Kikipug - Congratulations on the contract. That's exciting!! I'm with you with the packing. Come to think of it, I don't like UNpacking either. Let's pay someone for that one. ;)

Very busy weekend over here. Two baseball games, 1 bridal shower, and putting up new porch posts. Lots of fun. NO WDW Dismeets for this family. We're going to have to wait until May 27th for that one. Not too far away anymore. Getting closer and closer....inch by inch....

Well everyone, I must sign off now cause my eyes can't stay open much longer.

Oh, the school question. Here in NY we usually start the week of Labor Day and end around June 23rd. So, we have to take our kids out of school for the cruise. Only 4 days, though with Memorial Day put in there.

OK, really, I'm going to B-E-D now. Gotta get some beauty sleep. Boy, do I need it.

TTFN,
Maria

hi everyone we are home safe and sound! We drove straight thru from Colorado Springs to Biloxi (24 hrs!!!wowza, where my brother met us to pick up his DD and head back to Destin) Then we left Biloxi this afternoon and are home safely!

:flower1: Good morning cruisers! :flower1:

Happy Monday!

Back to work for me today!

Welcome home Amanda!

OM- congrats to your parents on their 50th!

Kiki - congrats on your contract.

I agree with Irene - we want details of the DISmeet!

Good morning everyone. I just posted on the Cruise board that the REAS package changed. Su Ellen from DU e-mailed me. They are no longer offering the "couples massage". In place of that, they are offering the "rainforest". I don't know about you, but I'm not happy about it. Now, if we want the couples massage, I think we have to wait until we're onboard to book it. I may be cancelling my REAS package.

What do you guys think? And, does anyone have this already booked? Better check it out with your TA.

Maria

I think this is it!!!! Darn 40 second rule!!

OH Yeah!!!!! Haven't pirate: a TOP in a looonnnngggg time. This is a great start to my day!!! Oh yeah, I'm ready for anything.....

Pretty crappy day here in NY. Very overcast and they are forecasting thunder storms later in the day. I don't care. It's our first day without camp or swimming lessons. Yaahhooo!! I don't have to wake the kids. Still have a lot of things to do, but at least I don't have to GO anywhere against my will.

Amanda - Welcome home. That's a long drive, isn't it? How do you keep all those kids happy in the car for sooo long?

We are driving from Southern NY to Syracuse(middle of the state) and then West to Niagara Falls this weekend and I'm getting a little nervous already.

Hope everyone has a great day. I know, it's Monday....Hang in there.

TTFN,
Maria

I'd be up for that. I can never get Mike to do a massage, but we both love the Rainforest room. Hmmm...

kikiKaren....congrats on the house...I hate packing too, but it'll be a lot of fun in your new house.

WDW meet people...have fun! Sounds like you're having a blast down there! Wish I was there!

Amanda....welcome home! we missed you! Well, *I* did. I can't speak for everyone else ;) ;)

I would go for REAS with the Rainforest room IF they dropped the price. It is now $339 which I don't think is worth it. We did it on the 10 day and through it was worth it not only for the massage but also because we could pre-book things. Now that you can do pre-booking online that takes that away.

We hadn't planned on booking it and based on how it is now we won't be.

OM - I'm also sending you a pm on another subject

Congrats on the TOP Maria!!

Welcome home Amanda!! Things have been pretty quiet around here. I feel a change is coming.......

on the REAS, we have never done that. Thought about it last cruise, but didn't get to it. We have heard warm things about the Rain Forest room, maybe this upcoming cruise I might try that. Do they let you take Banfi in there???

Maria - I posted over on your other thread. Someone started a thread either Friday or Saturday about this on the main board. I would go for the change if the price was lower but not keeping it where it was. We did it at the $299 price and it included pre-booking Palo (which wasn't available online yet) as well as the massage and thought it was worth it. With booking now online and the downgrade to the Rainforest Room I don't think it is.

As for the Rainforest Room on its own merits - we did it for the first time on the holiday cruise and loved it.

Maria - we did the REAS for our first cruise in January (and loved it) but, one of the main attractions was the pre-booking of Palo's, and the other extras. However, even before the pre-booking, I priced it out seperately, after all, we do not need another photo album you get in the welcome aboard basket. The couples massage was not special, it was a massage side by side...but since we had planned on a massage, it was worth the value for the first trip (as were the rose petals.)....Rainforest does not equal massage, in my mind....

I'd still consider this only if someone wants a real romantic treat, otherwise, with pre-booking - why? :earsboy:

Enjoy the falls, we did - we drove south from the Canadian side and enjoyed the park just north of the falls. There is (was) a wonderful TEA room we stopped at...... :wave2:

Well -- getting ready to leave for work today. Would love to have the day at home, oh well.

Amanda - Welcome Home

Karen - Congrats on selling the house, how exciting

Marching Band season officially starts today. Boy is it going to be a long fall and winter with Marching Band and Swim Meets competing against each other.

Have a great Monday!

Speaking of that, when does everyone's schools start.

Not soon enough!!! Don't think I'm going to like a post Labor Day start next year, the kids are so anxious to get back.

John started back this weekend. The kids start the 15th, Mike in 5th and Maggie in 3rd. I've got a 2 weekend intensive 40 hour Stott Pilates certification this weekend and the 3rd weekend in August. I've been craming the anatomy and physiology in review. The spinal muscles are about ready to do me in...So, we are already in the school mode around here. We're transitioning bed times earlier already, in preparation for school.

Soccer practices start this week - and I'm not quite so fortunate this year - Maggie's twice a week practices are on MW and Mike's twice a week are on TTH. Then add games, and I will be at the field 6 days a week...Just might as well set up a tent...

Wow, congratulations on your son being a senior. What an exciting year it will be for him. Florida schools must start really early. The Texas Legislature is trying to change our schools start dates by making all school within the state start after Sept. 1. A lobbyist told me that the travel industry was really pushing it so they could have longer summer vacations. We won't know for a while, because we are now starting our 2nd legislative session, because they can't reach a decision on the school finance reform issue.

Rumors reached here that it did pass...I'm thrilled there's still hope that it won't!!!...

I am going to miss Marching season. A new HS opens this fall just 2 miles from my home. They will have a Marching Unit in the fall or '06 so it will just be one year off. Both nieces play in the college concert bands but not the pep bands.

I am having the front my house 're-landscaped' and my driveway dressed. The dogs are going nuts. I think I will take a few Advil and see if they will settle down in the back part of the house. Sue
