All this kitchen talk, here is a before and after picture of a recent kitchen we did.

Enlarged the galley style kitchen approximately 3' into the living room.

After: The wrapped post is structural

Amazing what a lot of talent and a lot of money can do! Simply amazing. And I love the doggie!

We ALMOST had to have one of those beams in our kitchen but the architect opted for 28' "I" beams instead to carry the load. What a guy....

I am trying to find time to go... my weekends are just too busy lately... I am thinking of taking a personal day from work to spend a day at F&W... by myself if I have to... it's event-time for Ray again- not sure if he can sneak out of the office for a day or not.

It's funny what little pet names families have for different things. Diana's family always call peek-a-boo; peep-eye! The first time I heard that, I almost died. No worse than peek-a-boo, just different.

What other pet/funny names do you all folks have for stuff?

Kitchen remodel Show & Tell! Posted some pics of mine.

The first picture, I'm standing at the edge of the kitchen, looking toward the spot where I do my "DIS-ing" ...the rest are of the kitchen & breakfast bar.

Wow nice job Kevin! Too bad we are not neighbors. I have some small thigs around the house that I need direction in. Yeah, like I am sire you dont get asked that all the time.

Cute..... We could have supplied those I Beams....

They weren't metal ones. The manufactured lumber ones. We did need a flitched beam to put between to other wooden beams.

I love the golf chair that you had a picture of. Awesome workmanship. Don't worry, I have you in the back of my mind if I need any metal work.
