Show off! :rotfl:

I think there are lots of ladies in our group that are much younger than me. To tell the truth, I was feeling sort of old. I do think I win the prize of being the oldest mom with the youngest kids. We got a late start.

You make it sound like you should be gracing the front cover of The Enquirer... "90 Year Old Woman Gives Birth to Quadruplet Albino Puppies".... you're not THAT old... we've seen pictures!!

Ray and I were determined to be all done having kids by the time we were 30 (he's 10 months older than I am). Christopher's due date was ON Ray's 30th birthday (how's that for planning)... but, true to Christopher's laid-back form, he had to show up a week late, just to make things interesting.

Bruce & I didn't get married until I was almost 31. We dated on & off for over 7 years before he FINALLY proposed. Everyone thought I was stupid for sticking around but he finally came around to my ways of thinking. Part of me wishes we had gotten married earlier & started a family earlier but I also have no regrets. I got to have my fun!

From todays' corporate "Business Brief"... for all of us WDWinos...

A Glass Of Your Mouse Wine, Please
(Friday, July 29, The Wall Street Journal)What happens when a couple of wine-lovers spend a week at Disney World with the kids? Well, we got to experience some magic, but we also suffered a twist that made Space Mountain look tame. We first visited Disney World in 1974. It was our first overnight trip as a couple and we stayed at the nearly new Contemporary Resort. It was so much fun that we wished we had rented a couple of kids. Now that we have our own, we've returned with them every year since 1994. So while it's just about impossible to know everything about wine at Disney World -- it's far too large and varied -- we do have a fairly extensive background. And it's certainly fair to take Disney World's wine seriously because Disney itself does: The company says it employs more sommeliers than any other company in the country, more than 350 at Disney World alone. Our first dinner, by family tradition, is always the seafood buffet at Cape May Café at Disney's Beach Club. Every year, we hope the wine situation will improve at this fun restaurant, and every year we are disappointed. The restaurant is next door to a wine bar called Martha's Vineyard, but the wine bar offers a small and tired selection that seems unchanged year after year. In fact, this year we gave up and had martinis. We rarely order real drinks, but this was special: Our old friend Gene Miller of the Miami Herald, a two-time Pulitzer Prize winner, died recently, and in his obituary, which he wrote himself -- so Gene -- he said, "In lieu of flowers, have a martini" and so we did. The martinis, by the way, cost less than two glasses of wine, which we know would make our thrifty friend smile. At the restaurant, the wine list is so limited and overpriced that we had beer.

Just heard that Best Friend's father passed away. Was on-line to check posts - and don't feel like checking posts right now. Later.

Boy - leave you guys alone for one day and what happens?

Heart-throbs, Baywatch Banfii Babes, Concert recaps - Whew.

A few replies to the past posts.

1. Coffee — No-one picked up on this. Coffee and I are like wine and I - yum. My favourite I would say is Dark Roast Kona from Fike Farms on the Big Island (well, I have the package in my desk to re-order).

2. Birthday Count down timers....before I join in, at what age do they start working backwards?

3. DVC - FYI - Our November Cruise will be our first-time as DVC members. All DH and I can say is "why didn't we do this sooner!"

4. Amanda - I hope you feel better!!! :cold: Pam, I hope you feel Cool!

5. Have a great time at WDW this weekend. I tried to talk DH into another trip, but not this time.... :earsboy:

6. Thanks for the note on the countdown timers. I think that same site has zapped pictures as well.

7. As for past musicians, because it is Friday and in honour of my friend's father, I will post from the Byrds:

To every thing, turn, turn, turn,
There is a season, turn, turn, turn,
And a time to every purpose under heaven

A time to be born, a time to die
A time to plant, a time to reap
A time to kill, a time to heal
A time to laugh, a time to weep

To everything, turn, turn, turn,
There is a season, turn, turn, turn,
And a time to every purpose under heaven

A time to build up, a time to break down
A time to dance, a time to mourn
A time to cast away stones
A time to gather stones together

To everything, turn, turn, turn,
There is a season, turn, turn, turn,
And a time to every purpose under heaven
A time of love, a time of hate
A time of war, a time of peace
A time you may embrace
A time to refrain from embracing

To everything, turn, turn, turn,
There is a season, turn, turn, turn,
And a time to every purpose under heaven

A time to gain, a time to lose
A time to rend, a time to sew
A time to love, a time to hate
A time for peace, I swear it's not too late

Irene,

I'm sorry to hear of your friend's loss. My thoughts & prayers are with you & your friend's family.

We're staying put this weekend - I just tried to take the kids to the pool - the minute we stepped out of the car - thunder - sunny but, thunder which meant no swim, the lifeguards had closed the pool- so, back in the car - now we're cleaning the kitchen - a fun weekend at our house!!!

Hi guys, Nick is here for a few days so my time is on the pc is limited. We saw Charlie and the Chocolate Factory today. Johnny Depp, I must say Captn Jack he wasn't. How amazing to change like that. I have to laugh about the teen heart throbs since I am probably the oldest poster! Beatles, Dave Clark 5, Herman' Hermits, mostly British. And I was on the Buddy Dean Show several times in the mid 60's.

Yes, we really wanted to go...ok I really wanted to go, but not this weekend. WE have a fun weekend plannied - cleaning, oh well, it must be done. DH has a head start and has already installed the new light in the Utility room, purchased the new mailbox, our front cover is hanging off by a screw :rotfl2: and trimmed the coconuts from the tree.

Me, I shopped for a new dress with sparkles, cooked dinner and am drinking a lovely wine....Hum, must tell DH

Thanks for the invite, but I'm going diving instead. Gotta test and check out my new camera, wide angle lens and UW housing before next weeks dives in Key Largo!

Good morning Cruisers!
We sail in 45 weeks!

Woo Hoo - Another week closer to cruising!

I hope that all our friends down at WDW have fun today. I believe tonight is the big group dinner!

Good Morning everyone! Stayed at MIL's last night and have to get ready to take my sone (Dale) to Driver's Ed. We are almost done with this phase (thank goodness) He takes the driving test on Tuesday and the final written on Friday. He still will need to keep a learner's permit until next summer, but this way he gets a whole year of driving with us before being put out on his own.

Have a happy weekend everyone.
