I think Ava is a pretty name. Makes me think of Ava Gardner. I think Reese Witherspoon named her daughter Ava, so it's probably popular again.

The verdict is in... her name is Ava Catherine... a very beautiful name- I'm sure she's a beautiful baby... can't wait to see her!!! Unfortunately, they live 1400 miles from here...

Hi everyone! We are home! We got in late Tues but I had to work Weds and Today, and I will be working thru Sat, so I wont be able to post much until Sunday. Looks like yall have had lots of fun while I was away! I have not read the posts, there are too many. I enjoyed the meets. I was able to meet Irene and Sam, and MAry and Mark on Sat. Then just when I was about to give up hope on Patty, she showed up! So it is tru, 3rd time is the charm! I am quite shocled that my kids behavior, however, did not scare Irene and Sam out of this cruise. I was very embarrased by them. So, MAry, Mark, Irene and Sam I am sorry for the way my children behaved. I will know better in the future to attend any DIS stuff where they will be the only kids in attendance. After that embarrassing show, I had plans with KIKIKAren to get the girls together afther their meet on Sunday. I got the call from KIKI that said they were in France and headed my way in Canada. ANd when she said they, she really meant they.....Karen and Ray and kids, Sharon and Jim and kids, Irene and Sam, Fran and Dave and their DD. I was kinda unprepared for that, but it sure was nice to "see" everyone. They all took my kids on Soarin, and I fed Nate some lunch becasue he could not ride (he is only 2)......again my kids embarrassed me...I understand they were little hoodlums in the line for Soarin...Fran, KAren and Sharon I am sorry....do we notice a theme here?? LOL

Ohm pooh - they are kids,,,they were fine.....We had a great time...Wait to you drag around a hedgehog...then you will be subject to embarrassment......

Ww'll have a great time on the cruise - and sorry again that I forgot about the surprise, after telling Sam all about not saying a word...glad it went over the kids heads......

Glad you are home, welcome back and now it is time for 4+ posts a day......

Thanks... the good news for now is that it looks to be heading ENE... which means that it will move away from us... they are saying that it may loop around and come back next week again, but I'll just take one day's forecast at a time... I just want to MOVE this weekend!! (Yeah, I'm being selfish...)

Talk about selfish - I spoke with the dive master this weekend...we are still projecting 4-6 foot seas and I think we are moving the refresher dive into the pool.....this idea started with - hey honey, let's buy fins, mask and snorkel, it will be cheaper....oh right!!! sure!!!!

Greetings all - we are home! Well home at the Boardwalk


DCL did an amazing job of organization and the disembarkation was painless. Arriving by bus in Port Canaveral it was easy to see why they left the ship down south.

So we are safe and sound. Thanks for thinking of us. Jim - special thanks for giving us your cell phone number in case we needed it!

OK... good news... SHE'S A GIRL!!!

8 lbs., 8 oz... unnamed as of yet... (and we are anxiously awaiting the verdict... the names they have picked out are...um... unusual... yeah- that's a good word... unusual.)

So, 18-month old Calvin now has a baby sister. That's good news!!

Where did this subject start - who had a baby ---- can't find the first post......oh ack!!!! At least I know it is Ava,,,that is pretty.....

Pixie dust and prayers for my brother please. My mom just called. Someone has contacted him about possible employment. He would have to relocate to Lafayette, LA but that's ok with him. That's where he went to college. It's only an hour from where we grew up. If the person that had the job is not willing to relocate, the job will be offered to my brother. He had a job in New Orleans but it was a temporary sort of thing. This would be in graphics which is in line with what he wants to do.

I saw the story tonight about the lost pets - very sad...

We have just completed, what is affectionately called in our home. "de-pussing" the cat, so called because he gets rip roaring infections.... In a past life, I swear I must have been a vet....still, this injury is right above the eye, and I am concerned that an appointment has been made with the real vet.....

otherwise, it will be a kitty eyepatch.....

Yeah, but she sure is a lot fatter than the one in the picture. She weighed 63 lbs when she was at racing weight, but now she's pushing 80. She takes her retirement very seriously.
