Hey Double Scoop Group!!!

I'm home ... still on serious pain killers but I'm finally home! I won't go back & read through all of the posts ... my head is too foggy!!!

Thanks for all of the well wishes while in the hospital! You made me feel very special and touched my heart! How could people I've never met before make me feel so loved???

I finally had to come clean about DIS'ing to DH after all of this. Glad he knows now though. Amanda, thanks for calling to check on me. Bruce came to the hospital and said some girl named Amanada (diznepricess) called to check on you ... who is that?

Then the Dr. Mickey came in the mail ... thanks so much from all of you ... looks like KikiKaren cooridinated that one. Although I didn't get him until I came home today. Ashley slept with him each night & wouldn't give him up. Irene, thanks for the card from everyone & the Tinkerbell pin. This all surely did cheer me up. And thanks to whomever in FL that sent the girls Halloween cards & stickers... couldn't figure out from the postmark who it would be.

Irene, Fran, and all else in FL, stay safe. I've been keeping an eye in Wilma.

Please continue to pray for my recovery. It was definitely a long survery. The dr. said that he could have straightened my 100% but I would have been left w/ one leg shorter than the other. He put a 15% curve back in and I look so much straighter than I was.

I'm sure my posted will be limited in the next few days/weeks. Just wanted to let you know that I'm home.

So no buzz on the thread about the 2007 rates?? Can you say CR-AAA-ZEE??? I think,sadly, 2006 will my last year on DCL for a while. I am thinking of trying Freedom of the Seas in 2007.......Unless I come across a great deal for DCL......

HAve fun - we cancelled......But - we booked V/A in January instead....I recall some sage advice about the cost of Festival of the Senses tickets compared..etc - etc.....

V/A is great, but than I have heard great things about Senses. Next year I want to try Senses. It sounds like a great event.

2007 Alaska for us. Probably will be HAL or RCCL. Since the kids are older they don't need the kids program.

We are also running into "Been there....Done that" which is why we are going to a horse ranch in GA for Christmas.

We have not started to look at 2007 yet. Still trying to get our diving booked for December, Dog Days in November, Boston in November, RSSC in November, Ranch in December....I think you get the point.

They are already talking about cancelling school on Friday. Not because of the winds, but they need the day before in order to open shelters. They will make that call Thursday morning depending on when it turns.

The kids will enjoy their days since Sharon and I are both in Orlando.

Now it is terribly unfair for everyone to run away....what do I have to look forward to -- had to cancel WDW this weekend..no good diving....next trip in a borrow pit - hey they call it a lake, but I know it is a borrow pit, geez.....

Spent the day on the phone with the roofers......this has been a battle since last year....I am remembering Kiki's comment on mis-matched shingles,,,,we will tak any color shingles at this poitn... ok - maybe NOT dis green - but you know......

Disgreen shingles - should have saved that one for a TOP!

We're still waiting to see what "special" cruise DCL has planned for 2007. Don't know that we'll go again unless one of two things happens: DCL has something really great....or all of our DIS friends decide to book together again.
Otherwise, we may go with another line also. We'll be "testing the waters" with these next two cruises, to see how we like them. It isn't the kids that would miss Disney, it's more likely to bother Jay (and then me). He's the one who would only do the Mexican Riviera because it was on the Magic!!

I've already booked us for the Hyatt at the Orlando airport for the night before the Double Scoop. Since we will arrive after 4 pm, I thought it would just be easier to stay put until morning.

Forgot to tell you earlier....Jordan didn't make the vote for Homecoming Princess. She doesn't seem bothered at all, and I'm actually relieved. I hated the thought of missing that, since we'd be cruising.
