I've got a 2 weekend intensive 40 hour Stott Pilates certification this weekend and the 3rd weekend in August. I've been craming the anatomy and physiology in review.

My bosses wife is Stott certified- she's in the process of opening her own studio. I've bought a few videos, but wouldn't think of actually doing pilates in public... I've got a long way to go before anyone else can actually SEE me do it... (my kids laugh at me...)

Well, hopefully by tonight we'll have the signed contract in hand for the house, which will make me feel better- I just hate the 'in-between' part of all the waiting. Still keeping the house spotless, as we do have a contingency clause in the contract if a better offer comes along.

No time to pack with Pop Warner Football/Cheer season officially kicking off today. Practice every night this week for both kids AND Dad, so I'll be there too, just to make sure Christopher survives his first week of tackle football. (hmm... too bad there's no wi-fi at the field).

Elizabeth had 'round 2' of her 'Medieval Torture Via Orthodontics' this morning; now she's got what looks like spare parts from my car's suspension hinging her top and bottom jaws together, in addition to last week's stretching rack implanted in the roof of her mouth. God knows WHAT she's going to eat- she can't even close her mouth! (And she doesn't have a pound to spare!!) Being the drama queen that she is, its gonna be a painful process for both of us!!!

Welcome home, Amanda! I give you all the credit in the world for making that drive with all the kids in the car. I would have lost my mind somewhere in the Midwest!!

Guess I'd better get some work done... my desk looks like a bomb exploded.

But at least I've got a TOP to start my day!

Well, there goes my relaxing weekend. Mike leaves Saturday for the yearly "boys only fishing trip" in Canada. Since I've seen my parents a zillion times in the last month, I planned on just staying home and chillin'. But now my sister emailed me and said my neice is coming up with the baby.....

so I guess I head to Cleveland this weekend!!!

Kikipug, congrats on the contract on the house!

Amanda, welcome home.

As for when does school start ... for us, the 15th. We have an open house at school on the 11th.

Spent a ton of money this weekend. DH got new parts for the computer. He thought he had it all fixed. It shut itself down on me twice last night - within 10 minutes. I gave up!

Finally bought a dining room set. After 6.5 years in our house & having an empty dining room I'll finally have something to fill it. Boy was that sticker shock! Now I've got to convince DH to paint the room as it's still builder's beige.

Have a great Monday everyone. I'm hoping the rain holds off. Emily has swimming lessons tonight.

We contributed to the economy as well. DH bought a tux!!!! We looked at the rental costs, the cruise dates, did the math and he took the plunge. I told him, now he cannot gain weight ever again....Am I bad or what!!!! :rotfl2:

I found a dress - (on sale so does that mean I can get more until dresses equal the cost of the tux?) :goodvibes

We have some painting to finish as well. I have had a line down the living room since the hurricane season last year. I painted one wall and the corner, drew the line to the arch and stopped, intending on completing the next weekend....well then came Francis and the rest is history.....

Maybe, I'll pick up a paintbrush in August, as it is too hot :earseek: to work in the garden. :wave2:

Be careful, some would say the same would hold true for the "pot" as well as the "kettle"....... :earseek:

WDW news!

Alicia just called me; They (Diana, Alicia and Matt) went to Who Wants to be a Millionaire and Alicia got in the "hot seat" again. She almost got the 16,000 dollar question and the Polo shirt, but didn't answer the last question right. :confused3

Bummer!, but still pretty cool. :goodvibes :sunny: I think we have about 4 hats and 4 sets of pins now. We need to bone up more before the next trip

I wish I was there! I thought you were headed down sometime soon as well Kev?

Jim,

How is the Driver's Training going with Matt. Seems like I remember seeing something about Matt learning to drive. Is he taking driver's ed, or are you doing the teaching. My son Dale is 15 and is doing the Driver's Ed through the community college I work for. He took a written at the beginning to get his learner's permit, but now he is supposed to take a driving and a written this week to pass the course. I had him drive home yesterday from my MIL's and then to and from church this morning and then home from Wal-Mart this afternoon. I figured getting throught he Wal-Mart parking lot was a lesson in itself. He won't actually get his license until next June when he turns 16, but I figure this way he gets used to a lot of driving with us before we turn him loose on his own.

It is a scary feeling having one of your children driving you around.

Matt drove me to WDW this morning. His first trip on the interstate. I did not have a stroke so everything went pretty well. He is going to try and get drivers ed this year at school, but not sure. He does not need it for the state, but it does make it easier. For the next year he is in the "School of Dad" class which is pretty tough.

Where ever I go, he drives. I figure road time is the key. Along with liquor for me.

Both those look nice. I have the car mounted unit, but I'm sure there would be times when the hand held would be VERY useful!!

Jim, I'm packing it up Tuesday. We have to be at the airport at 5:15am Wednesday morning for the flight out. Should make for a long day......

That's just about the time I will need to get up to go and get Matt from WDW. Think of me as he is driving me home. You might be safer in in the plane.

Now THERE's a marketable skill!!!!!

As long as she lets you go WITH her, you're all set. Hey wait... wouldn't it be considered a 'character' breakfast EVERY morning with you?

Sure sounds like it!

Well... we'll have a signed contract in hand on our house tomorrow; we should be moving by the end of September, if not sooner. So my DIS'ing time at home will now be replaced by packing. (Guess that means I'll be DIS'ing at work...) I HATE packing... when we moved to FL, Ray was here a month before I was, so I packed up 90% of the house by myself... THAT's not gonna happen again!!!!

What some people will do to get away from us! congratulations.

We have heard warm things about the Rain Forest room, maybe this upcoming cruise I might try that. Do they let you take Banfi in there???

Yes they do. I have come just short of call Room Service to bring in food. I have taken many different things into the rain forest and all have been good. The best time was when a guest could not finish her stawberries. They went real well with the white wine I had.

I just love the Rainforest!

Oh yeah... cause it's really SOOOOOOO much farther... (I think its a mile from gate to gate)... but now I'll live on your side of the road...

I know - I said I didn't want to move to that subdivision, but I've convinced myself that an extra 1000 square feet will be more beneficial to my mental health (yes, you CAN read that as "get these kids away from me for 2 minutes!") than the 'higher property tax' gated neighborhood we're in now.

Holy cow... mega-lightning!!! WOW!!! Time to get off the computer before it fries!!!!! Nah... never mind... I'll just run it on the battery.

Time to cook dinner. Shrimp tonight and no kids since Matt is off with Diana at WDW.
