Virgil... I didn't forget about you... I just haven't gotten to the post office this week... ... its been one of those weeks...

Kiki, have you heard about Click n' Ship? It's my favorite new thing. You can print your postage labels, and pay for them, on-line. Then you just put it out for the postman to pick up, or drop it off at the PO. No more lines! I'm trying to figure out the International post thing, so I don't have to go the PO for that either.

Our office does NOT get mail deliveries... everything goes to the PO box... soooooo much stuff gets lost in the mail because it never makes it to us- it's so incredibly frustrating!! I don't know why we can't get mail delivery like normal companies... we are on the busiest road in the entire county. Apparently, we 'choose' not to receive mail at the plant when the building was built in '99... no idea why.

And my mailbox at home is 4 houses down, with nowhere to put outgoing packages...

Well I finally caught up with all the posts. I have been absent this week due to the Boston trip (which was fine, just wish I could leave the hotel) and getting ready for this trip.

We leave tomorrow at 9 am so I can make to dive with Capt Tony. I guess I should finish packing since Sharon is ready to go. Of course it is Friday night so she is at the gym. Nothing comes before gymnastics!
Check in when you get on board and let me know how the viz was off Boynton Beach!! Ken and I have four dives planned with Capt. Tony on Wednesday before the Key Largo extravaganza!!

Have Fun!!!

Not a problem.... 2006 is still a little ways off and she's using a 2005 version...

It won't be bad with the kids because you will never see them...at least we never see Matt unless food is involved.

A top for me with Kikipug and no kids on cruises!! :cool1:

Jordan and I saw a lot of him!

We only have post office boxes here in Cave Creek, so I go through that frustration all the time. Just this week I had to call about two different items that I ordered, but they never got to me. :headache:

Jim & Sharon, have a great cruise, and a wonderful anniversary!!

We DO expect a trip report when you get home!

I finished up my Christmas shopping today...got a late start, and got back home just in time to pick up the kids. We have Amber again this weekend. They'll have Jordan the first weekend in December when Jay, Jared and I go to Las Vegas. Jordan was supposed to go, but they have another competition that weekend. I hate missing it, she and Amber are going to be part of the tumbling group.

Anyway, I took Jared to the eye doctor to pick up his spare glasses and told the nurse I needed to make an appointment, I've been getting headaches lately, and can't be on the computer for very long  . She was about to set me up for next Wednesday, when the doctor came out and said he had time right then. Saves me almost a week in getting the new glasses! But he dilated my eyes, and I hate that. It takes hours for them to get back to normal. I had to have Jared drive me home, once we got off the main roads.
He'll be the first to tell you that it's two years, seven months, and 5 days until he gets his license. Jordan has it counted down to mere days now. She gets her license in May. She doesn't want either one of my cars, nooooo.....she wants something outrageously expensive like a Cadillac Escalade. HA! Fat chance of that. Grandpa's '89 Ford Pickup is more likely.

An Old Farmer's Advice:

* Your fences need to be horse-high, pig-tight and bull-strong.

* Keep skunks and bankers and lawyers at a distance.

* Life is simpler when you plow around the stump.

* A bumble bee is considerably faster than a John Deere tractor.

* Words that soak into your ears are whispered...not yelled.

* Meanness don't jes' happen overnight.

* Forgive your enemies. It messes up their heads.

* Do not corner something that you know is meaner than you.

* It don't take a very big person to carry a grudge.

* You cannot unsay a cruel word.

* Every path has a few puddles.

* When you wallow with pigs, expect to get dirty.

* The best sermons are lived, not preached.

* Most of the stuff people worry about ain't never gonna happen anyway.

* Don't judge folks by their relatives.

* Remember that silence is sometimes the best answer.

* Live a good, honorable life. Then when you get older and think back, you'll enjoy it a second time.

* Don't interfere with somethin' that ain't botherin' you none.

* Timing has a lot to do with the outcome of a rain dance.

* If you find yourself in a hole, the first thing to do is stop diggin'.

* Sometimes you get, and sometimes you get got.

* The biggest troublemaker you'll probably ever have to deal with, watches you from the mirror every mornin'.

* Always drink upstream from the herd.

* Good judgment comes from experience, and a lotta that comes from bad judgment.

* Lettin' the cat outta the bag is a whole lot easier than puttin' it back in.

* If you get to thinkin' you're a person of some influence, try orderin' somebody else's dog around.

* Live simply. Love generously. Care deeply. Speak kindly. Leave the rest to God.

My OWN dog won't even listen to me...

Hello - We are back - the cat is sprung from the vet, the tears are wiped from our eyes, the luggage is out of the car, the dive gear is drying, and we are full of a magical week of memories.

I'll post more as I get my feet back on the ground.

Hope Jim and Sharon are ok with TS Gamma....

But for right now, HI!...

Later......Irene and Sam...

Welcome back!! :wave2:

Can't wait to hear the trip and the dive report!!

Hi Irene, welcome back! Sounds like fun, except for the crying part. Was that from picking up the cat, or getting off the ship?

I would give you a synopsis of what has happened this week, but the only momentous things that comes to mind right away is that Angie has been getting out and about more, and the Scubas have left for their cruise. Pam has an ill family member, but I wouldn't call that momentous.

We aren't making a lot of progress to 20,000, but now that you're back, maybe we can!

OM, do you think an hour ahead is early enough to get to the theatre? We are going to the noon showing of HP tomorrow, thinking to get there by 11. It's probably a sold out show, since they were only pre-selling a few of them.

WOW - we are really, really here - again.......I could not wait to get to the ship - so we arrived early (yawn) - about 9:00,

Note to self: 9:00 is too early.
PS - to self, not when Sharon will be there.

Anyway - some mix up with the car lanes, - they made us drop Sam off with luggage instead of driving through, then wondered why I wanted to park a car with no spouse and no luggage (terror alert anyone).

So, we were behind a busload goaing through security. The Castaway Cay line was shorter so we stood.

THEY GAVE US A CARD THAT SAID #2 ON IT. We were in the first 50 I'd say.

Sam had mistakenly checked a carryon -with no tag, no name - and a great cast member agreed to retreive it.

Note to self: Send Big Thank you - it had the champagne in it - not packed as a check-in.

Finally, the lines were beginning to move - later this time, around 11:00. We went and sat, no one was crowding in the lines. Our Disgroup had neon green wrist bands, so we occupied ourselves looking for those we had not met at the meet the night before at the Rad.

I heard someone say they had a card with "7" on it before they announced all aboard at noonish.

THUMBS UP FOR THE NEW BOARDING PROCEDURE.... Group 1 was announced and very shortly after group 1 and 2 were called. No waiting, no standing,,,,just present the ID to the first cast member, the Key to the second and then -
WELCOME ABOARD,

THUMBS UP FOR THE NEW RESERVATION PROCEDURE....All ressies were made on line, so no rushing around....time for the buffet - and a spa tour of the new facilities.

NEW FITNESS CENTER IS HUGE -- OK, I am not a fan of the gym, but if you were - there was lots more room, lots more machines, and it seems, that there are even more courses you could sign up for, if you wanted. The new verandah rooms for single and couple massages are fantanstic - they are enormous. One or 2 beds for treatments, a real bed for lounging, a hot tub, a tea station. All over the sea..... Even if you do not (as we did not) take this treatment, it is worth the time to take the spa tour, just to see this new offering.......

Our room was one of the first to open up. (I booked the same cabin as on the 4 day -- ) We had a Navigator's Varendah. No luggage, but we dropped off the carryons and proceeded to investigate the ship.

You will have to ask me about the dry dock changes, 'cause I may forget....

(skip boring stuff - unpacking etc....room service for the cheese platterw ith champagne, meet the new room steward...Neat guy).

Time for the show ---- Variety theame.
Dinner was a Lumiere's (sp?). We had LAPLAPL.

Tablemates were neat - We did not book with the Diser's - seemed too complicated. We had an table of 6 - all adults - 2 guys from Chicago and 2 gals from Canada - we made a good mix......

Hum, where was I --- after dinner.....oh, yes, TS GAMMA started to show up in her (its) early version and the ship started rocking, and rocking and rocking, and that was all she wrote for me.

You'll need to convince Sam to post to find out what else happened that night.

More later, will try to catch up on some posts I missed....while doing laundry (blah).

I haven't even checked the boards all day today. Just found out today that the ports on our 11/21 cruise have changed. No Coz. They have added Belize and Roatan. Now have to change all our excursions which include diving. Which I had a lap top so I could do it from Boston next week. Oh well.

The good news is Rock Shrimp tomorrow afternoon!!!

Starting here with my catch - up posts.

THE ROCK SHRIMP IS GREAT. I CAN'T WAIT TO GO BACK. SAM ENJOYED IT SO MUCH, WE SHALL HAVE TO PLAN A DIVE TRIP BEFORE THE MAY CRUISE.

OK - This is unfair as the Scuba's are traveling....but we had a great mini-meet and enjoyed the food as well. I had bluebrabs....Wish I had had the rock shrimp, but that is what May is for......
