....we have a client who always gets us a gift for Christmas. We help him sell a LOT of his art work, making him rather wealthy. I have always given him something in return, which now I realize was probably bad form, since his gift was a "thank you"....but anyway, two years ago he didn't care for the gift I gave him, and last year I got him a Swarovski ornament only to have him tell me he's Jewish...(who knew?).....SOOOO....what should I get him this year??

a box of Matzoh crackers ;)

I can't top the bald eagle or bobcat stories but there was an 8-point buck in your yard Sat. morning.
