But you know, I LIKE it! It really seems to make being in the laundry room a whole lot more enjoyable....soothing....

The kids hate it. Oh well.

Venting over.

Thanks for the pink tour. Amanda - Best wishes for the successful choice....HP books - yes, we must read. Picked up another scuba and two DH's posting on our November cruise. And we are planning a wine tasting as well...Plus we have one with a latin sign tab. What has the Double Dip thread started??? Picking up another scuba sounds fine, but TWO DH's :earseek: ?????? sounds like trouble to me!! :earseek:

I should at least get brownie points for removing the old wall paper and painting it all by myself! Gotta love those paint fumes! :cloud9:

Good morning everyone. I am certain I have made the right decision, as once we made it last night, I felt at peace, and slept really well last night, unlike the night b4. Now to call the job selector and let her know, b4 5pm or she will automatically place in the job! Eek!

:flower1: Good morning cruisers! :flower1:

Happy Friday!

I'm off today but since my internal alarm clock went off at 5 am as usual I'm up! :) Mark is working a half day and then we head up to Milwaukee. Taking the laptop so I should be able to check in tomorrow morning. Have a great day!

What does this mean? Matt is going on our cruise, right?

Yes, Matt is going on our cruise. He is hoping that Mike goes because it will be a Cat 1 - 3 and Matt wants to order from Palo's again.

Ah, good to know. Not sure the kids will let me slow down much. Guess it's good, except for my sore throat from reading out loud so much! :)
We got the last 2 books on tape/cd from the library. I read them all aloud until book 5. It was way too daunting to see that thick book and know I had to read it all. From about chapter 5 on we listened to it on tape. Same with book six. I made it to chapter 8, then the library got it in on tape. Much nicer that way, plus there were a few names that I was mis-pronouncing. The reader does such an excellent job on all of the different voices.

Good morning all!

Amanda, glad things worked out for you.

Stacey, that's one bold pink. I agree with the Pepto Bismol.

Mary, have a great weekend!

Well, we haven't even made it through one week of school and Emily got sick! She threw up during a tornado drill yesterday morning. I went get her. By yesterday afternoon she had a fever. Now this morning I'm thinking I need to call the dr. I'm wondering if it could be strep. When Ashley was sick a few weeks ago, the dr. did a strep test since she was thowing up. Sometimes I probably read too much in to illnesses but I'd rather be safe. Her throat is swollen. It's a good thing that I'm able to telecommute. She's old enough that she understands that I need to work and she can't bother me every 2 seconds.

Amanda, so glad that you are at peace with your decision. I'm sure you won't regret it.

Okay...hope this doesn't ruin anyone's appetite....Piglet Pink!

th_PigletPink001.jpg

Yes, that's definitely P-P-P-Piglet Pink!!!!

Elizabeth's room was that color in our old house in NH... with fuschia wall to wall carpeting... (never let a 2-year old pick out paint and carpet colors)... but she LOVED it!!!

You bet!

One thing I've learned being in the biz; paint can take on a entirely dfifferent look on the wall versus the swatch! :rolleyes1

I agree about the guy reading the books. He does an excellent job!!

Good Morning Everyone!!!

It's Friday!!!

Mary, have fun at Irish Fest!

Busy weekend for me - Started the 2nd weekend of Pilates Instructor Training. Saturday night going right from the studio to the Texans Football Game. Sunday , right from the studio to the Chicago/Earth,Wind and Fire Concert :cool1:

Have to laugh at the decorating topic...I am absolutely no good at decorating. I "decorate" very well with clutter. Our walls are industrial builder's off-white with grey fingerprint smudges as our "chair rail" :rotfl2: Our bedroom walls are a cafe au lait type color - I do like that - the idea was to frame a bunch of black and white photos that John had taken during our year and a half in Canada - Walls are still bare...

Here's my Kareoke entry for today, continuing the decorating theme...

"Paint" by Skillet

I]We take a walk in the garden
We share the fruits of life
We live beneath this canopy
Why did we take that bite?
We cover up our shame
We walk in black and white
We turn this ground for hunger
Why did we take that bite?
Paint me with an endless sunrise, Paint me
Paint me open eyes, Paint me with the color of love
You took a walk on the planet
You gave us shade and light
You create mood and substance
How can I can take a bite?
Paint me with an endless sunrise, Paint me
Paint me open eyes, Paint me with the color of love
Paint me, mark me up,
In these frail, dot-to-dot lines
Color me from one red stream
From which all others flow
Take my black and white and yellow
Brown and pink and pain and sorrow
Take my black and white and yellow
Brown and pink and hate and sorrow
Paint me with an endless sunrise, Paint me
Paint me open eyes, Paint me with the color of love
