OK, now you're just bragging. You know the rest of us can only dream of that option. Of course, makes me think of all the bites we got last week whenever we were around water. Lots more little bugs this year, is that a result of the hurricanes last year?

There wasn't a problem with the Bugs while we were at dinner. Later in the evening, we were talking to our neighbor outside and the bugs started to bother us then.

Yeah, but it won't help you any... sorry.

As long as you have told the kids by the night before - we can always have a mini-meet at our house for drinks and swimming. I think you will be able to make the "long" drive between the sub-divisions. Surely you will be packed by then and ready to "start your vacation"

Christmas.... if I make it that long. Besides, they know that I have 'friends' who live 'over there' ... so I am sure we'll get together before then. They just don't need to know that we're cruising together in May... besides... I'll be packed by May 1!!!

Speaking of Christmas... does anybody remember if DCL has it's own chocolate coins in the gift shop? I know that there are Disney ones at Goofy's in DTD, but I'm looking specifically for DCL ones. (I think I am going to go the 'themed stocking' route for telling them about the cruise... and chocolate coins are a family tradition that goes back several generations.) Anybody know???

And then there's Alaska, summer 2007. Almost time to book that one! Think DCL will be there by then?

I wish DCL would go to Alaska, but I am not holding out any hope. Maybe we can organize a "DCL Meet" on another cruise line - you don't think DCL would mind us starting a meet thread for another line (it's not our fault they don't cruise in Alaska). Jim didn't think they would understand. HA HA

If it's DCL in Alaska, I'll have to talk DH into letting me go, with or without him...

SURE you could start a thread. it'd just have to be a bit cryptic! It couldn't say "DCL cruise to Alaska mm/dd/yyyy" How about a simple "Anyone else joining me on the cruise mm/dd/yyyy?" ;)

I want to do an Alaskan cruise! Mike's not so sure. His nurse at work did one and hated it. Said everyone was old and it was cold. Everytime they went out on deck they needed heavy clothing on or they'd freeze. Also said "ya see one glacier, you've seen them all."

You know, hon, we'll have to check with the "Gang" first.

So, do you guys want to go? I hear the ballroom is very nice!

You want us to plan 7 (seven) (1+6) (2+5) (3+4) years in advance. How many posts would that be...We'd be kicked off DIS BOARDS for blabbering! :disrocks:

Now I'm talking to myself.

Irene, I enjoyed your post. I think it's safe to say, you are our official "Historian". That means you get to keep track of the fluff!

Do I get another shirt? :charac2:

You can use Disney Vacation Club Points for an Alaskan Cruise - so why can't we use DISBOARDS for cruising on an Alsakan ship with Disney points? :boat:

We are actually thinking of that for 2007 - a lot more realistic than the Queen Mary Trip.

Alaska - COLD - gee - no kidding....but I htink you get out of a trip what you put into it....better with Disney though! :goodvibes

So, are you guys ignoring me now? Didn't like my 14 point post - come-on - give a cruiser a break :cool1:

I liked it! I think you should be in charge of the "Cliff Notes of the Day!" so that we don't have to read through all of that blabber! ;)

We'll have to work on him this May. :drinking1

We are crusing in November and can pick you up a few. I don't think so because they used pirate coins on the towel animals...I'll check the photos...

We would love to do an Alaskan cruise and 2007 would be perfect so count us in! DCL or not!

GRILL RECOMMENDATION-

This is harder than it sounds. DH has all sorts of parameters for answering such questions, what are you grilling, how large a spaces, how ofter will you use, what is the cost range, blah - blah

So basic all around Grill, is a Weber (hah - I knew that) GENESIS "C".

I has 3 burners and you can turn off the middle for convection style grilling. It has a handy side burner. http://www.weber.com/bbq/pub/grill/2005/gas/gg_gen_s.aspx

Ok - work done  Back to fluff :teeth:

Thanks - if they only have regular 'Disney' ones, I can get those at DTD... I plan on doing some of my Christmas shopping there this year, anyway.

We'll be on the Wonder in September and can check for you too. If you think of anything else you'd like to pre-buy for the surprise let us know.

I don't think I could do an Alaskan cruise... I never want to see a large chunk of ice and snow for as long as I live... there's a reason I moved to FL!!!!

Besides, my idea of a cruise will always be palm trees, sandy beaches, WARM breezes on the deck... even though I have those things every day now. (I expect them even MORE on vacation!!!).

Another stupid question, while we're on the subject... (as you know I haven't cruised DCL before)... is the soap/shampoo in the room the same as on-site in WDW, or are they packaged for DCL? I have some WDW ones to put in there, but if there are different DCL ones, I'd love to get just 2 each of them...
