Had the follow-up with the cardiologist today......Jared is perfectly healthy. He said that he doesn't think the dizziness is so much related to Jared's growth spurts...just that some people just don't pump the blood up from their legs fast enough after they've been sitting, and that Jared may or may not have the problem forever. There is a pill he could have given Jared, but we're just going to stick with the salt tablets and pushing lots of water.
It is sooooo wonderful to know that Jared is fine, and that he'll be safe playing baseball and soccer. Just have to make sure he always has lots of water. I asked about Gatorade, and the doctor said the electrolytes in Gatorade are great, and it would be okay for Jared to drink it for now, but that as he gets older, he may not want to, because of the added calories in it. I look at this bone-skinny kid and have trouble believing that he could ever get fat!

Glad Jared is fine!!!

o.k. life can get back to it's normal hectic routine - now that the World Series is over...they were great, frustrating, exciting games!!!

I think I'm turnning into a fuddy-duddy mom, the commercials on FOX during the games really disturbed me while we were watching the games with the kids...Most were violent and/or sexual overtones...not exactly something I appreciated watching with the kids...I know, target audience..blah...blah...I was an ad major --- I think if there's a "E" rating on the show - the commericals should also be rated "E"

Hope Chicago is enjoying the celebration - the White Sox deserve it, they played well! (Can't believe I'm actually saying that....)

Speaking of iPods, I got the new one last night from FedEx. Alicia opened it and was sweet enough to set it up and download all my music before I got home (what a nice kid!! )

Anyway, I think this thing is going to be just the ticket for trips and the downloading of pictures!!

Yes, I did say "take the camera", and he said "why?" Turns out, he was right. You can't take pictures during the performance of course. And immediately after the curtain call, she ran backstage to change into her jeans. She didn't know that the kids at this school stay out front to greet family and friends. A younger girl from her studio was there, and we had to fight our way through all the people out front to track her down backstage. She was changed and ready to go. One thing about all these dance performances, she has learned to change really, really fast. Hasn't helped in the mornings, though.

OK...my hubby says that he could use a break from all this construction and hard work. Yeah for me. We really weren't going to go on a big vacation this year because of the construction, but I think he's really getting burnt out.

We were thinking about coming down to the Sunshine State for a little R&R. Anybody going to be around the Orlando area the first week of December(3rd-10th?). We were thinking about staying at our Marriott timeshare. We would love to have a mini-meet with whoever is around at that time.

There's a huge DisMeet scheduled at JellyRolls on 12/2. I know many of the DISers will be down there late Nov/early Dec. TLinden16(Karen) has a thread on the DisMeets board you should check out. I know some of them - what a great group!! I would have loved to be there, but we're going to WDW 12/17.

Hey Laura, we will be there from Dec. 17 - Dec. 23. We will be at OKW. Where are you staying?

Loved the beds, but the location isn't as nice as Old Key West or Beach Club Villas!

Kevin -- I actually like the location better than OKW, but not as much as BCV. We loved our room last summer when it looked out over Pleasure Island. I thought it was a perfect location.
