Yuck, Maria....I'm glad I don't live in New York, either! Brrrrr....
Hope you got rid of your bug!

All packed...glad I did it now. I figure the clothes will be wrinkled no matter what.

At least I won't feel like I had just put them IN the suitcase, while I'm taking them out.
And I won't feel rushed or pressured at work.....Jay will like that.
What I might do is not take all 6 bottles of Pepsi. I can fit three of them in the carry on. If I drink other stuff (margaritas!) I can get by with a half a Pepsi a day. I think.
Maybe I can buy a can or two in St Thomas or St Martin.

I'M NOT OBSESSED WITH MY PEPSI ......MUCH......

GOOD MORNING , WILMA!!!!

This will probably be the ONLY time I'll get the first post of the morning! (But I beat Scuba and Irene!!!

I am NOT looking forward to my 24 mile ride to work this morning...:boat: :boat: :boat:

Congratulations!!!

It is raining pretty hard which made getting out of bed tough. It's so nice to just lay in bed and listen to the rain, especially when the wind is not blowing (yet).

The kids have a light day today. They get to do some cleaning, finish up homework, and clean up from Lisa's science project. We (I) finished it last night. Just one more science project to go!!

Good morning cruisers!

Happy Monday!

Angie - you still have a long road ahead of you. Just take it one day and one step at a time. Focus on the future (like the cruise). Here's to getting better every day! Know that we are here for you!

Stacey - there was a small grocery store in the Havensight Mall. That's where we bought the candy canes at Christmas. I'm sure they will have Pepsi for you!

To all in the path of Wilma - stay safe!

Good morning all!

Too all of you in FL, stay safe and try to stay dry!

Today is another day. Thanks to all for the words of encouragement. Yesterday was a pretty good day. I was able to sit on the patio and watch the girls run in the yard and play on the swingset. The weather was beautiful - nice, brisk fall weather. My parents are leaving on Wed. and are thinking of driving up toward TN to see if they can see any of the fall leaves. Ours haven't started to change yet. MIL will be coming in on Wed.

Stacey, when are you leaving on your cruise? Have fun! Hope you can find some Pepsi. Although I don't like Pepsi, I completely understand ... if the tables were turned, I'd be the one trying to figure out how to get my Coke!

Angie

Good Morning, Everyone!

Angie, Hang in there - bet it felt good just to get out of the house for a bit!

To all of you in Wilma's path - stay safe and check in to let us know how you are if/when you can!

Here in Lake Mary we have lots of rain and wind, most like a bad thunderstorm. Wilma moved more south which is sparing central Florida from the worst of Wilma. Alex

Hope everyone's doing ok in FL. The blessing is how fast moving it is. The worst of hurricane damage is when it moves slow, like Katrina did to the Gulf Coast or what I'm afraid we are going to hear about Mexico. In Fl there should be some wind damage, downed power lines, trees down and such, but I'm hoping nothing worse than that.

I think you just anwered your own question. There are reasonably good stores at both docks, you should have no problem getting more on the way.

No post from Irene this morning, she must be hunkering down. :umbrella:

Stay safe and dry, Florida friends!

Stacey, I know there are several duty free shops in the dock area at St. Martin.
I wonder how Coke managed to get a monopoly on cruise ships.

Good question! I just think that Coke is more popular....even though I'm not as fond of it.
My parents found extra Pepsi in one or two of the ports on the Mexican Riviera...so I'm certain Jay and I can find some.
Thanks, everyone...I know it sounds silly....I should just kick the soda habit altogether!

Angie...we leave here to go to Las Vegas Friday morning. They're having a dinner for us Friday night, and then we all leave as a group sometime late Friday night (or rather, Saturday morning). The ship sails Saturday afternoon. The Caribbean Princess. I'll get a preview of the Movies Under the Stars!

BTW...what is DCL calling their new big screen?

Coke pay$ dearly to be the only brand choice on a cruise ship (and in restaurants, etc...) We run into it all the time with our business... by state law, alcohol beverage manufacturers cannot 'pay off' a retailer to be exclusive (so we can't do stuff like that)... if Pepsi had come forth with the larger check (and more freebies), they would be on the ship instead of Coke...
