Nope... sorry... isn't working! They SMELL clean!!!

Woo hoo... a TOP shared with Kevin, Chistopher, and his laundry!

2 soccer games today at a tournament (105 field temps ugh!!!)- and a movie in-between because I didn't want to drive back home...Dumping all of our clothes right into the washing machine - then showers for everyone so we can SMELL clean!!!

Went to see Valiant - skip it, unless you have a really cheap matinee price-we paid $2- it was better than Home on the Range but, that's not saying much...

Seems like everyone's busy, soccer, football, cheerleading. I'm off to help clean up at the dance team car wash. It won't let up until school is out again!

Amanda, hope you're feeling better.

Hope your family is safe, Ang.

You make me :teeth: Thank you for that . I need all of them I can get today.
PS I told Taylor today that we may spend a day with Elizabeth and she is really excited about it! I hope we can

It's really looking good for next weekend. I told the kids that we are doing lunch with 'a bunch of friends', and then trying to get Elizabeth & Taylor together at EPCOT afterward. Let me know if you're plans change, Amanda... we're flexible.

Right now, we have a closing date of 9/12, with hopes of at least moving all the boxes into the new garage on 9/11 if the sellers will cooperate.

Yes, it was a day of football for me... Christopher's game started about 2 hours late, so the whole day was behind. I brought home home for a swim between his game and Ray/Elizabeth's... when I went in my room to change, he fell asleep on the couch. I didn't have the heart to wake him... so I fell asleep too. 90+ temps just are NOT football weather as far as I'm concerned.

(And the same idiot who decides on WHITE practice uniforms (see my earlier post) must be the one who decided on BLACK game jerseys!!!)

I'm off to a charity benefit tonight. Ray and the kids are off to his dad's for an Italian feast. (wish I was). His dad, us, and a bunch of friends take turns cooking on Sunday afternoons and we all get together to watch the race... well... this weekend's a Saturday night race... so I miss out thanks to work. :guilty:

I'm just sneaking DIS time in between while the house is empty.

Angie- prayers for your parents are on the way... looks like they've got quite a mess headed in their direction.

Thanks for all of the prayers for our friends & families in LA/MS. Please keep everyone is the path of Katrina in your prayers. I spoke to my parents very early this morning. They're staying put. BIL & family are heading out. My best friend & her family are leaving as well. Was just looking on a New Orleans TV station website and noticed mandatory evacuations for the county where MIL lives. I need to have DH call her. We've been busy today w/ finishing painting the dining room, having the furniture delivered and going to Emily's 5th b-day party at a gymastics place. Kids had a blast. Will try to take pics of the dining room & post tomorrow. I haven't even started on weekend laundry ... where are those laundry fairies that we chatted about a while back? And while we're at it, maybe we could find yard fairies for DH too.

Ang

Hey Diana, thanks for thinking of me:sunny:

Amanda -- Very cruel words. I have gained a lot of weight since last year, thank goodness no one but myself gives me a hard time about it.

Angie - hope your family stays safe

Hope everyone in the hurricane's path stays safe.

We are having extremely warm weather here today. Here in west Texas, we don't have refrigerated air, only evaporative cooling. The humidity has been up because we have been having so much more rain than usual and boy does it make things hot. Can't wait till the temps come down.

Today my mom and dad celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary. I feel bad because I am not with them, but they both keep saying that we are going to have more fun when we celebrate in December at WDW. Can't wait to go.

Take care everyone

Ang, where do your parents live? It's looking more and more like it's heading for New Orleans. That's going to be very bad.

Since Kevin has not posted all weekend I am assuming he is diving in the Blue Hole. He will appreciate this when he gets back.

Matt decided yesterday we should go to Blue Springs this morning, Sunday. We called Red for some tanks. He is going to be in Blue Springs this morning testing some new equipment which means the cavern will be nice and bright. That is going to make it a bonus dive.

The news is not good with Katrina. It is now a Cat 4 and growing bigger. Someone is going to get hit very hard!

:flower1: Good morning cruisers! :flower1:

Happy Sunday!

Good Morning All -

Pam, we spent my parents 50th in WDW. Still have the cake topper they got from the Flying Fish in my frig.

Sue -- what kind of cake topper did you get?? I would like to try and do something special. We are doing the Candlelight one night, the Hoop de Doo another, was thinking about doing O'hana's one night.

I am not sure what it is called, but I would love it if they could be the grand marshalls in the MK parade one afternoon. I know it would just make my mom's trip. I wish there was some way to arrange that special. If anyone has any good ideas, please share. I really want to make this special. My mom's health isn't great, and I know this will be the last time we all make a trip like this together. I need to get my act together and start planning some of the special things. My mom is really excited about staying in the Grand Villa at OKW. Last time we all stayed in a 2 br and it was a little cramped.

Pam, I don't know about the Grand Marshall, but you might try calling Grand Gatherings and just ask what they can do for you. I think everything has a price, but maybe there's something special.

Yes, Kevin is at Blue Hole. He should be back this afternoon.

Oh no. The latest on Katrina is Category 5, with sustained winds of 175 mph. Time to pray.

Which is why you need to move to Florida. We left at 7:15 am and the gear is drying in the garage at 12:30 PM. We even stopped for breakfast.

Just think about all the extra time you would see Kevin by living in Florida and him not having to take all weekend to go diving at the Blue Hole.

Pam - It is a white chocolate carousel (good grief, I can't figure out how to spell) with 2 pink and white horses. This was back in 1998 and I called the dining reservation number. Our server also brought my Mom a corsage. Sadly all we remember about that trip is the HEAT, HUMIDITY and the FIRES. We went back to WDW later that year for a more memorable celebration.

Everyone please keep praying for everyone in LA, MS & AL since it's still not certain where Katrina will land.

My parents have decided to stay put. They actually have 2 houses (one in Morgan City, LA where I grew up) and one in Raceland, LA (my grandparents home that they purchased after they passed). They are together with my aunt, uncle, cousins, grandmother (89 years old) and brother in the house in Raceland. They feel that that one would fair better than Morgan City since the on in MC is more coastal and probably below sea level. Raceland is probably 30-45 miles southwest of New Orleans. Morgan City is even farther southwest.

All family and friends that live in metro New Orleans have left. Most are still on the roads in all different directions. My sister, who lives in FL, and I have tried to convince my parents to leave but they won't hear of it. Bruce's mom lives around Gulfport, MS. As of early this morning she wasn't going to leave but called back to say that they were heading to Pensacola.

Please, please keep everyone in your prayers. If this thing does hit New Orleans, I'm afraid people won't have anything to return to. BIL and wife are selling their house and were to close on Thurs. I hope they don't return to a flooded home.

We were here in 98 for the Fires. What a mess! I can understand why you had to come back because it really affected everything.

How'd you guess??

I'm assuming your referring to HID lights?? Just make sure the batts are disconnect BEFORE traveling. (don't asked me how I know.....)

Our dives were very nice. The group was small and had their act together, which makes our (the instructors) lives MUCH easier!! Actually sneaked in a night dive last night too!!

So I had a bonus dive too!!

Yes, there were 4 divers that were trying out some new lights. 4 HID's did a great job lighting up the bottom.

Red "happen" to drop his backup light (which looked a lot like one of my lights). Thankfully I was there to pick it up for him and carried it during the dive for him. That is what a buddy is for!

It was fun watching people go into the boil and ride it to the top of the cavern.
