Found out today that my computer is infected with a deadly virus. It took me forever to get on here...read one post, and pop-up comes on, click it off, lose the page.
Sooo...before I leave on Thursday, I have to back up all my files onto disk, and then figure out where to go from there when I get home.
We are taking the lap top, so I hope to check in from the World. But in case the whole computer crashes like Megan & Pete's did ( and I can thank them for giving me the same virus!).....I wanted to let you know what was going on, so you didn't think I croaked or something.

However, I recommend a double whammy of Trend Micro PcCillin and AdAware.

Yes, definitely Spybot too at some point. But those two to start. Frankly, Mcafee and Norton both are in the near useless category now. The hacks write their garbage specifically to target and disable those two.

That sounds a bit.. extreme. I would at least try to get a good virus killer up and running to stop it first.
