Bring your gear. We can do Blue Springs.

How tempting - But first we need gear :rotfl2: Still have not made that plunge.

We will need to make it a different weekend --- You will want us to make it a different weekend....after Food and Wine (and wine and wine) and Party of the Senses, I am not sure I would trust myself with a dive..... :teeth:

And I think I need a few more dives this decade -- We have never done a Spring.....There is a great State Park near BS so we can make it a camping weekend....

I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend!!

Sunday was productive for us. Not as fun had we had a dive (in 6 foot seas - not),

Anyway, after church we started to tackle to garden - yardwork is fun, when you can play, not when you have to wrestle with the garden. It was blowing up a storm and threatening to rain. I put in a good 4 hours, cutting, edging weeding and despite the 8 foot pile of trash DH carted to the street, there is much, much more to do....

Then we took our new neighbors an offering for their first anniversary - card, present, beer.......and watched football, drank beer, somewhere along the line out came the homemade chicken salad and rum....yummy.....

The real laundry was done, well - some if it, laundry never gets finished.....

Caught up on the Dis (that only took hours) and ready for another week...

Good Morning

:flower: Good morning cruisers! :flower:

Happy Monday!

Had a great day yesterday meeting up with DIS friends from the Member Cruise. We enjoyed an afternoon of pictures, pizza, Konk Koolers and chatting. Mark and Gary were watching the race and Mark even managed to keep it going down in the corner of the TV as we were watching pictures. All in all a fun day!

..., but held myself back from going into T-Mobile....I just know I would have come home with a new toy. And I want my experts here to tell me what the best thing to get is first!! Still talking and thinking about that BlackBerry.
What's the difference between those, and a PDA...or is that not what I'm thinking of??

A Blackberry is a PDA.... I love mine - makes emailing extremely easy... that being said - to get full functionality - you'd have to pay about $10 a month over whatever TMobile already charges to have access to what's called a BES (Blackberry Enterprise Server). Another choice is one of the Treo 650s or one of the soon to be released newer ones. It's a Palm PDA - and they have some very good email programs with it - that being said - nothing works as well as the Blackberry and email.......

For a change - I'm actually glad it's Monday and I'm back to work. I drove up to the WVU game on Saturday - left Lauren (DD 10) with Kristin (DD 20) as Kristin had a meet (she's on the WVU Equestrian team). Drove back to Charleston - went to a Hospital party (required thing...expensive too....) and then woke up Sunday and drove back to get Lauren - 8 hours of driving over 2 days was enough for me.....

The good news is - WVU won!!! in an 8 team meet.... Bad news is the WVU football team lost - but at least they didn't embarass themselves against VT.

For those of you interested - here's the link to the WVU Equestrian Team webpage that Kristin designed and maintains.... http://www.wvu.edu/~wvuet

KiKipug be forewarned. I am driving the Jeep today. :umbrella:

I can tell! Let me guess... you started driving it around 4:30AM when the sky opened up this morning! And now the rain has caused a semi to jack-knife on 92 just before our office... causing a nice traffic mess.

We did have the most beautiful double rainbow on the way into work this morning, though, so it's not all bad.

I'm headed out to our 'counterpart' over by OIA after morning traffic subsides... ought to be a fun ride if this rain keeps up... gotta bring the BudMan costume back. I thought about sitting him upright in the passenger seat just for laughs.

Mike used to carry a phone....a beeper....AND a PDA (a palm pilot)

Now he carries his Blackberry and it has everything in it. His is through Nextel so that we can have the walkie*talkies. :)

When I made it on Saturday I did it in individual serving dishes and it worked out great. When I make it in just a big pan it is to easy for Matt and Lisa to just eat the whole thing.

Good thing Matt and Lisa aren't HERE then, huh?

You can camp right at Blue Springs. Matt and I were talking about doing that the last time we were there. We might be able to make a little outing out of this.

It was the Palm Treo that Mike was telling me about. Problem with it, it doesn't do direct connect and he had to make the choice.....communicating with ME or getting a Treo. Smart boy! :)

He just gave me a list of pros and cons....but I can't follow them! I do remember: Treo can store medical books, Blackberry can't (like you care, Stacey)...Blackberry does direct connect....

That's it. Other than that my mind is blank. Maybe if the cat wasn't attacking my feet while he was talking I would have remembered more. ;)

Okay, I'll confess. At about 4:30 this morning I was heading out the door for my morning run. I had to wait until 5:30 so I would not get wet.

It's Monday so Lisa and I go out for breakfast. She talked me into putting the windows in the Jeep. Good idea! During breakfast it was raining, but the sun is out right now. Change that. It is really pouring now.

I'm sitting at home waiting for the bug guy. Carpenter ants have decided to live in the pool house without paying any rent so we are going to evict them today.

That'll teach you not to run at an ungodly hour...

I'm thanking my lucky stars that I politely declined the golf tourney I was supposed to play in today... I am looking out my window at how incredibly dark it is in the direction of LPGA... its gonna be a long, intoxicated (shh... I didn't really say that) day over there!!!

I don't think I've ever seen a carpenter ant in FL... didn't know they were here. Then again, FL has every OTHER bug known to man, so why not??

Good morning all! Working at home today. Took an anti-axiety pill last night & could NOT get out of bed this morning. Sat. night I took a 1/2 and it didn't seem to do much so last night I took a whole one ... too much! Also not sure if my sinuses are still acting up. I really need to be better NOW!!!

Well, I finally bit the bullet. I've been talking about doing it for a long time and now I have. I bought a custom made self-inking stamper that says in big, bold letters:

PLEASE REMOVE
ME FROM YOUR
MAILING LIST!!!!
THANK YOU.

I am going to stamp it on every credit card offer and mail it back (at their expense) I am going to stamp it on every order form for catalogs I don't want to get and fax them back. I am going to stamp it on most of the offers that I get for coin mint sets, Danbury mint items, magazine subscription offers, etc etc etc etc. I am going to stamp it on nearly everything. My brother did this about 2 years ago and now the ONLY mail he gets is stuff he actually WANTS! As long as I don't have to pay postage to get their thing back to them, I'll stamp it!!!! When we go on vacation for two weeks, the post office gives me the BIG tub of mail when I get back. After sorting through it, I end up with one neat pile about 3 inches tall--that's all that was worth keeping!

So, in 2-10 business days I will finally own my stamper!!!! :)

That is one of the only complaints I have - can't put the pocket "brains" on it....

So I use a Palm at work....... but carry the Blackberry....

I can't believe that I'm not getting blamed for it too..... but I didn't have it when I visited OM.....

Lemme guess... your just a *little* bit frustrated by junk mail??? :confused3

Good Morning All - My ex has been gone for 20 years, he is now out of state, and my Dad died in '99. I still get junk mail for both of them! OM, let me know if the stamp works, please.

I stop by the trash can on the way into the house when I pick up the mail. Bugs me less than all the Out of Area calls we get. And we're on the Do Not Call list!

So is it true that we need to get our cel phones on that list now? Alicia came home one day and told me that telemarketers are going to get access to cel phone numbers. Surely not!

I think what Stacey really needs to know, is which toy lets you get on the DIS?

We had a 'temporary' number for the first 3 weeks at our new house, while our old # was being 'sorted out' and given back to us... long story... yet within 1 day of our 'new' phone number being activated, we were getting telemarketing calls, not just 'blind' calls, but calls asking for us by name.... certainly doesn't take long for them to jump on new info!!!

(Thankfully, after 3 weeks of fighting with BellSouth and our former phone/cable company, we got our regular number back... which, happily, gets very few telemarketing calls.)
