Tomorrow I morning I fly to Scottsdale, AZ for two days of meetings. I happened to plan my flights well enough that Stacey and I are going to have lunch on Monday. Another pre-cruise meet for me, assuming they let her out of Vegas tonight.

Which is why you need to move to Florida. We left at 7:15 am and the gear is drying in the garage at 12:30 PM. We even stopped for breakfast.

Just think about all the extra time you would see Kevin by living in Florida and him not having to take all weekend to go diving at the Blue Hole.

Man! I like the way you think!!!

Besides, the diving is WAY better!!!

We were watching the news this morning before are morning dives and knew the storm was going to be bad, but this is sounding Terrible!!

Our hopes and prayers are going out to the people of New Orleans!!

I just realized that even if BIL and wife come home and their sale goes through on Thurs., they may not (actually, probably will not) have a place to live. Their plan was to move in to her family's camp on Lake Ponchatrain until their new home is complete in Jan. I've never seen the camp but know the street that it is on and what type of camps are there. If Katrina does hit New Orleans, there is going to be nothing left of it.

Please continue to keep everyone in your prayers. I still can't believe that my parents aren't leaving. They left for Andrew but aren't leaving for this one.

I was in Vegas last year at this time... it was 119... even the locals were complaining that it was hotter than normal. I distinctly remember reading my morning paper by the pool at the Paris Hotel at 8AM in the shade, and having to go inside because it was just too hot!!!

I'm taking extra DVDs so I have something to do in the Delta's Crown Room while waiting out the delays. This week is not the week to be traveling from the east coast to the west coast, and back.

Hi - we are back - safe and sound from our trip to Amelia Island. DH managed to come after all. Fights were cancelled but he drove up.

Had a great time, will post more about that later...

For now, prayers go out to all in the path of the recent storm.

Yes, you do (at least, that is the easy way). Can you create a "thumb" directory and then resize the pictures you want to post in there in the size you'd like. Link the post to the new directory as needed.

I think between 150 pixels and 250 pixels works best. Enough size to see clearly but not too big.
