Long story short....we were offered a cruise with the Mirage Hotel people, on Princess, in October....so after talking it over, Jay & I decided it would be a better time for us to go then, as opposed to August, with school starting and all.
Good eye, by the way!

Cool! You guys are hard to keep track of! :) Which Princess Cruise and where will you be going?

:flower1: Good morning cruisers! :flower1:

Happy Friday!

So glad the end of the week is here! Quiet day on the thread yesterday. I'm sure we'll more than make up for it in the days, weeks and months ahead. :)

Maria, I am 5'4", long torso, short legs. Kevin is 6', all legs. When we sit next to each other, we are the same height. I think Alicia is a mix of the two of us, so she's sort of in proportion! But I was hoping for taller, she's still got time. She's taller than me now, at least.

Bruce & I are opposite of you & Kevin. I'm the one with the legs. He's the one with the long torso. We're about the same height (5' 8") but he's taller when we're sitting. I think that is subject to change after my back surgery. The surgeon said that I'd gain 1-2" in height! His mom always hoped that we'd have kids with my long legs. That was not my wish unless we had a boy. I've hated my long legs. Emily seems to have his long torso & short legs although she's in the 90-something percentile for height. Ashlely seems to be proportioned equally.

My DH Bruce thinks I'm obsessed with Disney & am crazy for it!

As for his likes/dislikes, etc. He's a runner ... any other runners out there? He's the 1/2 marathon type. On weekends he goes for long (1.5-2 hour) runs. His personality ... anal! We're opposites when it comes to that! What he wants to do on the cruise (or any other vacation for that matter) ... just veg out!!! We're so opposite on that aspect too - I like to be doing something at all times, unless of course I'm lounging by the pool or on a beach ... and both of those are things he hates!

Man, that makes it sound like we're not very compatible.

Bruce is an electrical engineer by degree but he's what I would call a computer engineer. BTW, we're both in computer-related fields. I'm in web application development/support. He's in to the embedded processors for wireless devices (phone, PDAs, etc.).

He's a great dad & husband. Does his fair share of helping with the girls - gets them ready & out of the house 3 days a week so I can workout before heading to work, gives them baths. He also helps around the house some - cleans the kitchen, helps fold clothes. I can't complain!

Good Morning - Right Back. :flower:

The Cliff Note Version of responses, then I promise to work on helping us to 12000.....Work kept me away yesterday.

Prayers Again for Friends and Relatives in London.
smiley-flag-35.png
No report from relatives yet on the mood of the Country first hand.....

Pixie dust and prayers for all of you out west in the heat wave. :firefight You need some :umbrella: Matt - you can drive now - work some magic!

Thanks to all for playing the "Beam me up" Game in memory of Scottie - wow, we do have some things to thank that series for.... :)

Mystery Spouses - :earsboy: :earsgirl: I have bookmarked the pages and will go back and read all you have written. My spouse has long since realized I am nuts - and chatting with you guys is just another manifestation. Regardless, he is a wee bit shy, :blush: so I will let him introduce himself when ready (although he is all for mini-meets) - go figure!

Great news for the savings on the cruise - wow, we deserve many pats on back for that :flower3:

And what a mixed group we are - post 500 and post 6000 for us and working on post 12000 for the thread.....How cool! :cool1:

I'm not sure I will trade Chucky Cheeses for housework, but it is tempting....This weekend, it is off to M's to have a good scrub-down of the kitchen. :bday: It was what she requested instead of presents... DH and I are planning on a full day of spit and polish - any good short cuts are welcome.

Mark - Hedgie says thanks, she will work on this after hours...

Do we have any wee ones reading this or can I say "Back to School" :laughing: with abandon (sorry Matt and Little Lisa).

Finally, Scoopie, can't wait to meet you.

Good Friday Everyone. Forgive typos. :wave2:

In honor of our friends, relatives and troops in Britain, my Friday Kaeoke will be the little known second verse of God Save the Queen!
smiley-flag-35.png

O Lord, our God, arise,
Scatter thine enemies,
And make them fall:
Confound their politics,
Frustrate their knavish tricks,
On thee our hopes we fix:
God save us all.

And now, back to Fluff ---

Who controls the Smilies Board....they have all moved around and are hiding. Sorta a Harry Potter photo trick - come back here........cheerleader....

oh well, back to work. :wave2:

24 hours. Maybe this will work if you get them back again.

41. To keep FRESH FLOWERS longer Add a little Clorox, or 2 Bayer
aspirin, or just use 7-up instead of water.

42. When you go to buy bread in the grocery store, have you ever
wondered which is the freshest, so you "squeeze" for freshness or
softness? Did

you know that bread is delivered fresh to the stores five days a week?

Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Each day has a
different color twist tie. They are:

Monday = Blue,

Tuesday = Green,

Thursday = Red

Friday = White and

Saturday = Yellow.

So if today was Thursday, you would want red twist tie; not white which
is
Fridays (almost a week old)! The colors go alphabetically by color
Blue-
Green - Red - White - Yellow, Monday through Saturday. Very easy to

remember. I thought this was interesting. I looked in the grocery
store
and the bread wrappers DO have different twist ties, and even the ones

with the plastic clips have different colors. You learn something new

everyday! Enjoy fresh bread when you buy bread with the right color on

the day you are shopping.

Well, I can get back to the boards now that I've finished HP. As for Friday kareoke...I'll have to think about that one for awhile. Frankly I'm surprised that everyone didn't 'fluff' their way to post 12000 last night or this morning. Have a great Friday, everyone.

Does prepation H work on difficult clients too???

Since it shrinks a--holes...........

Most appropriate kareoke for Central Illinois:

Heat wave
Heat wave

Whenever I'm with you
Something inside
Starts to burn deep
And my heart's filled with fire
Could be that I'm very sentimental
Or is this just the way love's supposed to be?

chorus:
I got a heat wave
Burning in my heart
I can't keep from crying
Tearing me apart

Sometimes she calls my name
Yeah, yeah, yeah, I can't explain
I feel, yeah I feel
I feel this burning flame
This high blood pressure's got a hold on me
'Cause this is the way love's supposed to be

(chorus)

Oh yeah
Oh yeah

Oh yeah
Oh yeah

Just give me another chance
This could be a new romance
