Maria, did y'all have snow? How about anyone else? I saw that Buffalo, NY had a whole lot yesterday.

Congrats on saving the $200!

Ang

Angie, first let me say that I'm soooo excited that you're gettting around and feeling better. Don't try to be a hero, take those drugs, girl.

No, WE didn't get snow yet. Feels like it though. I am just about 1 hour North of NYC. We are going to my SIL's for Thanksgiving in Syracuse and for the past 2 years, we've gotten snow. You know what that means, bringing ALL the kids snowsuits and boots. Extra luggage. Oh boy....Buffalo got between 6-13" of snow. School closed and everything. Man down the hatches.

We're now on our 2nd day in a row of cloudy weather :guilty: ... and I passed Scuba driving Sharon's car yesterday afternoon... does that mean that the Jeep brings rain and the Bug brings clouds???

Hey Jim... are your driving habits messing with our weather again???

I keep forgetting to post this. I watched "Myth Busters" the other night and they did a segment on sea sickness remedies. The only "natural" remedy that they found to work was ginger.

Ang

I drink a lot of ginger ale on the ship....partly for "prevention" and partly because they don't have PEPSI.

I was just waiting for one of you guys to "flame" me. Yes, it's true, SOME guys get excited about saving money. Very few though. Doesn't seem that I have one of them. He's excited, don't get me wrong, but nothing gets a woman excited more than finding a great sale. Right girls? Sometimes, now I said sometimes, it's better than sex. :rotfl2: Wooo wooo!!!

TTFN,
Maria

:earseek: :rolleyes1 ::yes:: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

No, was being kind and getting the window tinting fixed. Besides, Lisa will make sure you know that it is "Little Gymnast's" Beetle. Mom is just allowed to drive it until she can at 16 (4 1/2 years from now).

Yes. Who do I call? U of M? "uhhh....hello, I bought scalped tickets on ebay...." ;)
You could.....

But I think Jim as had you labeled as an "enemy of the state" :rotfl2:

You might not get the response you'd like! :confused3

Does DCL offer ginger-ale at the drink station? Can you get it in the dining rooms? Seems like a good thing for a cruise ship to stock, IMHO.
Drink all that ginger ale and then spend the cruise in the bathroom :earseek:

That wasn't a flame!! Just thought it was funny! Of course you saw what my DW said in response.

Question; When there is a sale, don't you SPEND money???

Call me stupid, but does ginger-ale have anything to do with ginger?

My DH would agree with you on that one. He's always making fun of my mom. She'll spend $20 just to save $1.

Oh yeah... Elizabeth is counting down the days, too... we're down to 4 years, 3 months, and I forget how many days... she tells me pretty regularly. (But there's no car waiting for her.... I drive a company car, so she'll never get mine...)

Mike is already counting down - 4 years 11 months, etc...which is precisely why I bought a stick shift - he's not going to be able to drive my car...even more devious is that by the time he's 16 he probably won't fit ...he's already 5'2"

In a celebratory note, one of the members of our theatre company just got the co-lead in "The Light in the Piazza" on Broadway, playing the daughter! She's going into rehearsal next week! Might have to have a theatre company road trip for her opening weekend...That would be cool - I've never been to NYC - and to experience Broadway with theatre people - that would be so cool!

Ok, back from the Harry Potter movie....I've got 15 minutes until I have to pack KT's bags for the trip north, throw dinner on the table, and go to ballet class for 2 hours. I am beat!

Movie was good. I liked it much better than Prisoner of Azkaban, personally. They, of course, left a LOT out of the movie, but it didn't seem so disjointed as POA did. The dark scenes were a bit intense, but my kids handled it well. Actually, I think reading the book out loud lessened the fear factor b/c the book was pretty descriptive.

If you're going this weekend I'd suggest getting there early. Even a 1:00 show on a Friday afternoon was 95% full! An awful lot of kids in the theater....either a lot of homeschoolers or they were playing hooky!! The place was jammed when we left and I noticed HP running in at least 3 other theaters!

Must run....

Ok, after following Horace's links on the main page around a lot, this is the most reasonable info page out there, but be warned it is still hype, the dates posted there are probably VERY optimistic, and they are doing their best to gloss over how bad the damage really is.

http://www.cozumelmycozumel.com//Pages/CozumelWilmaComeBack.htm

and on tours, including Chakanaab:

http://www.cozumelmycozumel.com//Pages/CozumelWilmaTours.htm

I'm going hunting next week for some trip reports from people who were there instead of promotional sites.

Thankfully, this time DCL is hanging back and waiting for honest concrete info instead of hype before making any firm decisions of when to go back. They went back way too early after the hurricane hit Grand Cayman the last time and the cruisers had a totally horrible time and were very vocal about it.

P.S. Mr. Scuba. We are allowed to say the dreaded M word once "Beat Michigan" week starts. :)

I'm glad you clarified that rule. I would hate to think you are breaking some law!

I'm diving Saturday afternoon so I won't be able to hear the game. I hope you enjoy it.

I'll keep that in mind as we pass through Gamma or what ever the current TS is called. We should go through it on Monday night as it leaves Key West. Of course it is to early to tell and frankly, we don't care. We will be on the cruise ship without kids. :cool1:

I was wondering who was giving me that one finger wave! Had to get Sharon's tinted windows fixed.

The Jeep has been in the garage. It's been to cold to drive it.
