I am SOOOO excited. I can't believe we're going to FL unexpectedly. This will take some "favors" if you get my drift? My wifely duties...:rolleyes1 It's worth it. :rotfl2:
OMG!! :earseek: Take Maria to Disney World and you get "favors"!!

Now that would be a Tag Fairy moment.........

That's interesting about the generators....I definitely wouldn't want to store any gas in the garage...but if Jay could hook it up to the propane tank, that would be pretty cool for a back-up system! Our house and hot water are propane-heated. But I don't allow Jay to weld on gas pipes any more.....insurance or not, he's still worth more to me alive than dead!

Tell Alicia to cover her eyes!!

Maria, very cool about your surprise "quickie" trip! (maybe I shouldn't say quickie!)

Had the follow-up with the cardiologist today......Jared is perfectly healthy. He said that he doesn't think the dizziness is so much related to Jared's growth spurts...just that some people just don't pump the blood up from their legs fast enough after they've been sitting, and that Jared may or may not have the problem forever. There is a pill he could have given Jared, but we're just going to stick with the salt tablets and pushing lots of water.
It is sooooo wonderful to know that Jared is fine, and that he'll be safe playing baseball and soccer. Just have to make sure he always has lots of water. I asked about Gatorade, and the doctor said the electrolytes in Gatorade are great, and it would be okay for Jared to drink it for now, but that as he gets older, he may not want to, because of the added calories in it. I look at this bone-skinny kid and have trouble believing that he could ever get fat!

Waiting for Jordan to call for a ride. (Doesn't it seem like that's all I do??) Tonight's Homecoming activity was "Mr. Cactus Shadows High School". Some kind of contest...and somehow or another, I never get all the details, MTV is involved in this. The parking lot was crammed when I dropped her off!

So far, our cruise still hasn't been changed or cancelled. The Coral Princess that should have been in Port Everglades on Thursday will sail out of Miami. They're still saying that the airport and the port will be open by Friday.......but they are adding info periodically....so that could change.
All I know is that I AM going SOMEWHERE. Not sure where.....

I feel like Sandi did earlier....jabbering away to myself.....

I guess everyone probably knows this, but Alicia does lots of dancing. In fact, last night she performed in her first school show, on pointe. Or is that, en pointe? She did good too. But there was no tutu.

Good news about both kids, Stacey! Now you can be worry-free on your cruise. Well, somewhat worry-free, they ARE teenagers.

Maria, your last minute trip sounds fun and relaxing. We have been in Orlando in December a couple of times, and it can be VERY cold. I think that's a bit unusual, but it wouldn't hurt to take your jackets and some jeans. You'll need them when you get home if nothing else, right?

I love it Stacey, mucho points for the cuteness!

Cute pictures of the penguins, Alicia. Nick LOVES penguins. March of the Penguins was NOT a good movie for him....too much penguin death! :(

Why do ballet terms all have to be in french?? I'm music mom in KT's class and the teacher will call out a move and I'm looking at the CD wishing it was in ENGLISH!! She says "pa-da-sha" and all I can find is "pass duh chat." ;)

Which brings us back to Maria's comment:

Yup....just found out my almost 17 yr old nephew decided to have a party while his parents were in Daytona Beach for a few days. The first clue when they got home was that the trash was at the curb and the boys NEVER take the trash to the curb without the threat of bodily harm!!! Full of beer cans! Lots of damage to the landscaping, lots of things stolen (iPods, DVDs, money, paint ball stuff, etc) and lots of alcohol gone. DN #2 told DN #1 that it was a BAD BAD IDEA to have a party and locked himself in his room.

Needless to say, DN #1 is doing hard time....and for his birthday he got a CARD (which he was VERY miffed about!) My sister just had several trees cut down so they could add a 3 car detached garage....and DN #1 gets to move wood from one side of the yard to the other. Knowing my sister, when he's done, she'll make him move it back!

My sister was the problem child in our house, but she was MUCH better at hiding the evidence of her parties!! ;)

Oops, Stacey, this story probably wasn't helpful right now, was it? :duck:

Jordan will spend the majority of her time at her friend's house....so that it's easier to get to cheer practice, the Homecoming dance and their first competition. Not worried about her much, the other Mom is a prison guard. Not literally.....

And I think Jared and Bill will come home and crash in front of the TV after their nightly dinner at Dairy Queen. Nope, I don't care what they eat when I'm gone....not my problem.

OHMINNIE! Where is your mind??? Mr. Boss person/husband is worth more because he's still working! (okay, I know you'll make something of THAT, too!) :teeth:

My middle brother (the troubled middle child) had a party once when my parents were out of town. He told me that I could "come" to the party, if I didn't tell mom and dad and I helped clean up.

Well.....oldest brother showed up right after the party....he took me upstairs and (I kid you not) shined a bright lamp in my face and demanded the details of the party!
Both Mark & I were "moving woodpiles" for a loooong time after that!
