Wow! I think I remember you saying that your last day is May 26. Is that the last day for the kids as well? We (kids) start Aug. 15 and finish up on May 26.

No, the 26th is the last day for teachers. I THINK the kids' last day is the 24th. Just pray that we don't have any hurricane days to make up this year!!!!!!!

Between Charley, Ivan, Frances and ???????? the name escapes me............we had to get special permission to cut out school year "shorter" and we made up days during the school year. However, we were not nearly as bad as other counties.

Thanks, for putting everything in perspective. Even my final four shows of S. O. M sound better than Chuck E Cheese or cleaning. I'm hearing "Loney Goatherd" in my sleep... But, wouldn't trade for either one of those - my house will need to be condemned by the time the weekend is over...

NO WAY! I'd rather poke my eye out with a sharp stick. Thankfully, there is not a Chuck E. Cheese within 30 miles of us now. That place was created by an evil, evil person!

Our kids go back on the 8th, and get out on May 24. We made up our hurricane days on the Teacher Duty Days, added 17 minutes to each school day, lost a few vacation days, and did away with the 1 hour early release Wednesdays, giving an extra hour back each week. Let's hope that this year sees NO hurricane days!!!!

Where is everyone today? I went out at lunch to go furniture shopping for a new breakfast set. I may have found something. I was expecting to come back & have a little light reading while having my Lean Cuisine lunch but there's nothing.

It is quiet here today. Everybody must be working. I went Wild Goose Chasing this morning (estate sales).

Our schools start Aug. 11 and get out on May 24, which is only a half day. I think Alicia will actually be done at the charter school the Friday before that. They have slightly longer days, and I think other school systems have a Fall or late winter break that we don't have. Alicia only has one day for Fall break this year, not long enough to go to Food & Wine!

I haven't yet, but probabaly need to get on it. With it's new upright position, I'm sure there will be a renewed interest. Remind me again on the dates you guys are there.

I plan on being there Friday (8/5) morning to dive, with diving on Saturday and Sunday. Leaving Sunday afternoon. Matt has school on Monday.

I have a request. Only a few of us have spouses or SO's posting here. Most of you have "mystery spouses". How about "introducing" them? What they do, what their personality is like, what they want to do on the cruise. No details they would get mad about, but hey, they should read the thread too!

I would go first, but I think you guys know too much about my spouse already.

Kevin... I think that's a hint... I have a very hard time believing that you haven't given her ANY idea what to get you for your birthday... then again, you're probably one of those guys who buys things that YOU like 2 weeks before your birthday, Christmas, or any other gift-giving holiday, rather than drop the hint and wait patiently. Hmm... why do I know that type??? Oh, that's right, I've got one of those too.
