I resisted HP for awhile and then since Mike persisted, I read them before allowing him to read them...Same with the movies - we see them first, then make the decision on a story by story basis...
Conversely, we're a Pokemon free household - and that's become a problem for Mike- with peer pressure and ridicule - we told Mike this week, if he could write a persuasive letter outlining why he wants to watch/play Pokemon, we'd take it into consideration- he learned how to write persuasive letters last year in school, so he's taking his task very seriously...
