Wow, incredibly busy day. School in the morning. Then piano. Then running around. Figures that the ONE size dance shoe that KT needs is out of stock. They are shipping it from the other store, but I'm not driving 40 minutes to pick them up!! I'll get them when I'm in the area next!! Cram your feet into your old shoes, KT!

Then auditions....both kids....for a musical rendition of Scrooge. Nick is being considered for Tiny Tim. KT for multiple roles...not sure what they'll decide on, if anything. I thought they were kidding when they said auditions would be from 5-8. It was pretty close to 8 when we got out of there. Then home for dinner, survivor, and 24 and now it's bed time...

Oh...while I was at auditions, Mike picked up the dear sweet angel. Bless his little heart.....

Maria, I think I already said so, but the kitchen looks GREAT!!

I should post pictures of our "do it yourself" before and after shots of our kitchen....

What other pet/funny names do you all folks have for stuff?

The kids used to lift their shirts, point to their belly buttons and say "Shot 'cha"
As in, "that's where the indian shot ya"....as if that is supposed to have it make more sense.

"Boop" for binky, or pacifier.

Pookie.....figure that one out for yourselves.

Yeah, those are copper back splash tiles. Jay made the copper valances, and the steel and copper pot rack.

We have wood beams in our house, too....but Jay made the steel beam brackets.

We have been known to ship things across the country for very special people, Maria....my DIS friends qualify!!

Oh yeah, that reminds me we also say "Pappas" for food and "ca-ca" for well you know...but I am hispanic afterall..these are just words I learned growing up...being in the south and not speaking spanish this is about as close as my kids are going to get to their heritage! LOL I even have my DH saying these words and he is full born southern!

Our before shots aren't digital either....but you can still post the "afters" ....inquiring minds want to know!!

Poor Mowana!! He looks cross-eyed ....from the drugs, or just plain disgusted with you??

Ah, the night owl brigade. I'm not sure OM sleeps anymore. Amanda, it's really late where you are! I guess someone's got to keep Stacey company, I've been early to bed lately. I used to stay up late, too. Don't know what happened. YAWN Kevin and Alicia are catching a 7 am flight to Houston tomorrow. And I'm not taking them to the airport, isn't that nice of them?

I have a "freebie" tomorrow...I can sleep in if I want to...but I can hardly keep my eyes open right now! So, I may just sign off and go mee-mees. Was that it??

That was it dear! Mee-mees for me too! I, unfortuantely do not have a freebie, will I do but he is asleep!:rotfl2: But I dont have a free day 2mmrrw work at 7am!

:flower: Good morning cruisers! :flower:

Happy Friday!

TGIF! All the kitchens look great and ours definately needs some work. Nothing as grand and fine as all of yours but it is the next room in the house that needs some updating. Like Sue however we keep traveling and not renovating :)

Good Morning All - It is finally really raining! In my area we haven't had anything more than a sprinkle since August 28.

The weather is just getting it out of the way before the NM dudes hit the town! :rotfl2: That is really NICE of you to arrange that!! :sunny:

One last post before we get out of here for the weekend. Going to see the baby granddaughter in Houston.

Alicia is getting dressed (this may take longer than I think) and then we hit the road.

OM, Mowana looks content. Especially with that cone thing on.

Later!!

It is supposed to be nice next week and now everything will be green again! Safe travels this weekend.

I have a few Cajun/french words that come out of my mouth every now and then ... most I wouldn't know how to spell. We do have a Cajun for kids CD that we listen to often. I do wish that my kids would have grown up with their heritage too but it won't happen. Here, they are more likely to have Spanish than French taught in school. We didn't even have an option to take Spanish in LA.

One day Emeril and Warrick Dunn were hosting a charity gumbo cook-off. The radio station had a contest to have a listener enter the cook-off. The caller had to know what some cajun sayings meant. All 3 callers were originally from La. I knew more of the answers than they did. Too bad I don't have an awesome gumbo recipe.

Well, it's Keifer's fault. You watch one....then have to watch another....then do a quick DIS check and pretty soon it's midnight.

Didn't sleep well last night b/c the cat slept with us and I had to protect him from Mike. :)
