Since no one is up, maybe I'll stick around and take it to 10,000 all by myself!!!

Think your cone is a bit soft from the Texas heat - it should be 9,100!!! At least you remembered to log off!!! :rotfl2:

Kevin - thanks and to use your milestone 2000th post (1000th on this thread) to say that means so much!
No fooling? I didn't notice that until you pointed it out!!

Guess that was as "profound" as it gets........ :rotfl2:

Is there such a thing as an extra closet???? I'm jealous!!!! You probably even have a basement too.... :worship:

the things we give up in exchange for no snow... (sigh)

Good morning everyone!!

It's been a couple of days since I posted. A little crazy around here. You guys are sure posting a ton of pages. I can't keep up with most of them. Mostly fluff anyway....;) The weather has been fantastic. Don't come around here with that Jeep!!! The pool temp went down 12 degrees last week due to cold nights, but is slowing making it's way back up to 82 degrees. Lovin' it...:goodvibes

Construction update:
Things are coming along around here. DH is working on the plumbing and the electrician has one more day until he's done with the roughing. Then we could request our framing/mechanical inspection and carry on with the insulation and sheet rock. That's when the REAL mess begins. If anyone has ever had drywall/sheet rock (depending on which part of the country you're from), they know the dust gets EVERYWHERE!! Right Kevin? My DH just made an awesome proposal, no not that, the poor guy is too tired at night to even think about that. We have an extra walk-in closet in our bedroom (can you believe it? :cool1: ) that would've just collected junk...well he thought that we could put the washer/dryer in there!!!! He really does love me. And him being a plumber and all...not extra charge!! What a guy. He's my hero. Now, I don't have to go down 3 flights of stairs to do the laundry. Life is good.

Well, back to work and getting breakfast going. This is our first weekend day where we don't have to be at baseball. Camp starts on Tuesday. So, we have tomorrow too for lounging.

Have a great day.....

Wait a minute. I get to rip off another rung on our paper chain for our cruise. How many weeks left? Mary, where are you with your update...I miss you. Probably too early after that great vacation they had. Love the pictures by the way. Is it 47 weeks???

TTFN,
Maria
Sounds like things are moving right along!! Tell DH, "way to go" on thinking of the laundry room idea. Sounds like it will work out wonderfully!! :cheer2:

And yes, the sheerock phase is always the one with the most dust generated. We even have a vacuum/sander tool that catches most of it, but it's like flour and loves to float around the house. The best thing to do is shut off the air conditioning equipment during the worst of it, so it doesn't get pickup and spread throughout the WHOLE house.

Scoopie - looks like you are having a wonderful time in TX!

YES you do!! :earseek:

Thanks!

and a TOP pirate: shared with Mary and Little things!!! :rotfl2: :rotfl2: (sound familiar Hon!!!)

I know I'm late to the party but have you guys been seeing the picture of the day thread. Kevin put his beautiful moon picture in from the 10 day. I added a picture of the pirate ship from the 10 day. Really fun thread.

Yes, it's turning out to be a bandwidth sucker for the DIS boards :earseek: , but some GREAT pictures!!

For all you Punny folks:

A Kentucky horse breeder had a filly that won every race. But as she
aged, she became temperamental. When he raced her in the evening,
she won handily. But in day races, she finished last. He consulted the
top veterinarians and horse psychologists, to no avail. He finally gave
up, because she had become a real night mare.

Went to the neighbors tonight for dinner. Pork Marsala. I helped him build an entertainment center so this was pay off.

For dessert we did a tasting. Standard ruby port vs. 20 year old tawny port. The tawny won! Similiar taste but the 20 year old was so very smooth.

I'll pick up some next week in CR, duty free!
Jim, This Tawny looks VERY interesting.
Look at the rating! 98 out of 100!! Not bad!!

Now that we are back I had to change my countdown times. Took off the WDW trip but I added our trip to Disneyland in. So if anyone is out in the Disneyland area and would like to get together for a pre-cruise meet let us know! Really looking forward to seeing Disneyland decorated for the holidays.

Just can't go without counting down to something fun!

:sad1: I just read in the paper that Paul Winchell died on Friday - he was 82, I think. Tigger, next to Mickey, has always been my favorite character. His voice will certainly be missed!!!

Good morning cruisers! Looks like Scoopie is having a great time! Should we get him a tiny souvenier, a pin or something for each trip? We could give them as prizes to the kids on the cruise, maybe at the first meet. Just a thought.

Kevin & Alicia are off for a D&D day. To make up for being gone constantly since we got back from the trip, mostly making up to me. I'm going to work today. So if you see me posting, tell me to get back to work!

Mary, I know what you mean about looking forward to the next trip. Always need a plan! That's the best thing about DVC, you know there will always BE a plan. I used to think I went into a depression after each trip, because all I want to do when I get back is sleep. But I have a come to realize that it's really just a hard time re-adjusting to the altitude (we live at about 5500 feet). We've been back two weeks and I'm finally starting to feel semi-normal. At least I wasn't depressed!

Monica - I read that on the CB. Very sad. Tigger is one of my favorites too!

Diana - I know what you mean about getting back in the swing after vacation. I was really in a daze most of yesterday and I had plenty of down time at WDW. I think part of it was that the heat and humidity was very draining. Plus we had much later nights than normal. Getting up at 1 am due to fireworks will mess up your sleep schedule, but boy was it worth it!

Another thing I love about DVC is the washer/dryer in the room. I did laundry on Friday night while we relaxed in the room and when I unpacked everything just had to be put away. Nice! I never thought I'd be a fan of doing laundry on vacation but it really worked well for us.
