I'm really impressed with the excitement of meeting at JB's before the cruise for Rock Shrimp. I think it's a great idea......

However, I want to make sure everyone is aware that JB's is 70 miles, 75 minutes from PC. From MCO it is probably 1 hr 30 minutes. From Vero Beach it is probably 2 hours.

Part of JB's charm is that it is out of the way. That is both good and bad.

Make sure you consider the distance when making your plans.

Kikipug, do you agree?

Definitely... but I'll be there anyway. :rotfl:
(Oh... you meant its far from everyone ELSE!!!) Well, if they can't make it, it will be a very mini-meet!! I know that by that point, there will be absolutely NOTHING to eat in my house, so we've gotta eat somewhere- might as well be JB's.

Well, we were going to use our tent to sleep in the parking lot of PC, but I guess you could use it here for Friday night. :rotfl:

We are out of here and on our way to WDW.

Matt called last night and made PS at Allstar Cafe for today's game. I'm so happy my son can remember to call the bar for a reservation when he can't turn in his homework.

Yachtsman & FW should make it a "full" weekend. :cool1:

At least we know the house will be safe. Molly stays outside guarding the front while we are gone. :dog2:

32 more weeks...I can't wait. My vacation chain gets smaller and smaller. Oh yeah!!!

Everyone have a great day. For the first time in over a week, it is NOT raining here. I was starting to get webs between my toes for crying out loud.

Make it a good one people.

Well, stuck here in No Man's Land, losing my connection, freezing, gathering firewood, and SOoooo ready to go home! Hopefully can catch up tonight. TTYL

Hey everybody. I have been pretty absent this week. It has been a very busy week at work, after work with the kids, etc. I had two meeting this week at night and Ashley's first band concert, plus swim practice and extra band practices this week after school. They had their first competition last week and won almost every category. We have another band competition today, and then the big one next Saturday. Ashley had her first swim meet of the new season last weekend, and did remarkably well, considering she just aged up to a new age group. She improved on all of her times and even placed.

Well, gotta get going to get ready to go up to the high school and help the kids get ready. Have fun everyone.

Hurry back we miss you :goodvibes

Yesterday, NASA announced it's possible flight window for Discovery...It's May 3-23, 2006 launch window...We'll miss the launch but, maybe we'll be around for touch down... :cool1:

Stacey, stay warm! Can't believe you're roughing it!!!

TiggerinNY, we've got your rain. It's pouring buckets here. About two seconds of that, and the streets start to flood. We are not used to rain, and the ground is hard.

Kevin comes home tonight, yeah! I think I will celebrate by letting him go get Alicia after she goes to a friend's play across town.

Scubas, have a fun weekend!

Hey Jim... sounds like a money making proposition if you ask me! Let's see... how many DIS'ers, times... what's the holiday weekend rate for a mod?...

We're home!! I thought I was going to go blind, reading that tiny little screen. But, hey....it worked!! At least I had a bit of civilization!

Amazing what a difference in surroundings there can be in just a couple of hours. It's like being in two different worlds.......

Guess I should go unpack. Back later....

:flower: Good morning cruisers! :flower:

Happy Sunday!

Quiet night on the thread last night. Everyone must either be at WDW enjoying F&W or else otherwise enjoying a beautiful Fall evening. Oh - or at a wedding they didn't want to be at. :)

Funny thing is.....we had a WONDERFUL time. It's usually like that, we fret doing something, but when it actually happens, it's wonderful! The wedding itself was beautiful. The weather was perfect (a tad chilly for a little girl in a sleeveless dress) The reception was great. Food was decent. Dancing was fun. The bride and groom looked like they were having the time of their lives.

The only thing I would have changed is I'd have taken some tennis shoes. Apparently, we had to clean up the hall at the end---get rid of all trash, clear tables, take down decorations, load vans, etc.....and my feet were killng me!

KT was BEAUTIFUL. Apparently she went to the spa that morning (she was up "before the stars were gone.") They did her hair, make up, nails, etc. They spent FOUR hours there! WHich may explain why between wedding and reception she was weepy....she was so tired, hungry, her feet hurt, her tiara was diggin into her head, her up-do hurt (40 bobby pins came out last night once we got home!!!) Once I changed her into tennis shoes, took out her tiara, and got her some food, her attitude changed and she was a PARTY ANIMAL!!!

Uploading a picture of KT...

KT with the bride (by this time her make up had been cried off) ;)
