Quiet day here today. Everyone must be out and enjoying Summer.

Me - I'm just chilling out. Getting ready to watch the Nascar race, checking the DIS, unpacking. Getting ready to head back to work tomorrow.

Another thing I love about DVC is the washer/dryer in the room. I did laundry on Friday night while we relaxed in the room and when I unpacked everything just had to be put away. Nice! I never thought I'd be a fan of doing laundry on vacation but it really worked well for us.

That's funny!! We always do the same thing. Much nicer than carting back dirty clothes. :rolleyes1

Alicia and I took my father to see Mom (at convalescent home) and then went to see Herbie. It was cute, lots of families there.

Coming out of the theater it was raining.... just wondering where Jim is???? :umbrella:

Spending the day in Orlando. Took Lisa to gymnastics camp (surprise). Sharon and I went to Citywalk for dinner and a movie. Saw Mr. and Mrs. Smith. Not all that good.

It was sunny all day so don't blame the rain on me. You may want to check where Ohiominnie was.

Thats right!! How did it go?

Last time we ate at Margarita-ville, I wasn't overly impressed. In fact, not impressed at all. How was your meal?

I agree, but at $100 per bottle it better be good.
You're right!! I was thinking the same thing!! Might be nice to "try" some though, wouldn't?

Sure would be nice. I look forward to the bottle you are bringing to Kay Largo. :cool1:

It was fine. We had the crab/mushroom cheese app. and split a burger. The setting was perfect. We sat out side. They had a guy playing the steel drums. The margaritas were great!

It's not a gourmet meal, but advertising does work. I listen to Margaritaville radio all day long and after a while you just have to go.

Details! What dessert wine?

It was a muscat from Beaulieu Vineyard in California. I didn't do any research & just picked one of the 3 muscats that Kroger had. One bottle was $56! It was a lot better drinking it with dessert rather than alone. I made creme brulee. It's been so long since I've had it that I can't recall what the consistency is supposed to be. Is it supposed to be thick (hardened)? Mine was the consistency of pudding (actually a little bit runnier). It still tasted good though. I did have a big disappointment. Someone gave me the creme brulee set. I assumed that the torch was filled. NOPE! Oh well. That just means that I'll have to make it again one day.

I have been AWOL again and I can't seem to catch up on all the posts I have missed. Have I missed anything good??? Went to Tucson and dropped Ashley off and didn't get back home until Tuesday night. Went back to work on Wednesday, My oldest son Dale turned 15 on Thursday and Ashley got home from swim camp on Thursday night.

Now, I need to take a minute to brag on Ashley. We had 1 event at a swim meet on Friday night and then spent all day on Saturday at the meet. Ashley had an awesome meet. She won her first event on Saturday and improved her times in 7 out of 9 events over the 3 days. Ended the day with a 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 5th and was tied for 2nd place overall. Went back today and she placed 2nd, 2 3rd's and 7th and ended up as the high point age 9-10 girl. She got a trophy and was soooo excited.

In between all of that, my SIL got married last night and we had a late night.

Hopefully, I can catch up again and find out what has been going on with everybody lately

Their mind-control tactics work, don't they! I love to sit out front in the big adirondack chairs, margarita in hand and pretend to be on vacation... even if its just for a little while!!!

Since everyone here likes to talk wine, we had an excellent wine last night at my SIL's wedding. It was from a local winery called La Vina. It was a Reisling and I think it was truly the best wine I have ever had (had several glasses). I plan on going out to the winery soon and buying some bottles. We also had a great champagne for the toast last night from the same winery and it was excellent as well. Will post more after I have had a chance to go to the winery so I know how much it costs, etc.

Sunny all day here. Hit 96 degrees. Was listening to Orlando weather and traffic on XM and we had Orlando beat by 7 whole degrees. Not a drop of rain here.

KT and I went to the church crop. :)

Is this the Jimmy Buffet Margaritaville?
We have a Cheeseburger in Paradise here and it's pretty good. And VERY reasonably priced. :)

Thanks Kevin. We did not have a lot of expectations for this meet because of her being at swimcamp all week. They told us that because of the number of workouts (4xday), the kids would be exhausted and expect slower times. She was completely amazing.

Ughh, another weekend over and time to think about getting ready for work tomorrow. Why do we have to work;)

Does everyone have big plans for July 4th. A little depressing, we were in WDW last year on the 4th. That was amazing. Caught the fireworks at both MGM and then EPCOT. Gotta love staying at the BWV. We cancelled our plans for Austin next weekend, as we are hoping that Ashley makes the State Swim meet towards the end of July, also in Austin
