any volunteers to help put away all our laundry and assorted things that the kids gathered in my vehicle for 2 weeks??!! And I have to go back to work 2mrrw.Sometimes it seems as though life is passing by too quickly!

Nope, sorry I had to clean out mine it's going in the shop tomorrow - it's a 1 1/2 yr old convertible beetle (really easy to clean out when you're doing 65 with the top down :teeth: ) and I've had it in the shop for repairs about every 8 weeks. This trip, the airbag light is on, the vents are blowing hot air when positioned on cool, and the left front turn signal is burnt out again...and the scheduled oil change. As much as I love my bug - if it's still having problems at the end of the warranty, it's going...I'm getting really frustrated.

Off to soccer practice - pool closed because of thunder but, once again it's perfectly sunny - no hope of soccer being cancelled here...

Ooooh Monica I did not know you had a bug! I think they are so cute! But I wasnt talking about my vehicle, my DH cleaned it out last night. I was talking about my house. I do not have a dining table right now, as it is covered with stuff.....stuff that I have no idea where to even START putting it!

OH ya kiki I am very impressed with how quickly you decided to sell and sold you home. I am so nervous about that procedure, that is why I have out it off even though we should have done it this year. We really are outgrowing this house. Maybe you could come do the same for my home? ;-)

OK OK I am trying to get my plans straigtened out for labor day weekend. Who exactly will be in WDW that weekend? I know that Irene will be, and I think Mary and Mark?? NOt sure though.

We'll be in WDW Saturday only. We are driving down and get in late FRiday night. Saturday we are hitting Epcot to ride Soarin with a friend from the 10 day. Then mid-day meeting Patty (ladypoo) to pick up Scoopie. Saturday night is the DVC Bon Voyage party at Pleasure Island (4-6 pm) with a DIS meet starting at 3 pm. Sunday we are up early for Mass and heading to the port for the Member Cruise!

hmmm....are yall meeting with Patty in a park? I may have to crash that meeting! LOL Seeing as I have been trying to meet with Patty for almost a year now!

I wish I was there! I thought you were headed down sometime soon as well Kev?
Yep, leaving Wednesday morning 5:15am........ going to be a long day on that one!

Sandy and Pam, I thought about yall on our drive. Ithought about Sandy on the way out, becasue we ended up going thru southern Illinois and I found myself wondering if we close enough to meet yall. And Pam, we hit Texas on the way home and U found mysekf wondering the same thing for yall. So we were close enough?

Probably not if it was too southern. We're a few miles 'south' of I-72 and about an hour south of I-74, but you were probably on I-70? :confused3

I am not quite sure but I just looked at mapquest and I think it was I-57 toward St Louis??!! We used our GPS this trip and I never had to look at a map! Itwas sooooooooooooooo nice! I am so glad that Jim and Kev brought that discussion into this thread, becasue it made our trip so much easier!

hmmm it has been a long time since I have gotten a TOP I wonder if I can take it??!!?!

Welp, quiet from Mary and I as it is under 5 weeks till we go away on a cruise, so I apologize now for an inattention from either of us, we're obviously a bit occupied... Member Cruise Website

Pretty quiet here at the library tonight...
ohh speaking of books ! I have found a new series that is cracking me up. It may not be everyone's cup of tea, but Ithink it is hilarious. They are by Mary Janice Davidson, and the 1st one is called Undead and Unwed! I found it on accident at Sam's for $3 ! I thought what the heck! I am so glad I bought it! It is so funny. It is about a girl named Betsy Taylor who gets dies and rises only to find out she is a prophesized vampire king! I know it sounds hokey but this book was so funny! It was Buffy meets Sex in The City! I had to go and get the next one while we were out of toen called Undead and Unemployed. I finished it last night, and now I need to buy Undead and Unappreciated! LOL

Actually, of the 3 houses that we have sold in the past 15 years, this one took the longest. The last 2 were under 2 weeks... but then again, the real estate market in New England was very different, and our last house up there was AWESOME! (I would have moved the whole house here if I could have.)

I can't take any credit for quick sales, though... it takes a good real estate agent, and I've got a great one here!

It also takes a great location. No one wants to move to central Illinois. I'm dreading the time that we're ready to move. There isn't much of a market here, but as long as DH has his job we're not going anywhere. But as soon as he can afford to retire the house goes on the market. Hmmm, maybe we'll just get one of those monster motor homes and live on the open road or wherever the weather is the best at the time. All I would have to do is get rid of a lot of STUFF! :moped:

Amanda,

What part of Texas did you come through. We are far west Texas and if I recalled you said you were going through Amarillo.
